I wish I had read these SiteJabber reviews sooner! I unknowingly made a hotel reservation through reservations.com. They imitated the hotel's web site. I simply had no clue it WASN'T the hotel's web site. I was charged in excess of what the hotel normally charges and, in addition, paid reservations.com a $15 fee for handling the booking! The fee is non-refundable even after canceling the reservation! They also state that it takes 30 days for my cancellation refund to be returned to my credit card.
Just stay away from these people. They have no customer service to speak of (merely an automated system), there's no listing of their management personnel for filing a complaint, no address that I could find. They deserve ZERO stars.
I was so stupid to think this is the hotel website. They charge me extra $90 FEE. It is totally a scam!
This company is a ripoff that will and did charge me, but will not send me a receipt. Filing a complaint with the credit card company. Complaint same as many others charge you but will not give you a receipt or a phone number to even call. A one star rating is higher than they deserve. JC North Carolina
The customer service from this company is ridiculous. They refused to give me a copy of the receipt from my hotel charge. As most companies who have travel policies, I needed a copy ALL charges on my credit card for expenses. When I called customer service to receive a copy of my charges, they refused to send me a receipt stating, we cannot do that I apologize, the manager then told me the same thing. She admitted they have NO EMAIL system even for the internal company. Nor could she send me a copy from her personal email. She then stated she couldn't even send me a document confirming our conversation so I could prove where the charge came from. Only offered to give me a case number. What is my accounting manager supposed to call the 1-800 number and ask for the recording of the case number, come on, NO!
Don't book through this site... EVER!
Doubled booked me and when I attempted to cancel the booking would NOT refund the whole amont. I too mistakely used them and when you check out they have hidden charges. DO NOT USE reservations.com
I accidentally used them for a reservation that I had to change I have to go through hoops to get it changed and then they say they won't refund me. Do not give them any business.
Same as all the other reviewers. DECEPTIVE, DECEPTIVE, DECEPTIVE. I was stupid and did not notice that this was not the hotel's website. I made the reservation for $85 and was charged $30 more with a $14.99 nonrefundable fee. Found out if I had gone to the hotel website, it would have been $20 cheaper. I have learned my lesson. This is a HORRIBLE website and ripping everyone off. DO NOT USE THEM. All of us agree. I won't be this stupid again.
I received an email confirmation stating the total amount my card would be charged including taxes and fees. Thank God Discover emails me when shady charges come through because reservations.com overcharged me by $215 more than the price per the email confirmation. When I called, Liz the supervisor stated that there was a "system glitch" and that the amount per the email was wrong. She said she would credit the $215, but I cancelled the entire reservation and reserved through the hotel directly. Shady shady shady!
I am glad I am not the only tard out there that got ripped off by these CROOKS, I to was duped by a redirection to this awful place. I will never ever book through these people again. Worst service I have ever seen and unlike most of the reviews they will not REFUND any of my booking.
DIRTY Awful people. I really hope this helps to put this joke out of business.
In Dec 2014, I booked a hotel room through their site, thinking it's the OFFICIAL hotel website (somehow when their web address came up, the hotel name was part of address... something like reservation-peppermill-hotel.com, kind of tricky). Once I realized the booking was not directly from the hotel, and the hotel had better options on their own website, I cancelled my booking from reservations.com. They withheld $14.99 from the refund because it's "non-refundable". The trouble is that this $14.99 was not listed separately in the charges. Had I known about it, I would not have proceeded with the booking. I complained to a supervisor, who said she will give me a refund of $14.99. And she gave me a reference # for it. Sounds great except it's been four months since I talked to her. When I called back, they gave me a lot of run-around and excuses (like they can't find my booking because it's older than 90 days). Scam! $14.99 may not be much. But it has costed their credibility. So book it at your risk.
Fast forward to Jun 2016 (1.5 year later), they just emailed me to apologize and offer to refund the $14.99, IF I would REMOVE my review. Well, too little too late. I gave them 5 months to correct their mistake, before I posted my review. I was more than reasonable. Bottom line, I will definitely avoid this site.
I booked twice a room thinking I'm in the website of the hotel. Then I receive in my credit card a booking from Reservations.com and separate fee! I call to the number on the credit card charge, first they answer Expedia, then the pass me with someone else. I ask them to refund me, they see they don't return fee. I tell them I never went to your website, and they told me they reserve for the hotel. This is a scam. The second time I did it again, and again they charged me from Reservation. Com. I informed the hotel. This is crazy. Call to the hotel direct!
I attended a wedding in New Orleans. Wedding party had a special code. I thought that I was booking through Hotel's official website. Turns out, google directed me to reservations.com. They acted like they were the hotel. When asked about the wedding party's discount, they said all rooms had been taken, which apparently wasn't true.
So I booked. I went to site week of the trip. Reservation.com had exact same hotel rooms in same hotel for much cheaper. They would not give me the new rate, which was being offered by their site. Unbelievable.
They did not reveal booking fee. They showed amount of total charge on emailed reservation, then when they sent confirmation, after they had charged my credit card, they had added an additional $14.99 for booking fee. Fee was not disclosed upfront. Called and they said if I cancelled, they retain the fee anyway! Horrible!
I was appalled to discover that this site billed my credit card for an unauthorized transaction - a booking fee - which I did NOT approve. When I asked for a refund they claim that I was asked for authorization which was NOT evident. It would have been cheaper to book through the hotel directly.
I booked through them only to realize that I could not get an invoice that could be submitted for expensing my business trip. How more ridiculous can you get... Avoid at all costs and their customer service is horrible. Are they a fly by night operator?
I had reservation n i fund out the price wasn't the same in the site i canceled in the same time i fount they charge me booking fees only this site charge booking fee
We used reservations.com to book a 2 week vacay at The Curve Palms Springs. We were charged almost triple what some guest were paying. (others were paying $48,58, we paid $130 and were charged $169 on weekends) This site grabbed our money almost immediately. The Curve Hotel was not a good stay. Dirty Dirty Dirty! I would call this at most a 1/2 star hotel. We are still waiting for a $100 deposit fee refund that was suppose to be returned to us when we checked out. Wow! Why are these places allowed to operate. Unprofessional. They advertise free Wifi - NOT. Noisy music! Had to ask for toilet paper. If you are looking at a place to flop for a night I may consider it. However, never stay at this place for an extended time.
Do not book through reservation.com. They say something over the phone but as soon as they charge you, you receive something else by email. Be Careful. This company is a rip off and all they want is your money. They should be investigated. There is no one to talk or complain. There is no supervisor or a manager and if there is, they are a head thief. JUST BEWARE.! BOOK YOUR HOTEL DIRECTLY FROM HOTEL.
Please do not book through reservation.com. It's a totally rip off. No one has the answer for you and they keep telling you I'm sorry for inconvenient but I can't help you. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ANY THIRD PARTY BOOKING. IF YOU WANT TO BOOK, BOOK IT THROUGH HOTEL.

Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
