The best Chevelle restoration parts site period. Can't say enough about the customer service. As an example I was building my own cowl hood setup. I needed some measurements for the seal to go on the adapter I was fabricating. A staff member I called took some measurements for me and I was able to make it work. Of course I purchased the seal from Ground Up. Awesome people to work with.
Prices were really good and it shipped really fast. The quality of the products was excellent and the packaging was good. The one drawback to it was when I ordered it showed everything in stock and the next day it shipped with two of the items on back order. I'd rather have seen them as out of stock. This is why 4 out of 5 stars
They did not have the correct harness they gave me an hour I'm number to ship it back I paid for shipping to get it then they wanted me to pay shipping back which cost more than the harness itself I asked for a return label they said no you paid to send it back to us we just had a meeting with the car club we will not do business with this company they are not reasonable their mistake why are we paying
Got part of my order then was told the other part was going to be drop shipped from the manufacturer. Now I find out it had the wrong zip code and it's now taking a ride around the country maybe some day it will get here. The 7th will be a month since I made my order.
Ordered a front rotor and brake kit for 70-78 Camaro. Calipers are on back order The rotors were sent in a timely manner but was sent rear rotors instead of front rotors. I can see how this mistake could have happened. Part #,s are similar. Front rotor #BR03ZDC...Rear rotor #BR30ZDC... Will up date experience rate when issue is resolved

I ordered package shelf fir 1966 chevelle. Did not come even close to fitting. I can't return it because I covered it to match the new interior. O could check fit because the car is at at different location. I wa assuming SS396 would not make a mistake like that on some so simple.so now wth shipping and cost to replace fabric and travel time I'm out for over 100 bucks on $12 dollar item. Not happy with them.
I ordered a oil fill tube that is. 010" smaller than the hole in my intake. Now they tell me I have to pay for the shipping. Dan didn't want to hear about my displeasure and hung up on me. I had to remove my old tube and now I'm stuck until I find another from a vendor. With high shipping cost they should send return label but they're too cheap. The parts are both low quality and made in Taiwan. I own a well respected service business with thousands of customers so can recommend with confidence SS396 is not a good customer service company and you should spend your money elsewhere.
As I am packaged my $500 seatbelts out of the box the center push button emblem is not even in position where it should be. They are stuck in all different directions and places on the seatbelt, terrible quality control. How are we going to resolve this issue and make it right.?
I purchased the complete interior for a 63 nova website says it's in stock. Spent over 1100$ then the next day I receive an email saying the rear seat cover in the kit is on back order, ok I guess I'll wait for a while and it will show up. WRONG. I have sent an email to their customer service every month for the last 8 months. I get told the same thing every time it will be another month. Now they have a seat cover in their inventory that would work but they want me to pay the difference, you would think they would work with me after I have waited 8 months. You would be wrong. Kim in customer service is kinda rude!
I've made several orders with them with over $8000 spent. I'm missing parts and have duplicate of some parts. They were great to deal with but due to there three day policy it doesn't help you when you need to put your car together. I won't be doing business with them any longer. All I wanted is what I ordered, I Offered to send back the duplicate parts. I sent pictures of what I got and was told that is what there policy is.
Received a SPAM email from these morons today. Never done business with them before, never even heard of them before. I am not even a muscle car enthusiast or owner!
If anyone from this company sees this review, know this: I have reported you to your email provider/network host. I will also be reporting this unethical marketing behavior on as many web sites as I can find!

Spent a ton of money with these guys on 2 complete ground up restorations. Orders missing items only to find out that they supposedly drop shipped them when in reality they hadn't even processed the drop ship order. Instead of resolving the mistake they could have expedited the shipment but didn't. Just found that many of the parts I bought can be sourced at other places much cheaper... sorry ss396.com... you've lost my business and I spend thousands $$$.

Save your time and money and go elsewhere, The last few times we have reached out for parts either have been treated with rude answers or poor customer service. We were delivered the wrong part even sent an email cancelling the order when the error was identified they continued to send the parts to us. We received them and called immediately and told we would have to pay shipping and mind you we have spent thousands of dollars over the years here as a resto shop. Well needless to say we will continue to go elsewhere until they can improve their customer service.
If you've restored a car before- you know you need a lot of parts and sometimes you'll order the wrong thing, or not need something.
At first the company was great to deal with- I ended up spending close to $3000 usd on parts, until we ran into a problem with a part that wasn't as advertised, and they stopped responding to emails and phone calls. Very frustrating!
With help from Matt, had my order sorted out. Placed my order Wednesday night and it arrived that Saturday. I didn't expect it till Monday. I thought it was cool they allowed Saturday delivery on a ground order.
