BEWARE!Wanted to stay at my favorite hotel. The website tried to trick me into booking with them. Instead of Canadian dollars the showed US dollars! SCAM. Website made it look legit until I checked the policies because the total amount included 50% tax on top of the USD dollar amount and it didn't make sense. BEWARE
I wish I could give them a zero. Buyer beware and use caution if you do use them. They use trickery when booking. If you look closely when booking, the prices constantly change. Of course, they change in the upward direction. I ended up calling them about it and it was like "let's make a deal". Well... I got myself a deal or so I thought... fee after fee after fee. Then, try cancelling that reservation and getting a refund. (It's easier to have lunch with grizzly bears.) The reservation CLEARLY states you can cancel up to 48 hours before arrival date without penalty (except for a $19.99 service fee & the original $19.99 booking fee). Plus, if you happen to get "Jay" on the phone, immediately hang up and call again. Trust me on this one. He's horribly rude and extremely difficult to deal with. Not sure if he was having a bad day, but canceling a reservation should not cause anger out of a rep.
Booked through said company (big mistake) and had to cancel a few hours after making reservations.
Spoke with representative during cancellation and was assured on 2 seperate occasions that no penalties would be incurred as a result of the cancellation.
Was charged for 1 night stay. Called customer support and they refuse to reverse the charges due to the fact that they cannot find the recording of the conversation I had with the employee.
Even provided them with a date stamped screenshot of the call log and still deny I called.
Fraudulent company. DO NOT USE THERE SERVICES...
I booked a nonrefundable reservation. I admit that I knew that. But the policy says "non-refundable for cancellations or no shows." I only needed to cancel because I didn't know my daughter was booking for the rooms needed, at the exact same time that I did……we double booked! I called and explained the situation and they basically said too bad, you're $#*! out of luck! I admit that I knew they said non refundable but I thought maybe they would take into consideration the circumstances but they didn't budge…. Even a partial refund would've been nice. I will never use reservations.com again, and will make sure to tell everyone I know the same thing. And by the reviews, I am not the only one who thinks this is a HORRIBLE company.
Their non-refundable charge is hidden in the small print. This is a SCAM and even if you cancel a reservation within minutes of making it, you will not get all your money back! DO NOT use this website!
While making a reservation on Fairfield Inn and Suites website, site autocorrected to Gainesville, Georgia instead of Gainesville, Florida. When I printed out reservation I noticed discrepancy and immediately called and was told by reservations.com that it was nonrefundable. I called hotel directly, explained error and cancelled(even got cancellation number). Full charge came on my credit card of $470.91. Called Marriott directly and was put in touch with hotel too get refund, which they gladly would do. Only problem is that there was never a payment made to them either. Reservations.com kept there booking fee, the hotel charges AND state fees and taxes.
The site makes itself appear to be the Hotel Site. Room rates are quoted but no disclosure is made as to the additional $14.99 booking fee Reservations.com is tacking on to what appears to be an Expedia booking (i. E., they book through Expedia and charge $14.99). I only discovered the $14.99 charge after my card had been run. I immediately called customer support and received a third party call center who had no contact information for Reservations.com, thought they work for them. They cancelled my reservation but claimed that he $14.99 was non refundable. This is bordering on fraud. No disclaimer, no contact number, no recourse. The Third Party call center said that they would request a refund from Reservations.com. I've received no follow up. Shame on this site. If my charge is not removed, I'll be reporting to the BBB. I've already disputed with my CC company.
Gave date and time I would arrive at hotel, but the hotel was closed during that time. No fun, had to pay for another room at another hotel. The email confirmation had the check in time as 10pm even though I said I would arrive at mid-night.
Tried to get a refund. One week later was turned down. Was forced to go through the credit card company. Terrible service.
This website is very tricky designed... it resemble Bookings.com but it's very far from having services like them.
First of all, I ooked from Canada for staying at a hotel in Canada. They list prices without the mention of which kind of dollars... US or Canadian. When the transaction goes through, only after completing the payment it tells you that it's unrefundable and that it's charged in US dollars although I'm in Canada.
