Orddoir panels for my 81 camaro they showed up damaged sent pictures in within an hour of receiving package. I was told to send more the next day and did still no response called again said they needed more pictures that were not on the list and sent them. Called them again today was told that they are waiting to hear from ups before they can send replacement or refund now it's going to be another week or two before I even find out if I get a refund if ups doesn't dispute it what a joke
Their catalog is very vague regarding vehicle fitment. Their website is poorly designed. When returning items, they do not refund shipping cost. Many times it costs twice as much for the customer to ship an item back, then when they ship it to the customer. They underweight the item and take advantage of the shipping company. Not an ethical company. Steer clear.
The worst customer service I have ever had experience with. Had to file a claim with bbb and the fraud department at my bank because of mislabeled door panels being shipped to me and damaged items. They want me to pay shipping back to them for items that are junk. Hope this review helps someone.
I was sent a wrong fitting to a PS conversion kit. I've spent nearly 2 hours talking to tech and customer service. I have sent emails 2 times with pictures showing the problem. I'm being told after I have spent
$910.00 on this kit that I'll have to buy the part that they sent wrong. Its a $12.00 part. Any decent customer service would have sent the part and admitted fault and moved on. But no this is still not resolved. You get 1 chance to make a 1st impression. You have blown your chance. I will never buy a another part from ss396 ground with your name on it.
Either they are trying to sale parts they don't have in stock or they don't want to honor the promotion they are trying to give on free shipping. I bought a chevelle rear deck repair panel last night with free shipping. Nothing about none in stock. This morning I get a email, none in stock. Now it says this item is not eligible for discounting and free shipping. That was not on there yesterday. This thing is freight shipping is probably 200.00. What a rip off.

I ordered a simple fuel filter from them that is 3 inches long and weighs nothing. They charged 17.69 for shipping and then sent it UPS ground which would not arrive for over 2 weeks. They could have shipped it priority mail for 5.00 or less and I could have had it in 3 days. Their customer service is garbage. They tried to say that they have overhead to pay for to which I said " your invoice says "Shipping" it does not say shipping and handling and processing etc... your invoice states the exact cost of shipping and it is a ripoff. Do not buy from this company... if you have any issue at all they will not help you. You have been warned.
Good experience, I would definitely order from SS396.com again.The part arrived on time. I did have to cut the dash panel as it lacks the lip on the front for the dash bezel on my 69 Nova but that was expected for a "multi" vehicle/year model dash panel.
I ordered multiple items which arrived as schedule and seem to be of good quality. A few items were back ordered but were expected in two days. I have not been notified if the items are available yet or if they will be sent once they are available

We're sorry to hear that your refund took so long to process and want to provide some additional information on why this was the case. The main issue was that this item shipped directly from our supplier and, unfortunately, was damaged during transit. When anything gets damaged in transit, a damage claim gets opened with the shipping company and they investigate and credit the company accordingly. Since your order was processed entirely through our supplier they are the ones who have to open the claim with their shipping provider and issue us a credit, which we then pass on to you. This is where the held up happened as it took longer than expected for our supplier to credit us for this incident. As you now know, as soon as we received the credit from our supplier, we issued you a full refund for the damaged product. I've been in a battle for close to three months over a complete interior kit. Was not told that the door panels were on backorder. When I wrote them about them of course they said. We sent you an email stating this. I never received the email then I was told they should be in in a week or so and they would send them out directly. That was six weeks ago still have not received them being told they'll be in around June 16th 2021 I had a deadline to deliver this car on June 1st that's why I ordered the kit in February will never buy from this company again. I would rather pay more and be sure to get the items then to order the items and not get them! They are still showing in stock. Until you order them and then they allegedly send you an email and tell you that they are back orders whilst keeping your money I'm still waiting on a refund for the door panels for 2 weeks
I bought a headliner for my 1965 Nova. The headliner was cut completely wrong! It was obviously for another vehicle, not even close to fitting. They refused to refund my money! They said it was returned un sellable! I folded it nicely, and put it back in the box it came in! Vary rude customer support staff! I'll never recommend this place to anyone! BEWARE!

Sorry, you didn't have a great experience with us, this said the condition of the returned product directly violates our returns policy, "As long as the product is not modified, altered, painted, installed, damaged, or disassembled from the original shipping condition you can send it back within 30-days of receipt for a full refund, credit, or exchange." In this instance, while the headliner was nicely folded in the original packaging, after inspection, it was clearly attempted to be installed as there was adhesive residue left all over the backing and the front had visible markings and stains from installation attempts. In addition, we have sent you numerous pictures via email outlining the extent of the damage along with options on how you'd like to proceed that adhere to our company's policies.

