We paid extra for an expedited shipment but DHL claims RockAuto did not fill out delivery papers correctly. So package got returned to station. Information on order confirmation was correct. After asking them to return the express shipping costs, their support closed ticket and stopped responding.
. Cheap poor quality Chinese made parts. They get you by till you can do better. Then placed a couple hundred dollar order I soon discovered they charged me for multiple times and ripped me off making it right. Sent boxes of parts back and thus far barely have been returned enough money to pay return. Shipping... Use at your own risk. Good luck
I recently ordered two cans specialty fluid for my trucks package was soaked when it was left on my driveway so I knew at least one can it opened I just now looked since he refused to pick it up try to put the other kin in I'm a cat fell off what a piece of crap so a large-bore can just dumped out on top of my gas cap and of course that didn't work well got 3/4 but when it's the yard. They refuse to answer their 1-800 number they should be shut down. And my view if you won't answer your phone you're criminals
Paid for express shipping but did not receive item until three days later. Have requested refund just for the difference between standard and express shipping - around $8.00. This company can only be communicated with through a service email account. There is no opportunity to speak with a human being as my requests for return phone calls are ignored. This might seem like a minor amount to some, but it is poor business and just think about the impact to their bottom line if they scam $8.00 from every transaction. Additionally, if they will cheat you out of $8.00, they will cheat you out of hundreds of dollars just as quickly. Your money is better spent with an online retailer with actual contact options with human beings or with tradition brick and mortar retailers.
Ordered the front left window regular (Driver's Side) for 1 2013 Ford Escape & received the wrong part. No chance of returning it & no phone number to call. What kind of business is allowed to operate like this? Order # *******. It's now saying since it's past 30 days, nothing can be done. I guess I'll just throw away this new Window Regulator & lose the $85.00. :(
Rockauto.com sucks big time! Shipping is outrageous, customer service doesn't exist and I only see Rockauto.com as an option if you can't find the part anywhere else, even then you might not get what you paid for!
I ordered a box of parts from Rockauto and when I received it there were wrong parts and missing parts. It was like they had a blind guy walk down the Isles putting random stuff in there. Whoever printed out the order form put in incorrect part numbers that did not match my original order.
I've emailed but have had no replies. I can't ship them back because I live in New Zealand so will cost more than the parts are worth.
You'd think they'd have half a clue and double check the order before sending it half way around the planet. Never again.
Been using rock auto for years they been great. But last delivery was over $200 in shipping and items came damaged box was very heavy. When item's should've been shipped separately. Core charge is very expensive and now they're charging me to ship back their core can't get anyone on the phone or email. Customer service has turned to crap.
I Ordered parts and paid for shipping. They gave me a date it didn't arrive then I received a email saying it will come a week later! Totally unacceptable! Now mechanic is charging me storage fee because the car is sitting waiting on the parts to come! Rock auto has no customer service so you basically screwed it you have any real issues. Never again! I rather pay store price and get quality parts and if I have any issues I can take it right back and or at least have someone to talk too about my issue
Never again. Radiator had a very small crack, No way it could be detected in initial inspection. It became obvious once installed a nd vehicle was warming up. 65 days to review claim. Like I said, NEVER AGAIN. $750.00 down the drain.
This company has no type of customer service dept. in place. Returning an item (which happens frequently) is almost impossible with these guys. You are much better off ordering a part at your local auto parts store where you can return an Item with no questions asked.
Ordered a grill for my vehicle and It came crushed. Set up a return and they sent a new one right away. Also broken. Wanted to talk to someone about it. Impossible. No customer service to call, email, or message. Only thing you can do is set-up another return. It's like doing business with a computer. I'll stick to my neighborhood parts store from now on.
Purchased a front and rear brake package from Rock Auto - Specified them for my car and they came in and were wrong. I have the car 1/2 taken apart and in a real bind. Spent over an hour trying to call someone to figure out why but no customer service is avail. Spend another 30 min going thru their return process then having to pay shipping to return. I went to my local autoparts store - 5 min had the correct parts on the counter. Rock Auto - you stink.
Its been a month and I still don't have my part. Tracking number they supplied never was active. Nothing showed up ever. Contacted Customer Support 2 weeks after ordering. Every other major retailer would have just sent a new part right away but not RockAuto. They make you wait a MONTH to see if it shows up before they will lift a finger. This is an $12 part mind you. Anyone else would be, here is another one, if you end up with 2, just mail one back. Nope, RockAuto treats you like a criminal. I will look elsewhere next time.
I bought a pair of front springs for my car. After installation, one side of car was lower than the other! I removed them, look at my pictures. Do you see any problems?
RockAuto refused to refund my money and only wanted to replace the junk parts with junk parts. Of course, I had to pay for the return shipping costs.
Additionally, all the parts came in dirty beat up boxes. I have bought auto parts from many places, and the parts always arrived in clean packages. What I suspect is the parts were seconds or defective likely returned to the original seller. RA may have bought them up at some auction or site dedicated to clearing out old inventory.
I've ordered a lot off of Rockauto and never had a bad experience, great prices, amazing shipping times to the east coast of Canada, good packaging, cool free fridge magnets and they send me discount codes at least once a month.
I was in need of a part last week so I looked at rockauto and ordered it, paying $35 extra for next day delivery. I finally received it 4 days later. I tried to cancel the order before it shipped late Friday afternoon but rockauto would not let me saying that it had already shipped. When I complained to rockauto they told me this "We're sorry, but we can not cancel and order once it has been shipped.

Ordered parts on a Monday - order processed and showed "label created" for 3-4 days with no further progress. Finally on Friday it showed FedEx had package and order to be delivered in the Midwest on Tuesday. This sucks. Will never use these monkeys. Plus have you noticed no phone number to reach them and look at their ratings.
RockAuto was one of the first online auto parts stores, founded by two brothers who had worked in Detroit Auto industry, they have a long history of providing information that was formally held by the auto parts dealers. I personally have bought over two dozen separate items from them and never had a problem. My core returns were always credited promptly and if anything products arrived early rather than late. I think people should keep in mind that people rarely post positive reviews they almost always post negative reviews so their reviews are skewed that way.
Ordered a part and the screen showed shipping of 14.99. When I checked out and made payment via Paypal they switched the shipping to 23.99
Worse, very difficult to contact customer service. No way to call them, has to all be done through their online order system.
Do not do business with this company.