When I called trying to get.my money back, they did not agree under any circumstances to refund the money saying that the hotel I booked my stay with doesn't allow it... which is a lie! Any hotel allows you to cancel until 24 hours before the date of your stay... and all I mentioned above was more than a month before my trip.
Very poor service, tricking people into reserving on their website and without the possibility of any refund, even partial... UNACCEPTABLE!
They are the worst company ever my mom canceled her room because her car broke down and they kept all her money. 500 dollars. I understand a cancelation fee but keeping all is wrong. On the website it says if you cancel 48 hours ahead that it would be refunded. That isn't true she tried 1 week ahead.
I called and set up my reservation for a weekend to visit our daughter. Arrived at the hotel at 7:30pm tried to check in and found I had no room. The hotel was booked. When I called reservation.com their response was so you didn't get charged for the room and hung up on me. Called 2 times without any satisfaction. Apparently onc they book you, your on your own. Stay away from Reservation.com
Be very careful when booking hotels. We thought we were booking directly with hard rock hotel Orlando but turns out it was guestreservations.com which is linked with expedia! Gave us the rate we had seen online and was told there would be tax too which we assumed would be the Florida state 6% + 6% room rate! We rec'd email confirmation 30 secs after hanging up and had been charged $168 (34% tax) immediately called to cancel and was told we would get no refund! After several calls and lots of stress whilst on holiday we were cancelled the payment directly with our credit card company and booked directly through a reputable site. Be very careful when booking as this site has several redirects online!
I booked a room accidentally using reservations.com, thinking it was the actual hotel website. A 110 a night room costs 146.60 apparently, after taxes and fees, but I did not see that until after I booked. I will avoid reservations.com at all costs and be extra careful next time.
Last night I called what I thought was a direct number to Hilton Hotels. It ended up being reservations.com. I booked two rooms for which I was immediately charged and never received a confirmation email. When I called the hotel, they had no record of my reservation. When I called back to reservations.com, they had no record of my reservation despite the fact that I was able to provide the exact amount and times of my debit card being billed. Wyndham hotels are priced reasonably enough I know but I wanted to see if I could save a few more by going through Reservations.com. True enough, I did! I stayed at the Wyndham Riverwalk and enjoyed my vacation in San Antonio.
Check your fine print. Don't think you can book and then cancel in a reasonable time because they won't let you out. Go direct to your hotel to book to keep your cancelation rights. Reservations.com is horrible. Zero or minus stars.
This Company is a FRAUD. They gave me a balance and later charge me a bigger balance. Do not trust them. They will rip you off. Don't book anything with reservation.com. Please save your money and stay away from them. DO no trust this company because you will regret it. They are their and con artist. Stay away. Learn from my mistake!
reservations.com helped me book a room for my wedding. That was a big risk in the beginning, but trust me their services took me less time compared to searching all over the Internet for a good room and price
I was ripped off. Got to Quality Inn Motel in Lumberton, NC and there was no reservation. Efforts to clarify with Reservations.com I was told they did not have my name. Yet they had my credit card number!. Guess what, my credit card was charged for the motel room plus a $14.99 fee. Can you believe that? Also, like others I thought I was booking a stay directly with the Hampton Inn only to find out that I had booked with the Quality Inn across the street from Hampton Inn! How do they get away with this? Apparently, there is no way to appeal this rip off.
When I looked at my credit card statement online, I discovered that I got charged $14.95 for booking. I had no idea that I wasn't dealing with the hotel when I made my reservation. I also found no information indicating that there would be a charge. I have read the Terms and Service and Policy sections. I didn't even get a confirmation from these people and had to call them to get it and the confirmation number. A while later when I called the hotel directly to ask a question, they didn't even have a reservation for us. Learning this I figured there was something wrong and I immediately used the confirmation number "reservations.com" gave me and cancelled. I don't know if they are real or scammers but I certainly don't want to do business with a company that isn't transparent in their charges and fees.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at support@reservations.com so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
