The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to poor customer service and escalating costs. While some users acknowledge stable service performance at times, many express frustration with frequent outages, billing inconsistencies, and unresponsive support. Common complaints include difficulties in service cancellations, lack of transparency regarding equipment ownership, and inadequate resolution of issues. The sentiment is largely negative, with customers feeling undervalued and misled. This feedback indicates a pressing need for the company to improve its customer service practices and address billing transparency to enhance customer satisfaction.

Spectrum has the most expensive and unreasonable pricing. Worst customer Services. Rather go with AT&T or others.
How totally crummy. You advertise the new EMMA at home on demand this weekend. We hoped to watch it but you are charging $19.99! With hours cut due to Covid19 and lost pay, we sure can't afford that, and I bet a lot of others can't either. If you really cared about your customers and the fact that this virus is causing a lot of misery and hardship you would have charged a nominal $2.99. It would have helped many of us maybe get away from our troubles for a couple hours watching something good. Thumbs down to you.
Do not work for this place! It's a Petri Dish, and the reason there will be a huge virus outbreak in Clark County WA. They say they care, but they really don't. It's all smoke and mirrors. The reason the Call Center isn't in the area that Spectrum services, is because no one would work for them, and angry customers would be at the office door. They know not to "#sh-*t$" where they sleep. They will hire ANYONE!... oh, but you're special :) Every call is about how horrible the products and services are. Every call is an angry customer that Spectrum allows to use racial and sexiest slurs against it's Billing Agents. As long as the customer pays, that's all that matters to them. Of course, they try to convince you of otherwise. Spectrum gouges, and prays on seniors and the poor, by making pricing and billing as confusing as possible. Not to mention slowly increasing the bill or adding products, like a land-line, that the customer never ordered. They offer a IVR system, by which the customer is supposed to be able to make payments for free. However, it never works, and the customer is instantly transferred to an agent, where the payment can be made for a $5.00 fee. I was paid $15/hr, but Spectrum made twice that, an hour, on payment fees. This place is Garbage! They terminated me because I refused to work in their petri dish. I was told they constantly wipe down common surfaces. However, the virus is spread by aerosol, and in a Call Center, aerosol is constantly being created. They roll out the red carpet when you interview, but at the end of that red carpet, is a big kick in the REAR END. Stay clear! I'm putting together a group to picket this place. You must have a hazmat suit, goggles, and a v1 face mask. I'll provide the signs. Lets get this crap out of our community. I'll be in front at every hiring event. I have to give them a star, in order to post this. SMFH
Spectrum signed a contract that I would have the same price for the internet and tv bundle for three years. That last THIRTY DAYs! I have had Spectrum barely a year and AGAIN they are trying to raise my price. Why- they said for federal internet tax only they were taxef. Really! What ever happened to integrity Spectrum?
Just horrible! I was kept on the phone numerous times to correct an error they had made. Really, passed from one person to another for two hours. This kept happening. I really couldn't help but losing my temper at their ABSOLUTE incompetence!
I've had Spectrum for almost 1.5 years, always paid early/on time. A few weeks ago, I decided to upgrade from the 400mbps Ultra plan to the gig plan. Easy, right? Keep in mind, all of the story below happens in the span of 6 days...
Tech 1 comes out on a Saturday morning (8am) and he's in and out in 45 minutes. He provides a "new" router and says to give it until midnight before the speeds kick in. I thought that was weird, but okay.
By Sunday at 9pm, I have slower speeds than I had before the upgrade. Call Tech Support, and Tech 2 comes out on Tuesday. The tech checks EVERYTHING-- the tap, the box at my house, the lines... 3 hours later, still same speed.
Call tech support again and she sees a lot of variance in the decibels in my line... definitely not right, so she sends Tech 3 out to my house. Another 3 hours... keep in mind I'm missing work during these visits.
The final conclusion is the Tech 1 gave me a refurb router. The router wasn't pushing 1 gig signal direct connect to the router, it was barely pushing 400mbps-500mbps. Tech 3 replaced the router, now all is fine.
I called customer service to get the $199 install fee waived as compensation for 3 visits, and 7 hours of my time (far cheaper than paying me for the hours lost at work), and after 3 calls, 2 supervisors, and an escalation by the "Retention" Dept management, the rep was ready to let me cancel my service after they denied my refund request. I'll spell it out... this company was willing to let a loyal customer who is now paying $105/mo. Walk away over a $199 fee because they do not understand what customer service is.
You know the saddest part? EVERYONE I spoke with --- install techs, tech support, reps on the phone --- they were all very nice. It was the management that let me down. So, take this experience for what it is, and AVOID this company. Go with AT&T.
Thanks,
I have been using spectrum for about a year and got "sold" on great service, price, and internet speed. With in the first six months the price increased about $20.00, the speed dropped more than 2/3, and in trying to resolve my issues with customer service it was insulting! All that they gave me was excuses, firm denials, and no ability to resolve the issues in any way especially a price reduction. I have had their service about 10 years ago under TWC and had similar problems. Different name same old problems. Absolute lack of customer value and respect. Shame on me for giving them a second chance. I will be cancelling my service with Spectrum never willing to return under any circumstances, and will not recommend their products or services to anyone. The thing this company does not understand is creative advertising and great sales people will never overcome the negative word of mouth that is shared on these sites and in conversational referrals! Shame on you Spectrum!
