Don't use this company. I just paid a 15 dollar service fee, which by the way was not CLEARLY STATED. Called their customer service to complain and $#*! got smart with me. How dare you speak to a customer like some damm dog. Stay away from this site
One. They charged me in US dollars when they advertised it as CAD. 2. I asked for a refund two minutes after I booked because I booked the wrong days…they said no and I'd lose all my money. I asked if I could move the dates (which they have no policy on) and they said I'd have to lose all my money from my prior booking, pay the penalty and then book again. What a joke. NEVER use this website.
I booked a hotel on this website yesterday. I was redirected from the actual hotels website but didn't realize it until I had already made the booking and saw how much more the cost was then by booking directly on the hotels website. That was the first indication this website is a scam. I immediately called and cancelled the reservation. I received a cancellation email right away. Then today I saw a charge for $19.99 in my bank account. When I called customer service the rep argued with me saying it's a non refundable fee, and refused to put me through to a supervisor. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. Book directly on the hotels website!
I had to cancel my reservations a week early due to bed bugs and noisy hotel. Reservations.com would not refund my money. They are theifs, crooks, just to mention a few things. I'm out $1300 because of the company. I had no idea that I was even reserving through them. They piggy back off of websites. Nothing but a bunch of theifs. To make matters worse they are in Thailand. Never use them. Complete crimminals. If I could leave a negative star review I would. Customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. They barely speak English. Not to mention that at one point there were barking dogs in the background. It was probably what they were going to have for dinner. Do yourself a favor and use some other company. Please tell all your friends how horrible this company is.
Do NOT book with this company. They quote a much lower rate per night, and AFTER you pay, you receive an invoice with taxes and service fees that jack up the rate to almost double. I had to wrestle with the agent in customer service to get a full refund. They use sleazy tactics to get you to book a room and sleazy tactics to keep at least a service fee.
Like many others I thought I was booking on the Hotel's website. They quoted me a totally refundable charge of $250.00 for one night. I became suspicious when they demanded the entire cost upfront and I received the confirmation which seemed inadequate and phony looking. I called the hotel directly and they quoted me a room charge of $160.00 for the same night. They also said they do not require the entire fee upfront. I called Reservations.com to cancel the reservation and they assured me of the refund within 24 hours. I asked if there were any "Hidden" charges and after a lot of probing they admitted a processing charge of $19.99. I Insisted they refund this charge saying I would go directly to my bank and dispute the charge as well as my lawyer. I told them it would be cheaper for THEM to refund the $19.99. I did receive 2 emails cancelling the hotel and refunding the $19.99. Now I will have to wait and see if my credit card reflects this.
I thought i was booking through he hotel and twice confirmed the price and that it was in Canadian dollars. When i hung up and checked my credit card i was charged triple of what i was told and when i called back they would not refund all my money. Thankfully I deal with a wonderful bank that will help with this dispute.
Made a reservation for my son'so college graduation in 2016. I received confirmation with the correct date in 2016 but the website booked me for 2015 not 2016. I was charged for a no-show and had to fight to get my money back! Rip off! Stay away!
This is a great hotel located outside of downtown Mississauga. Positive points:
1. Very clean, nice, and professional.
2. It is not expensive. I pay around CAD100 per night.
3. Parking is right in front of the hotel.
4. The room is big, clean, and convenient. There is a coffee machine with two paper cups in the room.
- Negative points:
1. Because of COVID the bar is closed.
2. The spa in the swimming pool is also closed. The swimming pool does not have towels.
3. You have to deposit $250. They will refund this money when you check out but still, it annoyed me.
4. It would be nice if there is a kettle in the room too.
I strongly dislike the way this company handles business. I was attempting to book a room for New Years Eve at a local Casino, and I will admit I didn't realize I had gone off the local website and was redirected to reservations.com - thinking I was on the casino site a final question popped up did I want rewards, of course I'm thinking it's for a players card and clicked yes. The next thing I knew I had reservations for 3 nights at a hotel in New Jersey... wow. They instantly put a charge of over $700 on my charge card. It took me over 2 hours by phone and email to get it straightened out. Of course they charged my credit card a $14.99 fee for cancelling. Geez what a lousy way to do business. I will never use this company. It's not that I can't afford a lousy $15 but it's the idea of it.
I travel a lot for business and sometimes I just spend a day or two for an out of town trip. Reservations.com has really helped me a great deal in finding airport hotels. I usually go for airport hotels to save me the hassle of missing flights.
Do not book with Reservations.com. So many hidden fees they dont tell you about and I tried to change the date and they wouldn't allow it! They are only good at taking your money!
Horrible customer service! Do not boom with the!
Worst ever tried to book a hotel room put all the info in and hit submit it said not able to book at this time but still hit my card for 20 bucks went top the hotel site directly and booked the room for 40 bucks cheaper
This company doesn't disclose that they are NOT the actual hotel. I'm totally disgusted and frustrated that they tricked me into an extra $100 more than the actual hotel charges. I was out of town for a funeral and this was something I really didn't need at that time. Like kicking someone when they're already down. They should be put out if business. Check the BBB they have scammed so many people. Never again. I'll just wait until I $#*!ing get to my destination and talk to the front desk my self.
I do not recommend using this company to book a hotel. They booked me the wrong resort in Vegas, so when I arrived at the place I was supposed to go, they sent me to a different place that was not what I had booked. When I called them, they would not make any changes because they time to do that had already passed. They sent me to a different place that a lot checked and charged me the sans thing. Customer service is somewhere out of the USA cause you can understand the people that answers the phone.
They did not tell me about the $15 service fee and they charged me 24% tax, when the total should have been 13%. So a $109 hotel room cost $150! When I called to cancel, they would not refund the service fee, but after raising a stink they said they'd waive it as a courtesy, IF I kept the reservation. When I told them they are overcharging the tax and I wanted to cancel anyway, they lied to me about what the tax was and then once again couldn't refund the service fee. So far I have not received the cancellation notice they said they sent, so I guess I'm going to have to take it up with my credit card company. Went to hotel chain website and got same room for a total of $111, with the correct tax charged!
Taxes and various ridicules charges and fees total up the cost by 49% above advertised room rate. 19.99 was not refundable. Spoke to woman in India to cancel reservations. Service fee of 19.99 not refundable. Website is deceiving and appears to be the hotel. But in reality is third party scam. Direct contact with hotel reservations saved me $50.00 per night. Hotel informed me that many people are taken by this scam. I had to give 1 star rating as it is reqired to list review. Reservations.com actually rates negative stars.
I just booked through reservations.com, and I saved a lot of money. Also, if you make a flight with one stop, try to have connection with 3 or 4 hours long because customs and security may make you wait a long line.
I am my family's go to when it comes to doing things online. Naturally when they planned a vacation in Hawaii I was tasked to book a hotel for the whole family. Thanks to Reservations.com I got that done in no time!
I was booking in a hurry, so of course I see the hotels name and click on it not realizing it was a third party site (Reservations.com). Somehow I seemed to have missed any sign that it wasn't the hotels actual site, and never noticed that they were going to charge a 19.99 non-refundable fee, which actually ended up costing me a few dollars extra. No biggy about the money, but I hate when a site seems to be trying to pass themselves off as somebody else. I realize it's super common these days, but still rubs me wrong, and I'll be double checking in the future to make sure I never use Reservations.com again.
