I've bought makeup from Sephora for forever and to be honest I'd rather just shop with them online. Every time I go into one of their stores the customer service is terrible. You either can't get anyone to help you or the cashiers always seem irritated to even be there
I was ordering a last minute Christmas gift for a family member, I got free priority shipping & it shipped the same day, pretty awesome considering other sites are charging 20$+ to get items before Christmas. Overall very pleased
I've been shopping at Sephora throughout the years, mostly online. There are some things I don't agree with, like their change up on rogue shipping, a lot of orders since the beginning of the year have been taking way longer than what I'm used to to arrive. And a few times my order had arrived without any of my sample picks. But any single time I have an issue with product or shipping and I contact them, they always go above and beyond to take care of it. They've replaced products free of charge, expedited shipping that was taking too long, resent a full order when the carrier lost my package. They also have the best rewards program. I freaking love Sephora and will forever be a Sephora customer.
I've been a VIP Rouge member for several years now, so I clearly like the site as well as the physical stores. They carry the more expensive brands, though the in house brand is usually pretty good. I like that their perfumes are reliable and not fakes (can't say that with all the online sites).
I only left 4 stars, because I find myself buying less expensive, and equally effective, products from their competitor. And I am becoming increasingly annoyed that the free samples they send me with my online orders are rarely the ones I picked out. Don't get me wrong, I still love Sephora. We are just no longer in an exclusive relationship.
I absolutely love these guys. Their customer service is by far the best I've ever encountered. They will quickly attend to any issues, either with their brick & mortar stores or online site. These guys definitely know how to attract and keep customers.
Oh, Sephora! My own personal heaven! The next best thing to actually being in the store! Despite not being able to smell every perfume they have in stock (darn you, slow-moving technology!) the site is fantastic. They've managed to make it extremely user-friendly and organized even with the enormous amount and variety of product they have. Shipping is always easy and prompt, I've never once had a problem with payment or customer service. I will continue to be a loyal Sephora junkie.
Makeup and beauty products are best shopped in person at first purchase. I have blindly purchased as well as reordered items from here. Great selections and quality products. I find the prices to be fair for the most part. And they have a "frequent flyer" type of program where you get points towards discounts on other products.
Sephora has a large inventory of makeup and beauty products, love shopping on this site! They have a great return policy if you are unhappy with what you buy. For frequent buyers the VIP rewards are nice you get free samples and special sales a few times a year. Very good customer service!
I am a "rouge" level customer of Sephora and recently encountered a problem with a $20 eyeliner they sell. The in-store manager refused to provide an exchange due to my purchase greater than 60 days ago. I just opened this eyeliner in the past month, very little product was used. Deplorable customer service!
As I said, website, great, but CS- is awful. Watch what you order, and don't have a problem. It takes them forever to refund money, and they act like even when you do return an item-- they don't have it. I've completely quit doing business with them! And trust me, I was hooked for awhile. I adore makeup, but not at this place. Their CS workers are downright rude.
I think the main reason Sephora is so fantastic is that they carry almost every high end brand. I do try some drugstore products first, but it's true that you get what you pay for. I prefer buying these products here, because in a department store the salesperson works specifically for one brand, so will only recommend products from that company, they also seem to put more pressure on you to buy something. Sephora employees must go through extensive training, I have yet to meet one that doesn't seem to know information about every product in the store, and unless they're with another customer, they will take you to the location instead of just pointing in the general direction. I have never felt pushed into buying anything, and you can get a sample of almost anything to try at home. They also have a great return policy, and their website is equally fantastic.
I used to live near a sephora retail store, but once I moved the closest one was about an hour away. Most of my beauty products are from sephora, so I decided to use their website to get my essentials. They are fabulous! There are all kinds of perks, like free shipping on orders costing more than $50, free samples, and more. Their website has almost every product like the retail store, and sometimes they have online specials for different products. If there is ever a problem, customer service is very friendly and efficient. I don't know what I would do without sephora!
I have ordered from the online site several times without any problems. They offer great sales, fast shipping, and free samples. They offer a wide variety of brands and reviews from consumers. What more can you ask for?... I have never had to return anything so I can't comment on customer service.
