Scammers
March 25, 2022

They portrayed as the actual hotel, lied about the price, and had over charged us, gave no confirmation number.
They need to be shut down... immediately

I had never used Reservations.com before, so I thought I'd give them a try! Horrible idea! I was on the phone with an agent for 40 minutes... a heavy accent along with poor knowledge as to how to make reservations for customers. I needed 2 hotel rooms for 2 separate dates. I explained this every possible way I could. She ended up booking 4 rooms for only 1 of the dates. Thank goodness I checked my email confirmation right way and realized she made a huge mistake. Not only that, the rooms were immediately charged to my credit card. I've NEVER had that happen with any hotel reservation before. AND I was charged a non-refundable service charge of $20 per room. When I called back to complain, I was told the $20 per room for the rooms that were made in error by the agent, would not be refunded. What? I spoke to a "supervisor ", and was told the same thing. A complete rip-off! I cancelled everything with them, called the hotels directly and got much better rates, no service charges, and no upfront charging to my credit card. BEWARE! This is a shady group. I will never use them again, obviously.

Total Internet Scam
July 27, 2017

Their website and search results look and feel like the "real" hotel website your trying to book. They take your booking and do 2 things... 1) charge your card for full stay and 2) charge a NON REFUNDABLE $14.99. BUT THEY ARE NOT THE REAL HOTEL.

You figure this out and cancel the reservation as the REAL hotel does not charge your card until you arrive. Takes them 2 weeks to credit your credit card (1 minute to charge but 2 weeks to return?).

Anyway my stupidity cost me $14.99.

They booked wrong hotel in wrong STATE. Called, stated they corrected - all set. Never received e-mail confirmation of the alleged correction, but found they charged me for what I presume was another hotel. Three charges on my bank statement, no confirmation of reservations. Called again, verbally relayed what reservation they made on my behalf. After having to ask FOUR times, whatever hotel they booked was wrong again! The "agent" (out of USA - likely India), said the double + charge was because of the other hotel, now corrected to the right state - cost double (if they had booked at hotel I requested, the total was less than either of their charges!). I was hung up on 3 times, before I got "Jane" - who confirmed all the charges and errors, and "... was so sorry, but, would I be interested in a current promotion...". Absurdity! I told her a dozen times to REFUND my money. She finally stated she had done so and it would show up in SEVEN to TEN days (they took money from my account - within seconds of making the reservation - twice, once without authorization!). She also said she would send
E-mail. I haven't received any email or refunds to my account. I am going to report them to my state Attorney General's Office and have already reported the issue to my bank. -

Wonderful room
November 2, 2018

Love layout and room was fabulous. However, when in lobby the smoke was very bad. The filtration system was very poor and bothersome to asthma and breathing issues
The valet staff was friendly but in the morning at 5:00 AM our vehicle retrieved. We went to Renown Medical Center for my husbands surgery, only at 10:00 AM when he was released, I found my auto head lightsvwherevturned to manual
We did not see that at 5:00 AM and so he had to wait for AAA roadside for a jump
My husband had to keep his foot elevated, after his toe amputation, on top of dash ( uncomfortable) for over an hour till our battery was jumped
Please advise valet staff NOT to touch auto lights in the future
Other than those two issues. Had a relaxing peaceful stay.

SCAM---SCAM---SCAM
November 12, 2017

I signed up from canada for a canadian hotel in a canadian province. When I reserved the room nowhere except at the very bottom of the page in very small very light gray print stating all prices in USD dollars. There is no way to know how much they are going to charge you unless you check your account. They will charge you twice than all other websites. THIS SITE IS A SCAM AND MISLEADING.

I realized today that a reservation I was sure to have made through Booking.com ended up with this horrible thieving site. They never sent me a confirmation email and now I understand why - they did not want me to know right away that I had ended up with them. How? I have no clue, but I WENT TO BOOKING.COM. Not only did they charge me $35 more per night than the hotel's advertise rate, they also charged me a $14.99 reservation fee and to top it all off, when I called today, exactly one week after the reservation was made and one week before I'm due to arrive at the hotel, they told me that my reservation was non-refundable. Just plain wrong! They are horrible people. Their agents don't give a darn about anything except making their illegal money. Someone should shut them down, since I have found nothing but horrible things about them online. Never knew they existed and I'll make it my life's mission from this point forward to spread the word about how horrible and how dishonest their practices are. I do hope the money they stole from me serves them well, since it is going to be the only $186.65 that they get from me.

Reservations.com
December 31, 2019

When I made my reservations back in September I thought I was talking directly with Hampton Inn in Michigan and somehow was rolled over to reservations.com which of course says that they are offering the lowest prices available and when I had my stay I was actually over charged for one night because when checking out my actual bill was only $141 and change when reservations.com had billed me a hundred and $80 and change plus their 19.99 handling fee which made me pay a total of $200.28 to them when I made my reservation. They, of course, say that they are offering the lowest prices available. I'm going around and round with them here today for the last 4 hours trying to get some kind of adjustment to no avail as they insist that properties sometimes run specials of which they have no access. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE RESERVATIONS.COM AS THEY MISREPRESENT LOWEST PRICING, and will not make any adjustments even when you can prove they have overcharged you!

