Money grabbers
February 13, 2018

Since Spectrum has taken over Time Warner there has been nothing but rate increases. Now to watch my second TV in my bedroom, which I rarely watch, Ill have to pay another $11 a month for a cable box. No thanks. Im moving in a few months and switching to satellite.

I ordered spectrum again- biggest mistake of my life. They told me that 15 channels was $25, and then found out, there was an additional $22 charge for access to local broadcast channels. When I went to cancel the service,they would not pro-rate the charge. They are horrible scammers, and rip-off artists. The challenge is that all of the other companies are just as bad

If there was a negative star rating, I would give them a five. Bundled phone, internet and cable service to save money and each was equally disappointing. No doubt the worst service provider I have ever encountered. If you have another choice of providers, take it. Spectrum is the absolute worst hands down. Disgusting!

All of a sudden Im missing channels. It took 4 phone calls and a visit from a tech to tell me another company bought out the channels and that is why we no longer have them. No notice or phone call. Then they tell me my lines are in bad shape but they have to wait on county to approve repairs. Its all too sketchy and we are paying $200.00 per month

Seriously we had better connectivity with AOL back in the day. When it works it's decent, not good but decent. If I had done a better job researching this so called provider I would have reconsidered moving here. They and satellite are the only options. I made the cheaper but not more reliable choice.

As a business owner, avoid doing business with this company (if you can). Their marketing messaging and small print differ and their internet services are way over priced and typically overkill for SMBs. Not worth it.

Take a look at this picture and tell me why we have issues with service?
Worst customer service. Cable and internet in and out EVERYDAY.
They say they keep track and credit accordingly don't you honk so. Also have next to fastest internet and see pictures below for speed at computer hardwired not wireless.

They charge say to much for their internet service. It's better going with Frontier which that's what I'm doing this month.

The spectrum bozos want nearly 100 bucks a month for internet service.

Not worth it.

My mentally disabled son somehow was able to get past the block on our TV to order movies. He ran up over 300.00 worth of movies. I had a 100.00 limit on movies to be ordered on this account. They would only remove 45.00. Off of he bill. They have the technology to see that the movies were not being watched all the way through. Only a few minutes. They simply did not care. I absolutely abhor this company. I would give a zero if it was an option.

Horrible company

Absolutely horrible company. I moved and disconnected my service 15 days into the month and they charged an entire month. They stated is it somewhere in all of the junk they send you... not sure that is the case, but they get you every way they can.
I disconnected because my service kept going up in price. They work deals to get you but do nothing to keep you. I called and asked for specials and they lady would not even look into anything. She immediately stated, "we have nothing for you since your initial promotion has ended." Wow... I will NEVER get this service again!

I have been a Charter Spectrum customer for six years - internet only as I do not have cable tv. The price seems to go up $3 - $5 every few years, yet there is no difference in the service that I receive. The most recent $5 increase in labeled "WiFi Service". Well, gee I have had WiFi from the beginning, so why now? I called Spectrum and was told that the primary reason for this is increase is the pandemic and the increase in the number of service calls due to that. Really? Seems very much like price gouging to me and I said that, to no avail of course. I'm currently looking for a new provider. Any thoughts would be welcomed.

Upgrading my phone line from residential to business was a three week nightmare. Called every day for three weeks. Kept getting transferred from department to department. On the phone for five hours the second day after the modem was installed.

Finally in the third week I got an mature lady in Austin who helped. Before that I was transferred all over the country by a bunch of uncaring idiots with what must be airtight job security.

Spectrum SUCKS!
August 5, 2018

Over priced for what you get. Customer service is terrible. Went to online billing they send bill every two months and charge a late fee. After 3 times yes 3 times. So I went back to mailing. And now they don't recognize my email address either. My bill is do in 8 days still haven't got my bill. AT&T here I come!

PRICE KEEPS RISING
April 2, 2022

I have been a customer of the bundle [Internet, TV, phone] services for 10 years. The price has been rising steadily. Their promotions are for new customers. There are no incentives for loyalty. If they spent less on TV commercials, they could lower pricing for existing customers. I was on a call with them for an hour--one agent lowered my price but another agent said I am not eligible for the promotion. There is absolutely no transparency in pricing or product packages.

Do you ever wonder when talking to someone in customer service just exactly why they are this field? I just got off the phone with a Spectrum representative who was so smug and condescending I just had to ask her if she liked her job because she certainly didn't sound like she did. If that is the field you want to be in then learn how to talk to people. You have a job because of your customers.

Every channel that I scroll to is currently unavailable. Must be my fault (for using spectrum).
Email is worst then the time before the dinosaurs got wiped. I can't believe that some big shop boss gets paid for this s""t.

I have internet outages approximately once every two weeks for about 5 hours. About three months ago, I had an outage for two days. As I am in medical school, this disrupts my study schedule. When I called customer service, they said they refunded me for the one day without service (which is probably like 1 dollar). Gee, thanks for that... I have consistently used all my data for the month during these outages. I finally got so fed up with it the service outages that I switched providers and asked to be refunded for the weeks of service that I did not use. They don't even have the decency to do that. They clearly do not care at all about providing their customers with "reliable" service or ensuring customer satisfaction.

We were having wifi issues, spectrum sent out someone to work on the issue, they solved the technical issue and within 48 hours the same problem came back. There is no reason you should have to unplug then plug your system back up every 48 hours to have wifi connectivity.

Out of all the bills we all pay each money, Spectrum is by far the most frustrating. Prices are Outrageous, delusional, unsustainable. Customer service is the worst in industry. Dear spectrum we hate to pay you, and those who have not left already, will be. Do better.

Beware! Spectrum is huge in corruption!
They will send you equipment just by inquiring on the phone about their plan. They find your address from previous service, and they send you their equipment to try charged you for it. It's virtually impossible to cancel an order you didn't even request. This should be against the law!
