WARNING - DO NOT TRUST SMARTBUY GLASSES! I emailed them twice to confirm if they have a pair of glasses I want. They confirmed that they have it in stock and that it was not on back order (I even have the emails for proof). I purchased the glasses and 2 days later I noticed that I did not receive a tracking number. I checked and they did not even process the order. I called them and they said they don't have the product in stock. They told me they need to go out to one of their Italian distributors in Italy to get the glasses. I had to call my credit card company and stop payment.
If they were a legitimate company they would of been honest and told me they didn't have the glasses in stock. However they want you to pay for it first and then they'll go look for the glasses. BTW - you're payments are made to somewhere in the United Kingdom.
I read some other reviews that were less then complimentary for Smartbuyglasses.com. I was concerned as I had already ordered some D&G sunglasses. The price with coupon and free shipping was better than local stores(and I did not have to go to the mall!). I was charged on 7/29 for the order and received the glasses (as ordered) on 8/13. This may be longer than some shopping websites, but not nearly as bad as some of the other reviews for this website. I'm a happy shopper on Smartbuyglasses.com.

It's been over two months now and I still haven't received my glasses from these people. I read all the reviews at how horrible the company was but thought for as much money as I was saving it would be worth the wait. Wrong! They are now telling me my order will be delayed another 3 weeks. For a total of 3 months of waiting. If they arrive at all. They are placing all the blame on the manufacture stating that they aren't shipping them their orders and that they are no longer selling Oakley or Oliver People because of the delays. Worst online business out there!

It's been 35 days since I've placed my order on Smartbuyglasses.co.nz and amount removed from my VISA debit card, so far I've received 4 emails one after each week for 4 consecutive weeks starting with "I'm regret to inform you a further delay…. Blah blah blah", and this week they are totally ignoring my email. Yes they offer a refund shall I request it, but what about the 1 month waiting for their non-existing glasses from their non-existing supplier? Still waiting, worst website you can possibly find.

Horrendous web store. If you want sunglasses from here, expect to wait AT LEAST 20 days (that's business days, as in 4 WEEKS).
They have NOTHING in stock in the US, which is totally not disclosed on their website, which states delivery in 5-11 days.
It is week 4 now, and I still do not have my sunglasses. They keep telling me "it's on the way, it's on the way" but that was what they said since day 1.
Will NEVER shop here again. They lure you in with savings, and DO NOT deliver.
So listen to your intuition, and stay away! I'd rather pay a bit more and actually GET the product that I ordered, as opposed to calling & hearing excuses every few days about why the sunglasses you paid good money for are nowhere to be found.
Even if these sunglasses DO finally come (which they'd better), there's no way their business model even works (hmm let's see: buyer buys a pair of sunglasses -> 4+ WEEKS WAIT -> delivery)
On February 11,2010, I ordered Smith sunglasses and Oliver Peoples prescription glasses. On February 18th, I received an email informing me that the Smith glasses were not available and suggested that I choose another model from the list of "in stock" items on the Smart Buy Glasses website. I chose Persol sunglasses. I was sent a bill from SBG Optical Group to cover the increased cost of the Persol sunglasses. I paid the bill for $101 via Paypal.
I received an email issuing a refund for the original Smith sunglasses order on April 26,2010, although I never received an email informing me that the order bad been cancelled. I've sent several emails to the customer service department asking for a refund for the extra I paid to substitute the Persol sunglasses for the Smith, but I've received absolutely no response. I attempted to file a complaint with Paypal, but Paypal only allows the consumer 45 days to file a complaint.
After waiting for months on end, I did receive the Oliver Peoples glasses on May 9,2010. But, still no response from customer service regarding the refund for the Persol sunglasses.
I absolutely would not buy from this vendor again. There are several "Buyer Beware" complaints about this company on several websites. Please heed these warnings and consider other options when purchasing fashion eyewear.

I thought it was competitive with its prices so I ordered my sunglasses a month ago to wear in the short summer we have. The site states '5-11 working days' now nearly a month later all I have is an automated message every now and then. I think its appalling to be so misleading and not tostick to what they say.

Eyes are precious and irreplaceable, so it is highly recommended to have an eye test at least every 2 years to be sure of your own prescription.
