I'm not sure why people have had bad experiences with this company.
I placed an order for Serengeti sunglasses on May the 8th.
I was sent a confirmation email with tracking no on the 10th of May.
I was home for lunch that day and as I was about to go back to work, the parcel post gent arrived and asked for my signature.
My new Serengeti's had arrived. 4 Days from placing an order. The consignment note did show they came from Hong Kong.
The glasses came properly packaged for travel. Completely genuine and about 40% cheaper than what is sold here in Australia. Including free postage and a free cleaning kit. I am really happy with the service from this company.
I was totally astounded with the promptness of delivery as mail in Aust takes as long or more to send just across our country. I'll be saving the web address for my next purchase when I want a new pair.

I ordered some Maui Jim Sunglasses in March and was told right away that there would be a delay as they were out of stock at the distribution centre. SmartBuy Glasses kept me informed constantly about the status of my order. They also offered to change the order to another make which they could have shipped faster. But I was willing to wait for the Maui Jim Readers, my optician recommended them and in the end I was really glad I did. The sunglasses are great and were well worth the wait. I had an excellent shopping experience with SmartBuy Glasses and would use them again and also would recommend them to my friends.
It has been the WORST service that I have ever experienced.
I placed the order almost 2 months ago and though they said the service would take no more than 12 working days, I am still waiting for my glasses. They even told my that suppliers had the product on stock but they have been uncapable to deliver it (but totally capable to charge me the money the day after the purchase), they just have told me week after week during almost 2 months that I should wait longer.
At the begining I was really patient becuase I wanted those glasses, however being wating for long time has gotten me really upset.
This is the first time that such a thing has occurred to my regarding online purchasing; is a terrible service! Specially when you consider that one of the most important services in on line purchases is the adequate delivery.
I strongly recommend you NOT to buy here at least you are patient enough to wait for a year.
I ordered two pairs of sunglasses 4 months ago and I have only received one pair. The company doesn't seem to care that I've waited 4 months for my full order, they have offered no solutions except every time I e-mail them they say it will be a 1-2 week wait. NEVER order from this company.
I ordered a pair of sunglasses on 3.19. On 3.21 the money was taken out of my account. On 3. 27. 12 I received an email saying my glasses were discontinued and asking me to choose a different pair. I didn't want a different pair and asked for a refund. I then received another email asking me to choose a different pair, to which I replied stating once again that I did not want a different pair, I wanted my money back. On 3.29 I was told the money would be back in my account in 3-5 days. On 4.10 I still didn't have the refund, contacted them and they said it was already processed. I contacted my bank (who never has a delay on anything-when they receive it, it's done) and was told they haven't received anything concerning a refund from SmartBuyGlasses! So I contacted SmartBuy again and they said they would send me proof of the refund on 4.13. It is now 4.17 and I haven't received the refund or proof of the refund and am going through my bank to do a dispute to get the money back. So this is a great website if you don't mind paying and getting nothing in return.
Very disapoint WEB-Site. Made my order, has been canceled by the company, and reaprooved again. Already send more than 10 e-mails, and until now no one respond me. Since 5 of April 2012, i request that my order to be canceled and a refund of my money, and until now, no answers to my e-mails or my money. I recently used the UK Site for this website.
I ordered a pair of Ray Ban rare prints special series that I had seen elsewhere for £140 but this website were doing for less than £100.
I must say I was reluctant and after speaking to customer service I was even more reluctant, had I read some of these reviews before hand I definitely wouldn't have used them, but thankfully I did go ahead.
I must say they took longer than expected to arrive but when they did arrive I was over the moon with them. They look genuine to me and my friends and I have recommended this site to my friends.
I will definitely use them again, am planning to order again next pay day, and I hope to be completely satisfied again.

I ordered a pair of eyeglasses in early December. When they arrived I took them into my Optician freind in Oak Park, Chicago. She said that the lenses where indeed Essilor lens, and where cut well and positioned correctly.
I also took them into a Sunglasses Hut and compared to the same pair of RayBans, I could see no difference. Seems like they are legit, I am happy and saved almost $130 on the whole purchase, shippping was 4 days, however it was free shipping so Im not too upset about this, could be a bit quicker.
Great website and customer service! I don't see why anyone would complain, however shipping time did take a while but its understandable. I ordered a pair of frames, received them in about 2 weeks. I got a case, and an extra gift in with it which was some cleaning spray and a cleaning cloth and I think that's it. Unfortuneately the color of the frames didn't go with my complexion so I shipped them back for a refund in which I knew that I would have to pay a 20 percent restocking fee. They received the frames and received a credit within 3 days. I did have to pay to ship them back and pay a restocking fee but a business has to make their money somehow or they wouldn't be in business. I would buy from them again!

I am impressed with this site. I couldn't believe how cheap the sunglasses I bought were compared to retailers. My sunglasses came in wonderful condition, with original packaging, and with an original Persol lens cleaner. This website also provides you with a free lens kit and free shipping, you can't beat it! The only downfall was the shipping was extremely slow. It took over a month to receive my order, but I was constantly updated through customer service and tracking numbers as to where my sunglasses were. The customer service with this site is excellent! I emailed them several times, since it was my first order with smartbuyglasses.com and I was worried with the shipping length, and customer service always emailed a personal and pleasant response within 24 hours. I purchased the rayban sunglass from this website, the price is much lower than the local sunglass shop in my country with no compromise of the quality. The service of the sale team is quite good because the sunglass casing that come with the sunglass I ordered was a little bit torn, so I asked for replacement and they just replace it with no questions ask! Its cheapest place ive found for glasss, although i had a tough time ordering for my daughter as i was in canada and all my cc info and shipping would be to USA after 4 days of emailing back and forth everything got sent. This problem was safety related so its not fair to slate them for that. On the whole good place to get glassses.