I am still trying to calm down after a full day of being on the phone, being transferred, waiting, talking to obviously under paid get what you pay for customer service jerks. I called to downsize my service, starting 3 days prior to this one. The rep was so nasty she just cut all my service off right then and there. Wow the set this woman must be sporting, to believe that she was the most powerful person in the world. We had spoken at length about my options and I thought we understood each other perfectly- but no she had to pull them out, so that I would have to call back and explain and get transferred and wait another 1 1/2 hours for the service I was paying for, on the phone, now I'm still having issues and they want me to resign up again, it's been a continuous battle
Early last August, Spectrum mobile sent me a phone that I did not order, and apparently they used the credit card illegally from my main Spectrum account. I waited a few days before I asked to send the cellphone back, and I thought that I had two days left for my return. However, their rep told me the return window began when it was mailed. In other words, they are a shameless scam, and I plan to file in small claims court to get back the $516+ they charged me the cellphon. They also tricked my wife into getting onto Spectrum without her knowledge, at a charge of $45 per month, and she has had Verizon wireless telephone service for many years. Just one more note, I called the real Spectum cable and wireless and they told me that Spec. Mobile was a rogue company just using the Spectrum name. The employees at Spectrum Moble should all be arrested for fraud.
-5 stars review. Lies, deceit, bad business practices, they have lots of lawyers... and they scam people by pushing aggressive sales tactics... understaffed retail locations with no phone # listed for retail, and retail employees tell all sorts of lies or they just dont get training... all departments have major disconnect and convoluted issues that pass the buck all over with no clear resolutions. Moral is at ultimate low with agents, and everyone hates their job because the customers are made out to be annoying, stupid, and not worthy since they cant read the minds of the under trained employees of Spectrum Mobile.
Today i called Spectrum to try to lower my monthly bill, as I have a bundle through them for myself and my mothers appt. When I first opened my account I was paying $198/mo and for my mother $135/mo. They after the first year increased my monthly to $246/mo bundle ( internet/Cable/Phone) and $199/mo for my mother (internet/Cable/Phone). For years, i have had the bundle reset, will this time apparently they couldnt do it, they could only adjust the bill for a lousey $20/mo and gave me ways to use ROKU and other means to stream without boxes to lower my bill even lower, but with out boxes I can DVR my favorite shows. They finally figured that was not a good option. So then I get transfered to retention specialist, who asked me the same questions as the first person, her name was Erica from austin, tx and she was worthless and was reading from a script and didnt deviate from what she was taught and made no attempt to solve any of my requests. MInd you I have been a customer for 20 years. I then get transfered to a supervisor of customer retention and her name was Temmeka from austin, tx who was also worthless and asked me for the third time the same questions as before. We are now one hour and twenty minutes into the call and nothing. I just wanted my bill adjusted down another $15 and they told me they could not and th same for my mothers account. So for a lousey $30, they did not rentain me. I unfortunately cancelled all my accounts and moved to AT&T Universe. To top it off the superviosr disconnected two my main boxes in my house. That was a tactic to make me more upset and she should be fired from her job because she did nothing to solve my requests, which were very reasonable. I now am back on a call with them to solve this. Erica and Temmeka have no business working in the customer service field because they have no focus or empathy to retain customers but to make money for a company that is obivously putting profit over their dedicated customers. LEAVE SPECTRUM!
There is not enough space for me to write what is wrong with this place. So many things. It has been lie after lie.
I dont appreciate a customer service agent telling and being rude on the phone about a bill or payment.
Internet got cut many times! Bad service! Before we were with Verizon and our internet never got cut... we are going back to Verizon again
I have Spectrum for my phone, internet and TV. I have no problem with the internet, but when it rains our phone pops and cracks to the point where it can't be used.
The TV on the other hand isn't worth a dime! It is contently scrambling, the remote doesn't work right, it takes forever to do anything. I have had service tech's here more times than I have toes, and it still isn't right. They had the gull to raise my monthly payment $30.00. It is the most disgusting service that I've ever experienced. If I were able, I'd not given the rating a one star. So if this helps anyone in deciding they are going to pay for a junkie TV service, I hope it helps.
Spectrum provides the worst service of any company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Their low price suckers you in and then you realize why they are cheaper than the real internet/phone providers. We have had more outages in the last two weeks than we had with Southwestern Bell/ATT in 57 years combined. I wish I was exaggerating. If you need reliable internet or phone service pick any provider except Spectrum. They are constantly getting cancelations so they re-use the same equipment and then lie about it. One of their managers even told me they only use new equipment until I showed him their box that was only supposed to be a couple weeks old. Then he had to admit it was obviously used and filthy. You might ask what a Spectrum manager was doing at my house a couple weeks after installation. He was there because the service people had been to the house 3 or 4 times in the first week of installation. The family room TV actually went down 2 3 hours after installation. This is the first review I have ever written in my entire life but I just had to warn everyone that all those one star ratings are there for a reason.
Worst customer service ever
Cable guide is very bad
Cable is going out a lot
Did I mention the customer service really is bad
The worst ever
They flat out suck and raise, raise, and raise your bill. I have no DVR no internet only a home land line with them, no premium channels and my bill just went up again it is now 150.68
After my initial plan expired my bill increased by $90. I tried to relay my concern and that no other services are available in my area, nothing changed. I asked for a supervisor which took 10 minutes on hold and she could offer no help. This monopoly is horrible and tv should not have this kind of costs. My bill is now $280. You have to get package A to get Package b. I don't need all of it Ridiculous and very rude customer service! Trying to get some alternative at this point. Cable rage!
Worst company ever, cancelled my cable and home phone 4 days after the billing cycle. Only kept the internet which is $74.99, and they are still trying to charge me a whole month with all 3 services.
Answer: They do not care about customer retention. That being said. I have to believe it is the poorest business model I have ever come in contact with.
Answer: They could give a shit - they create a monopoly in the area and do whatever they want - raise the rate, intimidate, and are very rude and no help to customers!
Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
