My contacts arrived quickly and they seem to be of good quality as expected. Fyi: I couldn't find another place that could even compete with the price I got my contacts for. Very reasonably priced and many promo codes out there to make the price even cheaper!
Several issues here:
- The lens are of cheap material that will not last long. This is a glass for 1-2 year, nothing more.
- The Swiss custom has automatically taxer the glasses as having a value of 150 Euros (the tax declaration that went with the glasses was funnily enough saying that the glasses were a gift, value 14 Euros, coming from Italy when the pack had been sent from Hong-Kong, with a value of 115 Euros and certainly not as a gift.
- DHL taxed me 34 Euros for the so called "tax service" they provided (advancing 2,34 Euros for the Swiss tax custom). A little bit expensive, is it not?
I received broken linses. It says in the description that the linses are comfortable for the eye. I could not have them I my eye for more than 10 seconds before my eyes were filed with tears and pain. Don't buy!

I ordered a pair of glasses that were in stock. Several days later I was contacted to confirm they were in stock?! I was then contact a few days after that to say that they are waiting on my prescription... Not True! I submitted my prescription when I ordered. I then received an email a few days after that and they told me that they are still waiting on my PD... Um, no, they weren't, that was clearly listed on the prescription that I originally submitted and again on the prescription that I resubmitted. Hey SmartBuyGlasses... These emails were clearly stall tactics. Instead of bothering your customer for information you already have, admit you are late and just give the customer a small discount or coupon... Do not waste their time with silly unnecessary requests! Ridiculous. They are clearly NOT going to be getting my glasses to me in the 5-10 days promised and they are clearly trying to make it out like it is my fault when it definitely is not.

I was tired of the prices of good sunglasses. Found this sight and thought I would try it. Looked on their website, found what I wanted, went to a sunglass shop and viewed the product and then ordered on line. They were half the price of the shop and the girl waiting on me said she could not believe that they could sell for that price. From the time I ordered till they came (on back order for over a month) but I was thrilled to get them. Perfect price, glasses and all the goodies that came with them. I did have to pay my countries taxes to the shipper Fedex that came as a surprise but I don't order a lot on line. So, be aware of that.

I ordered my glasses by my credit card. They told me they received the money. Then a few days later, I was told that my address was flagged as a cautionary flag. I was advised to supply extra evidences to demonstrate my address. I did what they asked. Then no response, I ask by e-mail again. They suggested me repaying the bill by Paypal, and they will refund my credit card in 1-2 days. However, after 5 days, I hadn't received my refunds, so I asked again, they replied the money will refund in next 2 days. I just doubt if I can believe them or not. I don't understand they actually received the payment, why they said my address was flagged as a risky place.
I ordered contacts from this company for the first and last time, I had my email conformatiom to say that they had my order, dated the 26th April and would update me within 3-5 days. I have so far had nothing back to give me an update as to what what happening with my order now the 4th May. Three phone calls later they have now told me that my order will take another 10 days to get sent out. This is a joke, other companies can send my contacts out the next day. I have now requested a refund, I wonder how long that will take!
I advise not to bother with this company as they don't seem that bothered about good customer service, just as long as they have your money sitting in their account.!

