I ordered a circle photo print of my family that came out completely blurry and they won't replace or offer any type of refund. I never received any notification that the photo resolution was not sufficient and have placed photo orders with several other companies and understand this concept. If I was aware the photo resolution was not sufficient, I would have changed the photo before placing the order. Now this product is unusable and to not even offer a partial refund is unacceptable. Very poor customer service and I would never recommend anyone order from this company.
Josh Smallwoods boasts about "people over profits" but works his employees 20 days in a row, some of them working 12 hour shifts during that time period. Management is abusive to their employees often bullying, degrading, and screaming at them. He needs to take a long look at how he grew up and how he is taking his employees away from their families and working them in to the ground. Most employees are there just for a paycheck and a majority are trying their best to leave. Do not buy from this company.
I wanted to share my experience. I ordered 10 smallwoods on Black Friday. I can't imagine with that deal how many orders they got but I'm going to guess it was a TON. I received a couple of my items wrong. A medium family pic came to me as a squished up 13x13 and I got two 13x13 of one of my children and another child was missed completely. I went into the contact form and all my pics were there and correct. I notified them of the mix ups and Monica B responded. She asked for pictures of what I did receive (completely valid, I'm sure people try to scam them). I got my correct pieces 4 days later in perfect condition. I love the rustic feel of the canvas. It's not buttery smooth. Unless your face Is right up to it you can't tell. These canvases pop. Use quality professional photos. Quadruple check your pixels. And your pieces should be too.
Oh and I messed up and put a 10% code instead of a 30% code. I inquired about a refund and they gave me the $60 immediately.
I am sad to write this review as I've had issues with this last order and I find it craZy that they charge shipping on a reorder item that I am reordering because they made it wrong in the first place. Thinking I had just gotten a rotten customer service rep trying a second, third, fourth and yes a fifth person. I was wrong... They actually make you pay shipping on a reorder of an item that they made wrong in the first place. When in all actuality it never should have been made in the first place, because anyone with common sense knows that most people don't want someone's head or body cut off in a family photo frame... but hey maybe they had a bad home life and that's the normal. Lucky for them I found it hysterical and asked that a owner call me back because... Hey they say it's a family business. As a family business owner I know I would want to know... so we'll see. I even contacted them asking them to "hold" the order so someone could "fix" the issue as your supposed to do this so someone knows to actually look at the photo... so it cost me an additional 3 hours this morning to try and reorder the real item...

Back in July I was looking at the 44X22 custom frames and for all three it came to $150.00
Now when I'm going to order them they doubled in price! Offering 60% off but raising the price even more. Wait to order these after the holidays save your money
I was referred to Smallwoods from my photographer so I didn't check reviews-my first mistake. My order came and it was the worst quality I've ever seen! Attempted to resolve and was given a big fat NO from their "customer care". Poor poor poor. They claimed I should have zoomed in 3x before submitting my order! Meanwhile, no proof of product was offered for a final review. Wasted $150 and completely frustrated. Use Shutterfly or Costco Photo instead.
I ordered two images of my twins (boy/girl) and somehow received 2 images of my daughter. I spent about 30-40 minutes playing around with the images to make sure they were about the same zoomed in so they would look right on the wall together and Smallwoods customer service was terrible. They couldn't fix the issue. After several emails and multiple calls, I requested a full refund. They refused to refund me the full amount. I asked to speak with a manager and never got a call back. They admitted they made a mistake and would not make it right. Terrible!
I had a color issue with my order and they quickly sent out a new one! They answer phones quickly and are extremely nice. Love this company and their products. Very great quality overall.

I ordered a custom photo and they sent it and it was horrible quality. I reached out to customer service and she said per our policy custom orders cannot be refunded or replaced? I find this really irritating considering I paid good money to have custom pictures printed and I cannot tell whether they will be good quality or not. Someone should have reached out to me before printing saying these photos will be blurry and not good quality so I could submit different ones. They should have a quality team making sure that their products aren't JUNK.

