Ring is the worst! Does not start recording until after 15-20 seconds so you see person walking away? Tried to resolve w customer service w no luck. Do not waste your time or money.
When my ring doorbell stopped working Customer Service explained it this way.
"Even though your doorbell is connected to power it is really battery operated. The trickle charge it receives is not sufficient and the doorbell will fail unless you regularly remove it and charge it. If it is cold outside of course it will fail!"
How can they sell an outdoor product won't take a float charge and will fail below 32 degrees F.

The Stick up cams record more Green screen then they do actually footage after calling 3 times yesterday and 2 times today they say it's my Internet provider call them. It's just as easy to return the cameras then it is to keep calling ring customer support
My plan was upgraded on Nov 12 and should have been saving videos for 180 days. My car was keyed a few days ago. There are only videos for the last two days. Ring has no answer but to say I "must have deleted them". They can't recover them or tell me what happened to them. I Haven't been in the account and it certainly hasn't been hacked, it has 2FA and a password that is far to complex to crack. I would NEVER pay for the camara's or this plan again. When I needed them, they were not there. They are keeping the money of course.
I have had a ring doorbell for quite some time and unhooked it for a few months due to a move. When I installed it again, the doorbell received a firmware update and then stopped working. I contacted customer support and after an hour of troubleshooting, they informed me that when a device has been disconnected for an extended amount Time, their firmware update will render their devices (Plural) useless. I am not kidding, she told me this straight out. She offered me a 35% discount to buy a new one. How nice of her. It's no wonder this company has a one star rating on just about every site on the Internet.
My Ring had 2 videos in the middle of the day that said "Persistent Video - no Video." Before and after for hours was fine. I called Support because I have a criminal landlord who has vandalized my Ring Cam before. Just as I got someone (Cedrie, in the Philippines) I went back to Event History and the later of the two magically had fixed itself, 3 hours later! I could now see the video correctly (with my roommate entering). But the earlier one still showed/shows "No Video." Cedrie was absolutely clueless about the issue, telling me she had to give me information like "Ring is battery powered" when I have owned it for 5 years and changed the battery dozens, if not hundreds, of time. She insisted on going over the Motion Settings, even the device was and is working correctly before and after the two events. I finally had to ask for a supervisor because she kept asking such silly, basic questions. I'm still waiting for the supervisor or Level 2. Don't they have a reasonable policy to pass the customer to higher technical support or have support contact me? Ridiculous. As I write this Cedrie tells me leadership says it is my battery (which is showing 28% charged still). I have 2 batteries and I switch between them when the installed one gets to about 8% and have done this for a couple of years. Never a problem and more tellingly the problematic event (see photo below) is almost 4 hours ago -- the newer events have no problem, and yet if the battery were the problem, they wouldn't have been captured. These people are barely trained and try to bs you. Edgar, the specialist for Missing Motion came on and told me that the battery pack (purchased from Ring) acts erratically once it is below 30% charged (mine says 28%, as shown by photo below). I used to get to 10%. Beware, then, of buying battery packs from Ring.
Half the time it never loads, and this is an amazon-owned brand so you know this is definitely a lost cause
If i had known that Ring customer service was so poor, I would have bought other equipment. I purchased a lifetime subscription with one of their cameras and they unilaterally took it away with no explanation, leaving me with no way to view recorded events, only live activity. Called Customer Service and was disconnectd once, then put on hold over 11 times after I called back, and waited nearly two hours for a resolution. Ultimately, their advice was to call the camera installer I hired because they couldn't help me. No wonder this outfit has ratings of 1.5 stars
One of my ring devices continually disconnects from my Wi-Fi. I thought, "no worries," since I have an extended warranty with my plan, but I found out this is not the case. Why? Because you have to have the plan from day one, if not, then no warranty on devices. That doesn't make any sense. Why get an extended warranty if it is useless to ues?
My Flood/Cam device failed due to corrosion of the cam lens. Interaction with support was poor at best, since my Food/Cam was discontinued my alternative was to buy a new one that was on promotion for $140. To "help out" they offered a 35% off coupon. What they failed to inform me was the coupon could not be used on a device that was on promotion. Frankly I was never happy with Ring quality and reliability shortly after purchase and will switch both my door bell and Flood/Cam from Blink. I am quite surprised with their attitude and the support person lack of product knowledge. Amazon get your act together
I loved my ring up until recently it isn't picking up anyone coming near or on my property. But it picks up cars riding back and forth. I've tried everything and it still isn't working. It bothers us because we're gone a lot from home and liked being able to see what's going on. Hopefully someone from Ring can help us with this issue.
I was gifted a Ring door bell for Christmas 2022.
By the time it was installed it was Mid Jan 2023.
So it has only been in place for 13 months.

Zodra het proefabonnement is verlopen, geeft hij om de haverklap een melding dat er een beweging/persoon is gedetecteerd. Zodra je een proef-/abonnement afsluit, verdwijnen deze meldingen als sneeuw voor de zon. Als je geen abonnement hebt, kun je geen enkele melding bekijken.
Accuduur van camera's op accu is zeer kort. Ook in de besparende modus.
Kortom: kijk verder voordat je iets van Ring aanschaft.

I am in my late 60's and live alone. I have a ring doorbell so I can see whether or not I should answer the door. My phone has become disconnected from the ring doorbell and I no longer have that available to me. In trying to get help with this problem, I have run into nothing but impossible navigation issues. Today's was a "Customer Service" person who would not believe that I was not getting the information she was trying to send to my phone. When I asked to speak to someone else, she hung up on me.

Have ring for 5 yrs. I am a shared user and my husband was manage user. My husband passed.
Takes 15 days to transfer to my name as owner. NO EXCEPTIONS. Wanted me to provide a notary (?), death certificate, and a power of attorney. Tried to educate them on some things,, but all they did was read from a script. Horrible customer service. In the meantime, no doorbell or video and shopping for other companies.
This is the worst customer service I ever seen! You spend hours to talk to a person who is really not even a tech person and you ask to speak to Supervisor and they ignore your question and keep talking to try to help! But they have no clue on what to do or how to solve the issue

But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
