The agent booked us at the wrong hotel. Now they are saying their cancellation policy is non refundable! They are foreigners and very difficult to understand! They would gladly cancel our hotel stay at the wrong hotel but still insisted it was non refundable! Plus they charge a $15 fee to book the hotel that they don't mention to tell u!
Although Reservations has a no cancellation, non-refundable policy, they were considerate enough to review and consider our cancellation request, due to health and extenuating circumstances. It took a while, but they came through.
I fought tooth and nail to get my full refund back. Thank goodness for Paypal(the most awesome company I have ever dealt with). I called and emailed and called and emailed. I am quite relentless when I have been wronged. It took over a month, but it was credited back to my Paypal a couple days ago.
This company was listed on the actual website for the hotel. It was not until the end of the annoying phone call that I figured out that this is a stupid travel agency type "service". They are ver sneaky. They did not give me my full refund. They kept $15. I will not give up. I will get my full refund. It is the principle of the matter more than the $15. When you call to get a refund, they put you on a very static -hard- to -hear line. Don't give up. Call the original number you dialed to get through for your refund. My room should've been $65 but by the time Reservations.com got through with me, they took $95. I got $80 back so far.
Do not think of using these crooks for a hotel reservation. Most of their reservations are nonrefundable and if you avoid this trap you still get socked with huge and undisclosed fees. In y case, the same room was available on the hotel's website for significantly less. They label the fees as "taxes and fees" but the taxes are just a small amount of what they tack on to the room rate. Upon cancelling, they take 30 days to process a refund even though they charged my card within seconds.
Thought I was on the hotel site but was duped by their ad. Booked room and realized immediately and called to cancel because of excess fees and they refused to cancel it. The hotel told me they (Reservations.com) could cancel it but choose not to. Avoid this company at all cost!
Reservation near out of town hospital was non refundable. Hospital changed time of admission making it necessary to move same reservation to next night. Refused to accommodate this change regardless of obvious; they were losing nothing.
I agreed to seventeen hun dred 88 dollars they charged my card 2600 something 688.82 in taxes 300 other fees i cancelled Immediately they said no refunds but cancelled room said still closed because covid but would give me 800 back through PayPal wtf? I disputed with card and investigation screw scam company
Beware... They make it look like you are dealing directly with the hotel website, but, in fact you are in a reservation.com website & nowhere is it mentioned that you will pay extra fees to reservations.com. Also, you will not see a breakdown of what you are paying for until after you pay. If you are a Canadian, staying in a Canadian hotel, you will find out on your statement that you are being charged U.S. funds. Good luck with the customer service in the Philippines. Fat chance that they will do anything for you. Total Scam!
I too experienced an additional charge of $14.99 that is hidden in the acceptance small print. This is very misleading! When I called the person told me if I would have called the 800 number instead of an online booking the charge would not have been applied. Terrible. Will not use them again.
I booked a room on reservations.com to attend a conference in San Jose. I arrived at the hotel and was informed that the hotel was booked to capacity and my reservation was canceled by reservations.com. I never received a single email, text message, or phone call. After an hour on hold, I was informed they had to cancel my reservation and I was on my own to find a hotel in the middle of the night after an all day flight into town. Horrible customer service, I will never book a room through this worthless service again!
Worst business ever. Make yourselves look like the actual hotel and the customer doesn't realize until they confirm the reservation that they got scammed! Would be one thing if you actually charged what the actual hotel did or hell even gave a deal like most reservation companies - but no - you have to disguise yourselves and charge Canadians what the hotel charges only for them to discover your hidden agenda that it was actually in US denomination and we are out hundreds of dollars more than the actual hotel would have charged. Wouldn't even refund the difference 2 minutes after the booking was complete and 3 weeks before the reservation was actually scheduled.
It is definitely not easy to look for a hotel in a city you're going to be staying in for the first time. We were told to try out Reservations.com, which we did and just as we were told, we got a listing of hotels to choose from. We picked one best suited to our itinerary and budget!
This company is an absolute RIP-OFF! The cancellation literally 10-minutes after I booked the room was more expensive than the room rate alone... In addition, their customer service was incredibly rude. I would sleep in the wood before ever booking with this company again.
Scam website disguised itself as the hotel. Charged me extra $19.99 service fee and double the taxes that the hotel told me they charge. I paid them $200 for a room that would have cost me $130 if I booked directly with the hotel.
I clicked on a google ad thinking I was booking with a hotel directly. After going through the booking process, I noticed a $14,99 difference in what was on the email receipt and what was on the booking summary page. After some research, I found that they charge a 'booking' fee that is hidden in the fine print about their no fee changes and cancellations. It was definitely not disclosed. I called, stayed on hold for about 30 minutes and was then promised a refund. The next day I got an email saying my refund was denied. Don't repeat my mistake... avoid this questionable company.
The moment my husband told me to book a hotel for our upcoming anniversary I didn't waste any time! Went to Reservations.com to find just the right place for us and my husband was glad I got a good deal on the price too!
We checked in before a wedding we were going to that evening, upon our return around 10:30 pm there was no parking spots, myself and another couple coming back that evening headed to the front desk to ask where we could park and were told the only option was to go to a sister hotel down the street and see if we could park there, that was not an option seeing how we'd have to walk back in the dark in an area we knew nothing about. We parked on the street. Not happy...
There was not a final review of what the total cost would be as when i purchased there was a different total than what was shown in the beginning. Almost another $100.00 added for hidden fees. Bad misrepresentation. Would not use this site again.
Did not disclose any of the fees that were charged to my credit card. I will be disputing this with my bank because of course customer service is next to impossible to get through. If you are calling to reserve a hotel however they answer right away. The agent that did my reservation over the phone did not disclose anything to me about the 14.99 fee and when I tried to get a refund he lied and put that the reservation was booked online. Calling the BBB and the SOS ASAP. RIP OFF!
I was attempting to book at a Hampton Inn, and the first hit APPEARS to be Hampton, but is actually this site, reservations.com. The address reads hamptoninn.com/reservations...
As soon as I got the email, (minutes later) I called the customer service number to cancel. The lady reversed the charges, and I specifically asked if the entire amount would be refunded, if I would incur some charge for "using" their site. She assured me I would be refunded the entire amount. Well, surprise, surprise, I have a $14.99 charge still on my credit card. I feel I was robbed of this amount, and while it is not much for only 1 booking 1 time, imagine how much money they are making for the many others who do not realize it is being stolen straight out of their pockets.
Reservations.com should be ashamed.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