Let me start by saying I hardly ever write a review (good or bad) but I think the folks at Small Woods has gotten a bad wrap. I was scared after I read the bad reviews but let me just say this: If you pay attention when uploading pictures, the site will tell you if your have a poor quality photo. Mine did but I uploaded them anyway with the hopes of getting at least 4 of my 6 items at a usable level. You cannot expect to upload a poor quality photo and then blow it up to 44" quality item. You also need to use the editing tool provided to make sure heads aren't chopped off and are facing the right direction.
Although I ordered a couple of items with low quality photos, I changed them to black and white and chose the 13 X 13 so all 6 turned out amazingly well. They have a woodgrain look which is what I was expecting (thus the name "smallwood").
Overall, I am very pleased with the price, the speedy delivery, and the quality. They are not perfect but that is my fault. I could've chosen a higher quality for some of my photos but it was the photo my children wanted for their family's addition to my gallery; I tweaked it all I could but it still wasn't up to par... even with that, I ended up with a nice photo... well, 6 nice photos.
I am sure I will order more to replace these once the kids provide better photos. Haha
I was so excited to support this family owned business after reading so many great reviews on social media, and was looking forward to ordering from here for plenty of family gifts of the kids. When I received my 4 "woods" 3 out of the four had some damage to them. Damage that wasn't done during the shipping process, but rather the packaging process. 2 of the 3 were very minor and I could make it work, but one had damage enough where it just looks bad/tacky to display it. (We purchased these as gifts for my inlaws, and now the whole look is thrown off since one can't be used.) When I contacted customer service via email I was offered a 20% partial refund on the damaged items from a make it right specialist. Not a replacement for the item that is TRASH, and not a refund for the item that is TRASH, but a partial refund (like its my fault they shipped us TRASH). I read the email quickly and was under the impression I would be getting 20% back off my order, so I accepted that. When I received back a tiny portion of what I paid them I contacted customer service on the phone to express my unhappiness with my order and with how they were going about correcting it and was pretty much told "the rep offered the partial refund, theres nothing else we can do, I am not trying to argue with you." As a small business owner myself, when there is any error, especially when its on our end, we replace or refund the customer, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Why? Because accidents happen, but good customer service will keep a customer coming back. I will not be purchasing anything else from here, nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. And not due to quality, they are not using actual wood (as the description of the product implies) but rather the cheaper particle board. No not due to even that bc they have the potential to be beautiful products, but due to poor customer service, which in my case only amounted to 6-7$ being added to my refund. This is a matter of principle to me, and they just lost all my business. This order was a trial, and they failed to deliver miserably. Just imagine going to a restaurant, ordering a meal and it comes out with some sort of defect, and the restaurant only offers you about 20% off that meal, not even offering to take it back or give you another one... That's smallwoods. A lack of customer service equals a lack of customers. There are plenty of small businesses on Etsy that use Wood for these kinds of orders, plenty that provide high quality prints in various sizes and plenty that value their customers and want them to enjoy their products. The only place these "woods" will be used or enjoyed is in the trash, because thats where they went.
I used to LOVE this website. I ordered 6 large photos and half of my black and white photos were green and white. I knew I saw the discoloration but thought maybe the lighting on my staircase influenced the contrast. I'm a professional photographer and just couldn't look at them anymore. When I finally compared the bottom half of my staircase images to the top there was a huge difference. I tried reaching out months later to their customer service line and they enoucraged me to email photos. My iPhone wouldn't catch the distortion and would autocorrect the colors to match so when I finally got around to using my professional camera it was hard to miss. Finally submitted a new customer service inquiry and they flat out did nothing. Oh they did offer 20% off which everyone gets frequently on their web promos. Seriously disappointed In how they handled this and their excuse is that it's more than 30 days since purchased. I guess it's worse that over 30 days and I still can't look at them without cringing over the color. They are just sitting in a closet waiting for me to dump them now. :( I posted a review on Facebook and they deleted and blocked me. Wow.
The company refused to refund me or send my order again. Do not spend your money here. They claimed it was UPS fault and didn't make it right after UPS closed the claim. This company takes your money and doesn't fix their mistakes
I was shockingly surprised by the quality of the pictures I received from Smallwoods. The color and clarity is beautiful. I have received so many compliments from neighbors and friends.
Two of my pictures arrived damage. It looks like the shipping carrier stacked other heavy boxes on top of them in transit. Smallwoods customer service was wonderful to work with. A few clicks and uploaded pictures and within a few hours I received an email letting me know that they would be replaced free of charge.

I was skeptical about buying the six 25x25 prints due to some of the reviews, but they turned out amazing! Wonderful quality! Will definitely buy from them again!
They screwed up one of my pictures rotated it 90 degrees from what I sent! Nasty reply when contact them told them that why they have poor customer service rating from BBB. Then they came back with a coupon to replace my bad picture. With my coupon I can pay more for replacement than I did originally
I have no idea why the reviews are so negative. I had a wonderful experience with them and the product is awesome! I think part of the issue is that people expect this to be a high end print, which it isn't for under $40. The framed prints are canvas textured, so just know that before buying. Very sturdy frame and higher-than-expectes quality. I honestly really recommend their products! I am super happy and will be ordering again!
I have never experienced such awful customer service. I uploaded very high resolution prints and they came fuzzy with no resolution warning. They take no accountability for their shotty products. I'm not sure why they even have a resolution team. What an embarrassment of a company.
I ordered 3 large framed prints expecting to get a great addition to my home. The shipping was quite fast but only received two prints. One was damaged with a crease from top to bottom on my face! The quality of the picture was horrible. I know it states that the pixels were off but they shouldn't print something if it's this bad! I asked for a refund but they said it wasn't possible and offered a replacement. Shipping would've been more on their part than to refund me one print. So she offered 30% which I was ok with. Once o got it it was $6! C'mon that was ridiculous! I did get my third print but never another refund or replacement. I do not recommend this company and will not do business with them again!

Don't even try to help you re order or fix anything could careless they will make more money just telling you no and hoping others order at their high prices and I would have cont. To order as I was very happy but now paying$190 for something that don't even care is wrong ya right. Just don't order from them in beginning and you will be fine!