I ordered prescription sunglasses from SmartBuy. I was a little nervous. It was my first time ordering prescription glasses online. The people at SmartBuy were extremely helpful. They were prompt in their email replies, were eager to help, and did everything in their power to make sure my sunglasses arrived before I left for my trip. They were also there after I received my glasses to answer questions and to follow up on my experience. I love my glasses, and the service was great.
In general, I had a positive experience with smartbuyglasses. The specs did arrive a little later than I anticipated, but that was due to backorder issues (I guess it was a popular frame) and not due to the competence of the smartbuyglasses staff (I even contacted a different on-line retailer about the same frame, and they told me it was out-of-stock). I received frequent updates on the status of my order and was even granted a discount for the delay in my order. I would choose smartbuyglasses again and would recommend it to friends, as well.
Ordered pair of sunglasses exactly 1 month ago. I needed them for my vacation so ordered them on time. Website said it would take 3-5 days to confirm order (ok fine whatever that means). Next email, "Your item has been confirmed with the supplier and is estimated to be shipped by September 22nd" 2 days after I left for vacation. OK I like the sunglasses because I had same pair and would like them again, remember this is 3 weeks AFTER the order. On my trip, Another email with Weekly Update: "Your order is delayed by 5-9 Business days" Fantastic... Returned from my vacation... another email: "Order delayed for 5-9 business days". What a DISASTER! If you can't deliver don't put it on your website you scam people into buying your product but deliver nothing but air and emails telling me nothing... ITS BEEN (almost) 6 WEEKS and still nothing seriously?

I wanted a very unique pair of glasses that they had on their site. I emailed to ask if it was in stock before ordering and they said YES. I then waited two weeks and got an order update stating that it was out of stock and they were trying to find the frame from a distributer. Another 2 weeks and still no glasses. So I cancelled my order and got my money back. Since I did get my money back I can at least say they are reliable for refunds but they mislead you about what is in stock and what is not and how long it will take to get your glasses. Don't believe them if they say something is in stock.
I would also like to add that while the site says it is located in the USA, it does not list a phone number and if you want to talk to them you have to leave your number on their website and wait for a call back. The call I got was from China. There's nothing wrong with tha tbut I wish they were a bit more upfront about not being located in the USA.
I love Maui Jim glasses and shopped retail stores looking. On a whim, I decided to look on line to see if I could possibly get the glasses I wanted for less. On smartbuy I was able to get the same exact glasses for over $75 less than I would have paid at a store. Shipping was quick and I am thrilled!
Horrible customer service. Will never purchase anything from there again. Kept being told it was my fault, proved it wasn't and still was told I had to pay for shipping to return product and would not be refunded until product was received and error verified. Obviously that means once product received I would be told it that prescription was correct. Luckily my optometrist was kind enough to replace the lenses for free
The order arrived later than the expected date and the glasses was "out of shape" upon arrival and required a lot of adjustments before it was wearable. Overall a positive buying experience at smartglasses but was severely annoyed at how out of shape the product originally was

I ordered Lafont french sunglasses at less than half the price of retail; however, I ordered a pewter/silver color and instead received a gold/brown leopard-type print. I like the glasses but they were not the color I ordered. However, they arrived quickly, safely and were a great deal. Just be careful what you're ordering!

I recently bought a glasses and the delivery was really fast, but there was a little inconvenient with clearance, thus I wrote to costumer service and they gave me a prompt solution, amazingly three 3 later I could wear my glasses. Very satisfied with the quality and costumer service.
Purchased Maui Jim Kahuna Polarized-162-02 - size 59 sunglasses this year (2015) and they arrived right away. They were in the original factory box and in perfect condition. The price I payed was better than other prices I saw on line. I love the sunglasses and use them every day. I will use Smartbuy again.
Everything was good - the only weak point is, that you do not have support in Switzerland when you need to fix (install) the glasses properly. I always went to Fielmann and Visilab. Otherwise price-value is great - Delivering Time is good and the supplement gifts are nice.
I bought 2 packs of contact lenses. One box is from a other production series. The expire date allready in 2018 indicates, that it was verxy Long on stock. The other box is exp. Date until 2021 or so.
I hope the Quality inside is right.

I received the Michael Kors glasses (frames only) I ordered but was disappointed in the wait and with the additional international fees that were charged - I didn't realized these would be shipping directly from China. I placed my order on May 14 and they didn't ship until May 24th! I don't understand why it took so long when I was ordering frames only. I'm pleased with the product but not sure I'll order from Smartbuy again.

Eyes are precious and irreplaceable, so it is highly recommended to have an eye test at least every 2 years to be sure of your own prescription.
