They will charge your credit card without sending you a confirmation e-mail or any info.
I have been waiting for my glasses for 2 months. They don't have a phone number and they don't reply to e-mails. So I have no idea if will even receive them.
And reading the reviews, it seems that their glasses are fake. Garbage...

Put in my order for Persol glasses and was wondering why this site was so much cheaper than any other site. Did my research and they seemed to be kosher, until they charged my card and they advised me that my address was flagged as a cautionary flag. I replied that I would be more concern buying something from them as they may send fake glasses or even fraudulent transaction with my card than to be flagged as a cautionary risk! If it was flagged as a cautionary address why do they charge my credit card then and later to refund me when I told them I want to cancel the order? I did ask that question to which there no reply to. I would not buy from them and luckily my money was refunded to my credit card. And I would also cancel my credit card in case there is any fraudulent transaction by them.

I ordered Bvlgari glasses from this site and had the lenses dispensed here in Australia. The optician confirmed the glasses were the real deal. I just ordered a pair of Prada prescription sunglasses from them and I'm not the least bit worried. Did anyone think that some of the reviews on here may be from actual retailers who want to discourage people finding out that it's their prices that are the real rip offs!

I didn't have any real problems with SmartBuyGlasses initially. I orded a pair of D&G frames which weren't superfast to arrive, but they did appear after a few weeks and as far as I can tell they were certainly the real thing and the price was about 70% less than Boots. I sent them well inside SBG's 100 day returns limit because I needed a larger size that they couldn't supply, but was when the trouble started and is still not resolved as I write this.

First warning sign - I was rather shocked that I had to post the frames to Canada - I had thought this was a UK site. Needless to say recorded and insured postage to Canada is not cheap but I needed to protect myself so paid the extra to do so.

After two weeks I had heard nothing from SBG regarding the refund. I checked on Royal Mail Track & Trace and could see that the frames had been successfully delivered. I contacted their Customer Services to ask about the refund and received woolly replies saying that they were waiting for their system to be updated and other excuses. So I waited... and waited... and more emails, and more delay tactics. I sent them the UK tracking info so they could see the delivery was confirmed as they were disputing receipt of the returned frames. They responded by saying they couldn't see a signature on line and disputed receipt again. I rang Royal Mail and was given a Canadian post website which then showed a signature and initials of the receiver. I sent this info to SBG Customer Services and suddenly from receiving rapid replies it went quiet. I paid by PayPal and can no longer dispute the payment as it is over 45 days so I am 100% at their mercy. Sometimes trying to save money doesn't pay off. Buyers beware.

Horrible experience with this site. First of all when they charged my card it got flagged by VISA and my card was frozen. Then they said it had to be reviewed by their credit department before the order could be placed. By the time they released it they were sold out of the glasses I ordered. They didnt tell me that though I had to contact them to find out the status. Then I asked for a different pair of glasses, and when I checked back a week later they said they were also sold out of those ones! Again they didnt contact me to tell me that either! Terrible, asked for a refund. Won't use them again.

SCAM! I ordered my glasses four months ago and they still haven't come! I have emailed them many times and they have only gotten back to me a couple times telling me that they are on their way. I have tried to get the charges reversed on my credit card but it is too late! Do not make my mistake and ignore these warning reviews only to be screwed.

Purchased a pair of Bottega Veneta sunglasses after three months the lens fell off because the bolts holding them worked loose, I asked them for replacement bolts they told me they couldn't and wouldn't help me replace the bolts, and it wasn't covered under warranty. Completely unhelpful.

Checked trustpilot quickly before buying. When package came from Hong Kong I got suspicious. Learned that smartbuyglasses isnt a authorized dealer of ray-ban at all. The glasses arrived and the general freeling fom the package, box, glasses felt fake. And OFCOURSE I disnt recieve the original lenses that was supposed to be along with the perscription lenses. Amazing since this was acctually confirmed by customor service before dispatch.

I would like to take legal actions since I get irritated by this big of a company stealing money from customers and legit companies like Ray-Ban.

I dont want to return my shipping because Im afraid from the other reviews that I will be without money and fake glasses...

