Appeared to be the actual hotel when reservations were made! Then attempted to adjust reservation by one day and the woman (who could barely speak English) told me the reservations were "non-adjustable & non-refundable" - meaning I will be charged the total amount and have to re-reserve another room! WHAT A RIP OFF! The woman I spoke with (after asking for an extensive amount of information to confirm who I was) - was the most UNHELPFUL person I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY!
Two story motel with no elevator & steep outdoor stairs. Room was clean with comfortable beds. Mold around tub, no plug in tub or sink. Coffee not replenished on second day.
I used this website to book my room at the hotel. That was great booking experience. They got me discount on my room price. It was really lovely gesture. Thank you.
We ended up reserving a room through reservations.com. While we were waiting in the airport in Calgary AB because we missed a flight. The guy taking the reservation did not tell us there would be a $24 service fee added on to the end of our reservation. In fact he specifically told me the final total and never added that fee.We were supposed to have a shuttle and there was none, which ended up costing us another $65 return to the airport next day. I spoke to someone in customer service at midnight same night because we never got a confirmation, and then I asked her what the $24 fee was and she said it would go back onto my credit card within 24 hours. Today I spoke to customer service and they absolutely refused to put the $24 back onto my credit card even though their customer service was horrible. I would not recommend reservations.com to anyone and if you're in Canada, they charge you US dollars. Hidden fees should be illegal and that's what this company does I selected one star but I would only give it a zero star
This is a SCAM outfit. I went to a motel site (or so I thought) to book a room. When I checked the room availability, it put up a big countdown ticker that had something like: ONLY 1 ROOM LEFT, FINISH THIS RESERVATION IN '4:35' (counting down) or the room will be released to another customer.
I hurriedly finished and booked the room. I then checked my card and was charged nearly $85 for a $50,1-star room! Turns out, RESERVATIONS.COM charges a $19.99 CONVENIENCE FEE! I immediately called the customer service and got a call center in Pakistan or India and was told it was a non-refundable reservation! I'm fighting this charge through my Credit Card company. ALWAYS look to see if you got redirected to RESERVATIONS.COM. If so, GET OFF QUICK! They will steal your money!
I was scammed- thought I was reserving a room through Hyatt (as that is what the button I clicked on my phone said). One minute later I was charged $100 MORE than I was quoted FOR A BOOKING. I immediately called to cancel. I was told by both customer service and Manager Frank (Call Center in Philippines) that they would contact hotel for refund. Today I received an email from the Billing Department saying they make all the decisions- they do not contact the hotel at all and they can't help me as I agree to the cancellation policy. I never saw or agreed to any "cancellation policy." I didn't get the room and I was charged $270. SCAM!
My wife reserved a room by phone with them. She was never told that there were fees for reservations. Steep fees. And that they bill you right away even if your reservation is for a room 10 months later. NEVER EVER DOING BUSINESS WHIG THEM. LESSON LEARNED.
Company is a complete rip-off made no mention of $14.99 charge for making reservations through this company. Also, said room was 159 and ended up at 203+15 equals $218 for a room that was listed as $138 at the Marriott. DO NOT EVER USE THIS SITE TO BOOK RESERVATIONS- ALWAYS CALL HOTELS DIRECTLY. THIS COMPANY SUCKS!
Thought we were on Marriott site, make a reservation, no where on this site do they state reservation can not be cancelled or changed, when I realized I was not@ Marriott tried on the phone to cancel(cannot use my Marriott rewards card, need to book directly) I was told this reservation could not be cancelled or changed, asked for a supervisor, would not connect me to one, only when we received e-mail confirmation did it state no cancellation, their site is customer friendly and quite deceptive, a very bad experience all around.
Answered all questions quickly and precisely. They book for thousands of hotels worldwide. And matches all our needs. A stress less booking process. Bravo Reservations.com!
Thought I was booking on the hotel web site. They say nothing about their bogus $14.99 booking charge - buried someplace in the "terms and conditions".
I booked 2 nights at a red roof inn thinking I was using their corporate website. I was redirected to this trash company who stole $80 from me when I needed to check out early.
While on the road in the middle of no where, using my phone to search for a hotel, I accidentally used reservations.com, thinking that I was on line with the actual hotel. After putting in all my info, I clicked next thinking it would show me a summary page with the itemized charges. I. e. Hotel room, taxes, etc. and the grand total. Nope! My room went from $115 to $152!
