Internet and tv app stink. Slow, buffers, fuzzy picture, poor quality, dropped calls, long hold times, unknowledgeable agents and techs, overpriced, sell packages not delivered or made right, can't fix anything, goes out constantly, and terrible customer service. Use someone else.
They turn their phones off when there is an outage. They will not comp customers due to their own tech problems. I hope these guys along with any other tv/internet providers actually find a big black hole and fall in for ever. Especially the executives who take millions of dollars a year for doing basically nothing to improve the quality of service. Go to hell you f***ing bas**rdsd.
Lousy service. Always having outage. If they pay me every time we have an outage I will be a million. Don't promise 200 mbps give 50 consistently. If you can provide service return our money close it shop and run away.
We recently debated a limited streaming experience after having 'cut the cord' a few years again. I had internet at 50 Mps and we used the Roku free stuff and the occasional limited use of Sling and HBO to binge watch shows and then cut again.
We were told that the 10 channels and use of others, as well as 2200 movies, were $21.99 with "Absolutely no additional fees". We received a bill 3 days later that contained a "Surcharge" of $10.99 for having changed internet choices mid-month (Yes! "read your fine print" I was told), the package was $24.99" - Well there IS a $3.00 "surcharge" for streaming shows, but it isn't a fee, it's a 'surcharge'. Additional 'add-on' taxes of $2.99 and finally, my "internet charge was bumped from $54.99 to $64.99 because I "Chose to stream TV". Love the verbiage. I cut the entire cord this time. No more Charter Spectrum (Speculum). You'd think they'd learn what we DO NOT WANT. #LeaveCharter
Spectrum has the absolute most horrific customer service! Their employees speak in a very condescending manner to you and they could care less if you do business with them or not. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!
Signed up for my mom in her eighties after rep saying the 100m internet will be free with federal ACP program yet the bill wasn't showing what we were told. Called and talked to many spectrum departments who spoke all different terms than what I heard when signing up. Feel like lured into it with the ad mail and the rep who didn't represent their pricing. Will disconnect soon after hours of wasted time.
I called time waned/spectrum to see what packages they offered cable only customers all these commercials claiming spectrum is so good what f... joke if you bundle yes but cable only that's_a joke they told me I'd drop from over 200 channels to 25 and my bio! Would be higher the don't care one bit about loyal customer. Thought time warner was bad spectrum is worse than they Re. Hope those money grabbing thieves of proud of All their lies
In order to reduce the cost of my excessive internet/cable bill Spectrum is forcing me to cancel service for 30 days, return all the equipment and then re sign up and re connect everything. Savings are major- but they will not help any other way. A second home we aren't at very often therefore it is quite inconvenient to do all this. I cannot believe that a company would penalize long term customers by making them go through this process. I need high speed reliable internet for work or i would go with someone else. This is a ridiculous way to serve customers.
They give you all of these cheap made boxes and remotes that don't work then charge you out rageous amount for service, I'm switching to someone else first of year. Customer service is not help, just keeps raising prices. If everyone dropped them all at once they would have to shape up or go under
You can't just change your name without changing your ways... Spectrum is no different than Time Warner Cable (just more expensive of course). We are constantly having issues with our service; I've never had to call customer service so many times when I lived elsewhere. The Spectrum app NEVER seems to work either and they tried to tell me it was an issue with my email HA! Good excuse. My email never fails and that doesn't even make sense. The price for basic cable and basic internet is outrageous! We've been begging for greenlight or VerizonFios to come our way for over a year!
I own a small shop and have had people working for Spectrum come into my shop at least 3 times now trying to sign me up with them. They are always pushy, rude and don't seem to hear me when I say "No thank you I am not interested in changing my service provider" They do not care about potential customers, they seem to only want to push their own agenda.
I am so unhappy with Spectrum and I am not even a customer, that should say it all.
They keep putting you on hold to try to wear you down enough to give up. Tech support isnt and retention services keeps upping the price for services provided by other providers at much less cost. A terrible company that obviously values new ( unsuspecting) customers more than existing customers.