I bought a pair of hugo boss glasses from a proper optical shop. I wanted to order the same pair but in a different colour about 2 weeks later. Looking online I found smartbuyglasses.co.uk had the same glassed I bought and the full range of colours. Naturally I orders using the unique style code. The glasses that arrived are most certainly fakes and furthermore, the don't even look like the picture on the site! I compared to the real ones I have and it's shockingly clear that these ones are made in china fakes. I am in the process of trying to return and to get my money back. I spoke to the Optician where I bought the original pair and they told me that unfortunately this is quite a common occurrence and that it's best to check on the manufacturers website (i. E. Hugo Boss) to see who their authorised retailers are.

Hi I bought ray-bans from sbg and were delivered in 3 days with full tracking info. These glasses are the real deal and a great company to deal with... in fact they even give me a discount for not having the FREE glass cleaner in stock and I did not even ask for it... I think if your going for prescription lenses may take a lot longer to get your glasses but stock ray-bans are no problem.
I will be purchasing again with no worries

They sent the wrong prescription after a delay of 4 months

This is not a reputable business... they are despicable.
The review sites that first pop up for smart buy glasses come from the same server group as their website! They are awful!

Ok so at first I thought HongKong+low price=scam.
I placed an order for Ray Ban aviators anyway because I like taking risks and... SURPRISE!

Ordered on friday 12th July, got the sunglasses on monday 15th July in the morning.
THEY ARE TOTALLY NOT FAKE AND IF THEY ARE... well in that case I must give credit to the manufacturer because they appear FLAWLESS and have all the original Ray Ban marks such as:
- the case is the original one
- no hanging tags (which is a sign of imitation RayBans)
- presence of ALL original silkscreen printings on lenses and on temples
- Luxottica barcode on the side of box

Also, their customer service always kept me updated on the order status.

I DEFINITELY WILL BUY ON THEIR SITE AGAIN AND WILL RECOMMEND THEM.

Horrendous, awful, atrocious--think of all the negative adjectives and they will apply to this retailer.

I knew I would end up regretting buying from this website but because they showed a pair of sunglasses in stock that I really wanted, I risked it. The first dead giveaway that this would be a nightmare was the fact that they had every pair of sunglasses ever made listed as in stock on their website--whenever you see items on a website that are discontinued or over 3 years old, it's most likely a bait-and-switch operation, as Smartbuyglasses.com is. I ordered a pair of sunglasses that were already 2 years removed from the shelves, I made them confirm that the sunglasses would look EXACTLY like they did in the picture, a Chinese guy in broken English responds saying they confirmed with the manufacturer that they were exactly like the picture. I wait for a month and half before they finally arrive, they are of course not as pictured on the website. They then make me take a picture of the sunglasses to prove it, refuse to pay return shipping (even though they sent me the wrong item), and then, after receiving my return, act like they never received it and made me hound them to issue a refund. The whole time you are dealing with someone in China.

The only thing I say as a positive is that the sunglasses did appear to be genuine.

I beg you to not purchase anything from this website. They are horrible and you might up having to deal with a huge headache like I did.

I ordered some Ray Bans from what I thought was a Canadian website since the domain name had a. Ca extension. I was a little perturbed when I found out that my glasses were getting shipped from Hong Kong as I thought there may be additional duty etc. It turned out ok, the glasses were shipped by Fedex and arrived very quickly and there were no additional duties.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Awful customer service. Long wait plus no telephone number to call for help. I ordered glasses from SmartBuyGlasses.com thinking it would save me money. Don't do it! What a headache. It took a month PLUS to receive the glasses. Then upon wearing them the front screw that holds the glasses together popped out. I wrote to SmartBuyGlasses and no one responded to my email at customer service. I then took the glasses to three independent optical business and NONE of them had the right screw to replace it - they all said go back to the company. So I wrote AGAIN to SmartBuyGlasses and explained everything and asked them to send me the proper screws to fix this? It would cost them nothing to do and have made me very happy. Instead their customer service rep - Jerome- writes back -- "Take the glasses to a local optometrist," as though he NEVER read my compliant in the first place. What a waste. These were pricey glasses to begin with. Don't do business with this company, fair warning.

I'm not sure this is a legitimate company: ordered sunglasses over a month ago, followed up 6 or 7 times to find out where they are and had only 2 responses to all my emails. Those responses come from the same email address, have almost identical body copy but are signed off with different names. Never had any confirmation as to when my order will be delivered, and nothing in the emails is personalised. Recently sent another 4 emails but not had a response, and the tracking number doesn't work. DON'T USE THEM.