I called reservations com immediately and asked why the huge difference. First, the guy with a heavy accent said it was the taxes. $37 in taxes? No, he admitted: $22 taxes and $14.95 in service fee. WTH! I told him to cancel, and he said no because it was stated in the fine print. It is not on the same page, you have to click it to see it. He laughed at me and said there was nothing he could do.
I tried to dispute it with my CC company. I got the $14.95 back, but the rest I had to pay even though we didn't go to that hotel, because you know, hotel is always right blah blah blah.
Bottom line: DON'T use reservations.com and book directly or with an honest, reputable third party.
Booked a reservation today (12/30/22) at 11:54am CST, Called at 11:59am CST to cancel due to error.
Only to be told Each room in this reservation is refundable for a limited time: Cancellations before 12/29/2022, 11:59 PM (America/Chicago) are fully refundable. Bookings cancelled after 12/29/2022, 11:59 PM (America/Chicago) are subject to a fee of 437.76 USD. Bookings cancelled after 01/01/2023, 11:59 PM (America/Chicago) are non-refundable. There is no refund for no-shows or early checkouts. Our USD 28.49 service fee is non-refundable.
Make it Make Sense. I booked on 12/30/22 and you have to cancel by 12/29/22,11:59pm and subject to a $437.76 fee. They are the WORST.
My husband and I travel extensively. We recently had to cut a month long travel short due to both of testing positive to Covid. We supplied Rerservatins.com with a Covid Diagnosis on a Doctor's Letterhead. Yet they refused to refund our reservations. However Expedia, Airbnb, Windjammer Cruises, and Whale Watchers Excursions all refunded our reservations, and wished us a speedy recovery. We are very disappointed and will NEVER book with Reservations.com again. They are an insult to the Travel Industry.
Sincerely,
Vickie Koliwaske
I made a reservation using my phone because I was moving and did not have computer. They charge your credit card as soon as you book which was something that I was not use to and didn't realize it occurred. No confirmation e-mail with cancellation policy ( and by the way I tried to get one on the website no luck. Did chat and they would not provide me with one either) just a text from a random number stating that my reservation was confirmed with hotel name and date but nothing stating from reservations.com. I actually had to add on two days so I went searching for my reservation. Nothing in e-mail. Phone text with no leads as to who I booked with. Checked into hotel two days earlier and told them that I needed to cancel the reservation that I had on Wednesday and they stated that I did not have a reservation for Wednesday to Friday so I felt I was ok.
Check Visa statement mid month and found out that my reservation was with Reservations.com. Contacted them explained situation, sent paid receipt and told I was to hear back from them in 7 to 10 business days. Initial contact 17 July called back 15 August because I heard nothing. Filed a fraudulent claim with credit card company today.
Best advice is to stay away.
I thought I was making a reservation through the hotel site. The person who answered kept talking very fast and I could not understand him at all. I had to ask him to repeat literally everything. He actually lied to me and told me there was only one room left and it was one of the more expensive rooms. That turned out not to be true. After he gave me my total, which I knew was outrageous, he then told me that I would also have to pay a $40 fee for a deposit. Isn't that what the credit card number is for? When I told him that I could not afford the deposit amount, he put me on hold for several minutes. I don't know if he was trying to get that reduced so I would keep the booking. I am sure they work off commission. I ended up hanging up without him coming back to the line, And when I went through a different service, I found out that there were several rooms available at a lower price. So he lied to me about it being the very last room and I had to act quickly in order to reserve it. What a scam. Do not use these people under any circumstances!
Do NOT use this site to book your hotel rooms. They prey on people online and trick them into thinking they are the hotel's actual site. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND CHARGE U excess fees on top of being 'NON-REFUNDABLE.'@RESERVATIONSCOM ARE THIEVES.
Whenever I purchase anything and there is a fee associated, I make sure I understand it. In the case of booking my hotel on reservations.com, I was aware of the non-refundable $19.99 fee. However, since the hotel is closed due to COVID19 I think the right thing for reservation. Som to do is to refund the fee or put it on my account to use later. But no... they are keeping it. It's there prerogative to do that. However, when it's time for me to rebook it won't be through reservations.com. And the time after that... no. And the time after that... no. They will never see another cent from me. Mahesh Chaddah should be ashamed of himself. I will support the companies that did the right thing during 5e pandemic and do everything in my power to take away business form companies that were greedy.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
