They will not honor a return because I'm told THEIR system says that the part I ordered is not for my vehicle. However this is untrue and is an updated part recommended by Ford. Do not order parts from them and expect an easy process of warranty claim. Furthermore they do not have a human being to talk to it's all automated through email. Expect long wait times. I would give them zero Stars if it was possible
Order never arrived stating address format not correct, it was. Offered no refund and treated rudely by so called customer service advisers, not my fault but now my problem. Tried emailing them and they blocked my emails! The worst place I've ever had the misfortune to deal with, they just do not care!
I order a ignition switch and needed it the next day.I paid 25.00 dollars for FedEx to ship my product. I finally received my part 4 days later.Rock Auto could and would not refund my shipping charges.! I will never use Rock Auto for anything ever again, and will tell everyone how bad They truly are, no customer service

Im a mobile mechanic and I been a customer since 2017. Lately this year I been getting a lot of parts that show previous use or defects and rockauto still wants me to pay for the return shipping. First off all this should be covered by them I'm tired of dealing with these issues I'm going to find another online retailer I suggest you do the Same. Rockauto order number *******
I have ordered 4 times now from it for 3 different cars and for me everything went perfect, it is the shopper responsibility to search for correct part number
However shipping is little more expensive
But in general i am very satisfied with the service
RA will never admit they are wrong and sent the wrong part. They always try to make look like it is your fault that you received the wrong part. This has happened many times and they just keep arguing. The best one can do is pay the discounted shipping return cost and NEVER buy here again. If Amazon acted this way they would be out of business. Rock Auto told me I am wrong and that this measurement is indeed 4.125 inches. They simply will not listen to reason, proof, or logic.
The rear upper control arm visually looks the same. But the holes are misaligned and cannot be altered. I had to wait over a month for the mechanic, and now they won't give me a refund. I'm stuck with two expensive pieces of junk. The return shipping is almost as much a the part. I've spent a lot of money there. I won't use them again. Buy local.
I have been purchasing from Rockauto.com for years. I can tell you, they are not a scam site. A scam is ran by a very competent person that intentionally deceives you. Rockauto employs very incompetent people that just don't know how to read. I recently had a part that was stalled and had not shipped from the warehouse. I emailed the hidden email address asking them to look into it. I received the worst possible customer service response that could have been better sent by Siri. It simply said to go to the website and check my order status. The guy (Rodney) totally ignored my email all together. It almost looks like it is just an auto-reply to all messages. I understand wanting to automate all you can and be efficient. Ignoring your customer's issues and canned responses are not a good solution.
I own a small auto repair business. When time allows, I use RockAuto. Over the last 5 years, I've bought hundreds of parts from them. Their practices are fair and their policies are well displayed. The negative reviews I've read seem to have one thing in common, not following procedures. That's why I'm writing this review. Read the warranty info and return policy. This company stands by their policies and have provided me years of service, and I expect many more to come.
Ordered rotors from here and they were cut wrong. Of course they don't help. They want you to send back the purchase, which I was willing to do after I got new ones because how tf am I supposed to drive with no rotors? My car is my work! Horrible way to deal with customers
The worst. They will send you a defective part and somehow make it your fault. Maybe if you get a correct part it would be okay, but after paying for shipping both directions, and then install i am out SO much money. Adam sucks, and they could care less about their customer. I will never purchase from them again. EVER. Even if they are cheaper.
So back in September I ordered struts for my Jeep needed a left and a right. So I ordered them from rock I ended up needing an engine for other reasons so those parts sat at the shop until I could get the other repairs done. Well guess I was sent two right side parts. So now I need to purchase a left (not through them) because I'm over 30 days. Part still in the box but it don't matter that my invoice says a left and right was purchased. I should have known. Not very fair for someone who knows nothing about parts but was trying to save some money wherever they could with the repair. Won't purchase again from here. No customer service representative to talk to just an email saying I had enough time to look. I get it but still it was the wrong part sent.
Ordered a part while on vacation several hours away from home to be installed before we left. Paid for 2 day shipping to have this part in time to install so we could leave from our vacation. It did not arrive in time. It took 5 days when I paid extra for 2 day delivery. I can't call or even chat with someone online. I will NEVER order from Rick Auto again! And this is being shared to my social media page to warn others.
We ordered parts which FedEx would drop off at our local C-store. The C-store rejected the delivery, which meant it got sent all the way back to Rockauto. FedEx would not allow us to redirect the package, we also could not contact Rockauto, as there is no phone number. When Rockauto eventually refunded us, they would not refund any taxes, they also did not refund all of the parts. So for an order totalling $465, we only got refunded $97, because they said return shipping was very expensive. So I will not use them again, they are dishonest and totally against giving any customer service. Stay away, rather use someone who has a customer service number, that you can actually get hold of.
No matter how many thousands of dollars you spend at rockauto, they don't care. When they send the wrong part, you either have to keep it or pay the return shipping to get a refund. And they never offer free shipping. I am done with this dump. They have no customer service to contact so when THEY screw up YOUR order, YOU are burnt! I will never shop with them again. Learn from my mistake and go anywhere else
I will never use RockAuto again. I've ordered three different parts from them in two orders. First order never arrived - even though the address was correct. I shipped a gas tank and fuel float indicator to my mechanic. He had his address featured prominently on his building and on the bill board next to his location. I was charged and never refunded.
Second order arrived, but it was some poor soul's order located in Texas. I'm on Maui, HI.
Its not worth ordering from this disorganized and incompetent business.
Received my package today. Got 4 bottles of Wash-R Emulsion. Ordered 2 ball joints for my firebird. No packing slip in a RockAuto box. Impossible to return as I have to ship across the border. Thinking of posting to youtube just to show how incompetent some people are. Picture of what I received. I would leave zero stars if I could.
Bought a 2013 Toyota Avalon here at the end of April 2023. Drove okay, looked to be un good shape inside and under the hood. Not long after I purchased it it started making a popping sound in the front end. I and others thought it was suspension related, until it went up on a rack. The mechanic contacted me immediately asking if I can take this car back. The front axel had been replaced, visual damage to much of the underneath of the vehicle. Loose bolts all over, including where the " work " had been done. This car suffered major damage, even though it has a clean carfax, and the repair work was not close.to professional grade. I am lucky the front axel didn't fall apart. Now I am stuck with this car, owing thousands, repairs needed to even make it run right and reliable.
I ordered a break KIT from them. They sent rotors that were wrong in the kit. (mistakes happen) So I wanted to return the kit. They would not let me. They excepted that the rotors were wrong but wanted to charge me for retuning the pads and clips. I want a KIT! Not individual parts. And now, when I do get new rotors, what if the pads don't fit? BTW, they don't take phone calls to fix any problems like this so be prepared to spend hours writing in detail why you need to return the items. Followed by them saying no or covering half. ONLY low-level companies operate like this. Time is money, save your time and use a better company with a little service.
I have ordered from rockauto.com many times over the years. I have a collection of about 25 magnets they send out with the orders. That is a really nice touch and the magnets are high quality with classic cars pictured that are built from Rock Auto parts.
I have never been sent the wrong part. Any returns I have had were my own mistake, so I used the self return option and paid for and printed the return label right through the website. It was really convenient. Shipping has always been quick and the prices are always lower than the brick and mortar shops in my area, even after the shipping cost.
