I have a spectrum account for all three services in a resort area because they are the only option. I got a postcard in the mail offering a seasonal plan that allows me to save on the monthly charge when on one is using the house. Clearly stated, the fee drops to $19.99/mo to keep phone service and the same number, my email address and "keep the most popular local channels including NBC... However, when I called, there is an extra $9.95 for local channel access? I got nothing but a repeat of that phrase when I questioned why this extra charge was not listed on the offer. Really bad customer relations.
Use someone local if you can where ever you are. Spectrum is a bunch of crooks like many corporations. They keep raising their high prices and don't care about loyal customers but instead offer deals to new ones. Then you try to cancel service and get hung up on multiple times after talking to a stupid computer and then waiting on hold forever. Don't waste a penny on these people.
We have been running around in circles for weeks disputing a bill for services we never ordered. After months they finally sent a technician to our home and it took him 2 1/2 hours to fix multiple problems with our service. Their system kept ordering services that we never ordered! They won't give us a credit either! I am going to cancel my services and find another provider. They are the worst cable TV company ever. They would rather a customer leave than give them credit for something they never ordered -- that's the most foolish business model I've ever heard of!
I've had to call Spectrum many times since the virus lock down has begun. I've waited on the phone for 30-40 minutes each time... what a poor service - why don't you hire more people there are people that are working from home and student trying to do homework. Also wifi has been turning completely off every single day and all the workers say is to plug off the cable for about a min or switch the box to a new one (mind you this was many times and before the corona virus begun). I am paying to much for bad service!

I'm sure most of you don't know it but Spectrum does not pro-rate so if you have service for even one day of the month they will charge you for the entire month. I have been a loyal customer of Time Warner Cable and then Spectrum for years and still ended up getting ripped off. I even called the month before asking what we needed to do to cancel and they never mentioned that they don't pro-rate and that if we didn't cancel it prior to the end of the term we'd owe the entire monthly amount for a few days service plus we were given incorrect information to cancel. They are charging us the entire $242.55 for four days service. I don't care what their policy is, they are ripping people off and I will never have Spectrum again!
Goes out at least ONCE every day. It often causes me to lose my hard work for school and ends up getting me in trouble being unable to turn $#*! in on time. Worst $#*!ing WiFi I've ever used. Actual $#*!. Don't get spectrum WiFi.
If you have the chance to get any other internet service provider, DO IT. Spectrum employees will lie to you, none of them really have any idea of whats going on or how to service/ help you. Spectrum will raise your bill without letting you know, until you notice on a bank statement. They charged another one of my family members for "not returning the router" when in fact they did. This company is very deceitful and I would never recommend them to anyone. Please if you have the chance, go somewhere else with your business so we can get rid of this god awful company once and for all.
Both set top box remotes failed with multiple bad keys. I called support and after wasting 5 minutes getting through the menu tree and automated feedback I finally speak to a human. Deb says she can mail the remotes "right away" and takes all my information again. Two weeks later... nothing. I have had to call back and discover nothing was placed in my account notes and thus nothing was ever sent!
Spectrum does not deserve the one star I had to give it in order to review them! They raise rates without notice, their service cuts out frequently; we have had over 6 service calls in less than 1.0 year --- and so have others in our neighborhood! When you call you are stuck on hold for over 15 minutes just to get an actual person. Then the person you talk to tells you there is nothing they can do about their worthless service and increasing rates. Do NOT ever go with Spectrum cable. They Suck right up there with Direct TV!
Worst customer service. I am going in today to cancel my TV, Internet, cell phone plans. Was on the phone for over an hour. Got disconnected called again. Was trying to activate my Apple Watch. No No one knew what they were doing. Kept switching me to different departments.
Find a competitor in your area, they are out there. By far the absolute worst service and customer service known. I have never in my life experienced awful customer service as I have from spectrum. Switching mobile and internet services come this Friday. I'll be damned if they get another penny from me. I'll also tell everyone I know and post it every where I possibly can. Train your employees. Not one of them know their policy's. It's ridiculous how this company scams millions out of people and are not held accountable for their employees mistakes.
Spectrum work when they want to. How can you pay your bill, then all of a sudden there is an so called "power outage" in your area. If the rating starting with zero that would be my rating for them. Sorry company! Sorry service! Especially when you work from home! You can't count on them not to lose any money!
I am currently attempting to cancel service for my deceased parents. Nearly impossible! Seems that because I'm not an "authorized user", they won't let me cancel. The "authorized users" of the account are DEAD! I've already turned in the equipment.
I have had an ongoing issue of Specttum charging me after I shut down my service, turned in all my equipment and paid my final bill. I've had to call 6 times to resolve the issue. I was on hold for over 58 minutes on my first initial call. After the 5th time of calling I was a little irritated and the "Supervisor " told me I didn't want to make her upset! Really! Girl don't scare me or threaten me! Dealing with this company is great when hooking up services but when it comes to shutting it down they are a night. Watch your e-mail, bank accounts and credit reports because they'll snag you if you don't stay on top of them!
We were without service (or it went on and off at Will) for ten days! The « customer service « ppl I got were liars and completely ignorant about if and when service would be restored. We pay $85/month. Outrageous for their substandard service and nearly illiterate employees. I was told we'd get a credit for days w/out service. I was also told I'd get a one time courtesy credit for all the inconvenience. So…. These cheap jerks added the one time courtesy credit to days I had no service. I am getting q whopping total of $28! Wow. Off my $85. Third of the month /no service or barely. There are other companies. Go elsewhere. Do not give these crooks your business unless you want spotty overpriced service from an insolent indifferent poorly educated "service providers ".
I have read many similar complaints to mine about channels not being available. But, the "try later" message comes up on a regular basis when trying to access "On Demand," too! And, it's especially irksome, the way they fail to give remotely accurate dates and genres for movies. I'm constantly having to look stuff on online, which so bizarre and insulting for a paying customer to have to do!
After my initial plan expired my bill increased by $90. I tried to relay my concern and that no other services are available in my area, nothing changed. I asked for a supervisor which took 10 minutes on hold and she could offer no help. This monopoly is horrible and tv should not have this kind of costs. My bill is now $280. You have to get package A to get Package b. I don't need all of it Ridiculous and very rude customer service! Trying to get some alternative at this point. Cable rage!
I had internet with streaming installed Tuesday 31 afternoon I had to had my daughter set it up yesterday on Saturday after working a 12 shift at the hospital. I still haven't been able to watch local channels. Customer service was no help that emailed me instructions that were for someone that new how to download.
If your stuck like me between this and AT&T basic, I almost just want to go back to AT&T so as not to have to deal with spectrum. Somehow my internet plan got removed from my account when I called in to get instructions for returning a cable box. Spent two hours on the phone and chat trying to get this figured out. Was just sent to department after department of people saying they can't do this on their end. Can't wait for fiber!
Spectrum moved the funds from the current A account that I was still using. This is not what they were supposed to do.
Spectrum's customer service and management is appalling. I am begging that the legislature invites an alternate internet and cable company to come to.the Pee Dee area. I can not fathom to continue doing business with this company. It's disheartening at the level of incompetence and nonchalant. Spectrum refused to reconnect my service or offer any compensation for the misunderstanding. Why would I want them to put the current in a disconnected state?
Answer: They do not care about customer retention. That being said. I have to believe it is the poorest business model I have ever come in contact with.

Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