Do not enroll in autopay. Twice the payment "didn't go through," so they charged me a $25 dollar fee. I called my bank and they said no attempt was made from Spectrum. They'll bill you random fees if you don't pay close attention. Terrible customer service as well. No one wanted to help and said it was policy to charge a $25 fee... even if it's their fault. Not to mention you pay a $5 a month fee for the router, which I'm sure I've paid off by now. They nickel and dime you anyway they can. And on top of that, the internet is not reliable. You have good days, but mostly bad.
Having made several attempts at SpeedChecks and Tech calls, I'm now one of Thousands of Pissed Consumers, paying for service which is unsatisfactory. Lies and more lies. Even though I was told a service tech would attend to my inconsistent broadband issues.

So here goes had a line that was suspended back in Oct. No notification that I could not do indefinite then got a bill that went up cause they turned it back on. Got it suspended again but everyone knows life gets busy these people from Jan 12-feb 8 making me pay40.65 and then from feb 9 till march 8 29.99. This is just for one line and only service. Every month they get almost 500.00 from me but would not budge on this 70.00 crazy even threaten me that if not paid all my lines would be terminated. So now on to the upper hands to email them their poor customer service.
Spectrum dropped the ball with Disney. Gave it a week. Missed opening season game and many other games since then. Not getting the channels we are being billed for. Tried to cancel and they have made it near impossible. On hold for an hour and a half tonight with no answer. What is this the IRS? Since it is the only cancelation option they are giving at this point, they are trying to buy themselves more time by making it hard on people to make changes. Every department within Spectrum has been instructed to give you the same run around, they cant help only one select department can do it and you must stay on hold until they feel like answering. As a loyal customer for years this is unacceptable and I will NEVER go back to spectrum.
Spectrum update their menu for cable boxes and tv streaming over the internet. This update destroyed my DVR recording. Made setup harder. The apps don't work. Cannot select the channel you want to be on when the cable box is turn on. Destroyed my favorite list and to make a new favorites list is an impossible task and it really is very bad. Call tech support and they don't care and state they have not made any menu changes, which is a lie. Service is terrible. So, I cancelled my internet and phone service. Once I find a replacement for cable TV, I will cancel that service.
I really hate I had to give Spectrum the satisfaction of even one star! Terrible customer service, overpriced, and overrated! Time Warner genuinely cared for their customers. Spectrum is a corporate money making machine and could care less about the little guy. I am extremely disappointed and FINISHED with this disgusting corporate giant. Spectrum is unorganized, greedy and unwilling to honor their word. We are going with another provider, I never thought I would change providers, but I am truly over Soectrum's bullying. Please look around for another provider in your area, you'll see that it's worth the switch!
I have mistakenly used this company 3 tines in the past. Never again. Horrible equipment! Just antiquated! Each tv requires its own dvr?! Remote is terrible. Recording a show is completely frustrating. Worst of all there is no end to the charges they apply to your account. I was told endless times-AFTER I RETURNED ALL OF MY EQUIPMENT! -that my account was closed. The charges kept rolling in! I spoke with numerous company reps that told me "you shouldn't have been charged" "we will credit you" "your account is closed". Still more charges. And then I realized "oh yeah, they did this last time!" Please do not use this cable company! I cannot un-recommend them enough.
This is the only company I have encountered that does not give a $#*! if you are an unhappy customer! Every day our cable box has to be rebooted, same with internet modem! Now they totally shut off all our tvs, if you dont have a cable box or roku you cannot watch tv! I really wish everyone would stick together and drop cable, thats the only way to beat big companies like this! How in the hell are all you people shelling out 200.00-300.00 in cell phone bills and 100.00-200.00 for cable? Plus all your other bills? Cool if you can afford it, but why do you think its ok?! Cable was the only service I ever paid for that I had so many problems and could not even use the services I was paying for, but when you mention it to other people they are like... yea I have to reboot my equipment constantly too! Stop being sheep and following allowing with everyone else, stand up for yourselves and drop this $#*! cable company!