Refused to refund
May 20, 2019

I made an online reservation and when I entered my credit card number the price jumped significantly from the advertised price. I immediately called to cancel the reservation. I asked for the cancellation number and was told she was unable to provide it. I was charged $432.47 on my credit card and 45 days later still had not received the refund. I called again and was told they could not find the reservation. Yet they charged my credit card. I have to file a dispute with the credit card company now. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!

Do NOT use this site
April 13, 2020

I made a reservation through this site on March 3rd which I cancelled on March 28th. Unfortunately, i paid $19.99 for the privilege of making a reservation through this site when I should have just called the Hotel Rio Matane in Quebec. I cancelled the reservation on March 28th and still have not received a credit back to my account. The staff at reservations.com said the credit to my account should take 6-10 business days (wrong), was delayed due to my "bank" (wrong, it was on a credit card), with a maximum of 10 business days (wrong, I have never received it).

I was somehow redirected to this site during the booking process. They charged me $43 more than the advertised rate on the hotel website and when I caught as soon as I hit reserve and the actual name of the site popped up I called and they refused to help. Worst customer service and major charges you don't see until you book. DO NOT USE THIS SITE.

Are you effing kidding me, reservations.com???? I went to book a room whose room rate you said was $116 and I get a confirmation email saying you charged my card $172? WHAT> THE>? I expect to be in touch with my lawyers over this because that is STRAIGHT UP RIDICULOUS. You are the sort of people that give businesses a bad name. If you bill the room rate as $116, and you turn around and charge the individual $172, then YOU ARE SCHYSTERS and you need to go out of business!

In all my years of booking online, this has to be the worst experience ever. I would like to think that this review might have an impact on reservation.com's overall ranking but since it is already rock bottom, I guess that I can only have a marginal impact on making it worse. I made a booking with reservations.com, found a much cheaper way to book the room, then called reservations.com back a few hours later. The person who answered the call pulled up the reservation details and told me that the reservation I had made had been cancelled, so there was nothing he could do. The reservations.com agent instructed me to check on the web. I did and indeed it did show that my reservation had been cancelled. Since there was no reason why the reservation should have been cancelled, and since the reservations.com agent who answered the phone was obviously totally incompetent, I didn't believe him. I asked him to send me an email confirming the details of our conversation, and I insisted that I would stay on the line until I received his email. He said that this was impossible, and that I would receive his email within 24 hours. I never received the email. I have tried calling reservations.com hundreds of times since then, to discuss the matter in person, but their customer service line is perpetually busy. A month later I'm being charged by reservations.com for a reservation that reservations.com made, and then cancelled immediately after the reservation was made. Bottom line. Nobody should *EVER* use reservations.com.

DO NOT USE - RIP OFF
September 23, 2018

Booked the reservation on personal device while driving. Advertised@ $99 online and was best price. Total including taxes was $139. Booking was smooth and arrived at hotel and checked in.

Looked at the invoice the next day when driving home to find out that the charges were US funds for a Canadian hotel booking.

Figured this must be a mistake and contacted customer service. Customer service was rude and condescending. Representative stuck to the company line that the "US funds" was written in the fine print at the bottom of the form. Refused to refund the difference ($50) between Canadian and US currency. When I asked to speak with supervisor they hung up.

Followed up a few months later with customer service via email and basically was told that they would not resolve my complaint.

This company is a rip off and the epitome of a company that is designed to misrepresent and steal from customers. Will never use this POS company again. Would like the company to be investigated for fraud. IRS should go through them as well. With these shoddy practices they probably have numerous other practices that should be investigated.

Absolute scam
February 2, 2018

They pretend to be the hotels website, charges in USD even when booking a canadian hotel then turns around and pays the hotel in CAD (so they charge $100USD and then pay the hotel $100CAD pocketing the difference). When the hotel offers discounts and allows you to cancel a day early for no cost they send the money back to reservations.com who then refuse to pass the money back to the user instead pocketing the difference. This is pure and simple THEFT. When the buyer and the seller both agree to waive a fee the middle man is not allowed to pocket the money. I would rather the hotel get the extra day than these thieves.

I accidentally got on Reservations.com website thinking I was actually on the actual hotels website (Holiday Inn - IHG). I booked a one night stay. Since we usually eat breakfast at the hotel I asked the Reservation.com representative to include breakfast. She recalculated the cost including breakfast and I agreed gave her my credit card #. When I arrived at the hotel I was informed that the booking did not include breakfast. I looked mare thoroughly at Reservations.com booking receipt and the hotel clerk was correct, there was no mention that breakfast was included on it. I did send an email to Reservations.com stating that their booking agent failed to include it on the invoice. I have not heard back from them, nor received a refund for the amount I paid for breakfast for two. In addition it is my opinion that they misrepresented themself as being the actual hotels website, as I searched for the actual hotel name, Holiday Inn. It is also my opinion that if I had actually booked directly with the hotel the cost would be much less.