I have always been extremely pleased every time I've ordered from Sephora! They carry fantastic products, & offer very nice samples with purchase, with a pretty good variety of samples to choose from. Thanks
I really love Sephora, in fact it's really best one than other. Everything turns up very fast. I'm a regular buyer at the online site. Anyone get free samples in every purchase. They carry every good item and they have very good staffs also with them. By my experience I can tell that its really good place to buys items for makeup.
Love the products at Sephora. They have a decent rewards program too. I sometimes like to check product reviews on their site before I buy online or in person. Lots of quality products to choose from. I'm a fan.
I was greeted by a Sup! What's going on?! It seemed very sarcastic as though the customer service representative purposely raised his voice to mock me! I told him how I wanted to return so Gucci lipstick and he thought he put me on mute and said "We love broken lipstick". Once again he said this very sarcastically. He then tried to apologize but was once again very sarcastic! I asked for his name which he responded Charles in a British accent, when his native tongue was Canadian. I have already filed numerous complaints to Sephora! But I would advise anyone to never call customer service!
I was an avid Sephora shopper and was usually a Rouge member, however within the past 2 years or so, I feel like they have gone downwards. Not only has their shipping slowed down, but they are becoming cheap with their samples, only including 2 now instead of 3 (and I have had many instances where my samples are completely forgotten). May have to start shopping elsewhere
I actually prefer shopping on Sephora.com vs shopping in their stores because I don't have to worry as much about something being out of stock or the packaging having been tampered with. And their shipping is comparable to Amazon - meaning very, very fast.
While visiting the store in Ala Moana I was constantly bombarded by workers and felt i was being nagged on by them. I simply just wanted to shop by myself in peace, yet everywhere I turtles or walked a worker was asking me if i needed help looking or needed a bag. In fact two workers asked me multiple times. Once is good enough and there is nothing wrong with peacefully shopping. My shopping experience was anything but peaceful or fun because the workers were constantly nagging me. This experience makes me never want to enter into any sephora location again.
Answer: There are a ton of great moisturizing and anti-aging products out there to help you. Sephora has so many that your head will spin, but there are also a lot of drugstore alternatives that are rated just as highly (or better) than a lot of higher-end ones. I would do some research online before ever stepping foot into a store like Sephora (trust me - they will bombard you with very expensive things you don't need). Honestly, I really like Ulta as a store better than Sephora because they carry both drugstore, middle-end, and higher-end products. (MUCH better service, too) But before you go anywhere, Google things like "best anti-aging products for mature skin" or things like that. Using multiple products, such as a glycolic toner, a serum, as well as a moisturizer is a good idea. One thing that is FANTASTIC for wrinkles and dark spots is Retin-A, but you have to get a prescription for it and it is harsh on your skin (especially if you're sensitive). It literally kills off your top layer of skin (which leads to a very annoying period of your face peeling for a few weeks), but once you get over the growing pains, your skin is amazing. I was diagnosed with melasma, which is hyperpigmentation of the skin, on my face, so my doctor gave me Retin-A and hydroquinone, which really works at fading dark spots. If you can't afford the Retin-A (mine is over $200 a tube), there are a lot of great OTC products that contain retinol and work well, just not like the Rx version. Neutrogena has a great line of products for dark spots and wrinkles. But like I said, do your research and don't let sales reps push you into really expensive products, because they get a commission, and you may get stuck with a bad product and an empty wallet. Hope this helps!
Answer: This is Sephora's list of current promo codes. They should always be valid - whether you get them to actually give you what they're supposed to is always a gamble. To get a birthday promo, you have to join their Beauty Insiders club. It's free - just go to their website.
Answer: Yes. I have to take Care of my skin in every routine when my acne appears
Answer: Yes! They have a VERY liberal return policy. You can try most products in store, as well. But, if you do buy something that you don't agree with, for any reason, don't worry. They exchange easily. I always use Sephora.com... never have had a problem returning for any reason whatsoever.
Sephora has a rating of 2.6 stars from 555 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Sephora most frequently mention customer service, gift card and next day. Sephora ranks 706th among Cosmetics sites.