Don't recommend this website. I tried cancelling part of an order because I had found a better price. They said it was too late even though it had not shipped yet, and said to just refuse the order when it arrived. Problem is I was not going to be home when it was scheduled to arrive, So I didn't order the other parts. When I did receive the part they were NOT what I was looking for. They were the exact item I already had on my car. When I called to tell them they had sent the wrong item, they told me they did not sell the item I was looking for. Unbelievable! Now they have given me the option to ship back the items at my cost. Already paid $40 for shipping them to me and they expect me to pay another $40 to send back a $100 order. Ridiculous Never again! They really need to work on their shipping costs and return policies especially when it's their fault.
One excuse after another. I followed the return requirements to the letter but always a new issue. The returns employee is not customer oriented and takes a week to return a mail. She did not know where in the facility the returns were. What a dump.
I cancelled my online purchase after not hearing anything about delivery. Ground Up motors sent me a cancellation notice on a certain date...waited over a week and still no credit. I called again about the refund.they then stated that they made the cancellation on a later date...waited over a week and still no refund. Called my bank to investigate a fraud claim...suddenly my credit appeared.
I placed an order on a Friday afternoon of just over $1100. On Monday afternoon when I had not received any order confirmation, I reached out. I was told they had sent an email that morning. When I said I had not received an email in any email box, I was told it should be coming. Tuesday morning, after calling, I was told that one item in my order would be $550 to ship. I expected freight shipping but not that much. Also, my order without this item qualified for free shipping so they moved it all to a separate order. When she was finished she asked for my card number. My credit card had already been charged for the entire order and actually posted not pending as she was trying to say it should be because the order was still pending on their end. I told her I would call back after I called my credit card company, which they confirmed the charge was not pending, it had actually been charged to my account already. I called her again and asked to just cancel my complete order and we would see if it would automatically refund to my card, I asked for an order cancellation confirmation. I received it, but only for the new order number of some of my parts. I called back, gave her the first order number and asked for a cancellation confirmation email. When I received it, the order number did not match anything! I called AGAIN and was told it was the order number for the freight item and that when you order online, print your order confirmation with an order number, they then enter it in a different system and the order number CHANGES! WHAT? This kind of thing has never happened to me with any order. EVER. So I do not know how ss396 does business or how they do any business with this kind of operation but holy hell, I will never order from here again!

We are trying our absolute best to keep all our customers as current as possible, but this is difficult due to the scarcity of products at our vendor's warehouses and their inability to source, manufacture, and deliver products in a timely fashion.
When requested, we did provide information that was available, directly from the manufacturer, including once in June, twice in July, once in August, and twice in September.
On 9/11, we initiated a full refund for the products and shipping charges, per your request. Although the refund was initiated on our end, it may take 7-10 days for the card issuer to apply those funds to your account.

I ordered a brake conversion kit, along with some smaller items(key, ignition etc) on June 8th... I was told 10 days later that I had to wait another 14 days for them to send the products. I called after the waiting period and was told the item is now on back order and it will be sent out on July 14th. I could have spent my money somewhere else and got it a whole lot quicker. I definitely will not spend another dime with Ground Up... NO this product wasn't covered under free shipping, nor did they offer any incentive for the hassle.
I was initially frustrated with my experience because my order wasn't shipping, so I called customer service and asked about my order status and was then informed that my order couldn't be shipped until I verified my information, address, etc. Doesn't make much sense to me that I was not informed of the situation before I even called. I feel as though I should've been contacted by email or phone in regards to the situation. However, when I called the lady I spoke to was very helpful and got the situation figured out for me.
Supposed to be a ss dash conversion KIT. There is no guage lense for the conversion and nothing indicating my malibu center vents won't work. The kit is incomplete and expensive. Now I have to spend another 250 dollars to install my conversion kit.
I have ordered several parts over the past 2 years for 2 - 69 Camaros I have. I am currently building a prostreet Camaro and ordered new front signal assembly's. I was installing them and noticed the lens and bulb color was different between the pair. I called customer service and they said they will not replace them because I ordered them in May 2023 and it was August 2023 when I was installing them.

It even goes into detail in the part notes how colored products are special order items and non-returnable. This said, we offered to accept the item back and offered you a full refund for the door panels you miss ordered, to which you refused.
