Waited 4 days for a toy storage for my daughter and was mailed a Lacquer tray. PB claimed the warehouse messed up and someone else got our order. Then PB said they were out of stock of the item we originally ordered :(
I have spent $10,000.00 at Pottery Barn from Oct 2020 - July 29th 2021. I have bought marble topped tables, a leather chair and ottoman, 3 Baskets, 4 window panels, a shower curtain, oil diffuser, 2 duvet covers and 8 pillows and 8 monogram cups. The tables all had fractured tops, the chair is stiff and uncomfortable. The baskets, as they dried out, cracked and broke. Pottery barn would not swap out or repair or refund the basket. For the tables I was offered $50.00 and the chair they would not even try to help. I bought everything except the notebooks at full price. I highly suggest AVOIDING POTTERY BARN. Go anywhere else.
We purchased a Dearborn reclaimed wood desk for $900 from Pottery Barn. The drawers fell apart and the wood was disintegrated. We were also unhappy because we were unable to return this heavy item to the local store as it was purchased online. Per customer service online and in store are completely separate. It was a stressful process repackaging for UPS pickup.
I bought 40k worth of outdoor furniture and the sectional chair top separated at the top after 1 year and they will not replace or fix it. All merchandise is guaranteed for 30 days, that is it! In addition, I ordered a table that did not come for a year and a half even though it was "in stock". A lot of time on the phone. Very aggravating. Do not buy from Pottery Barn.
The most incompetently run delivery process I've ever encountered. 2 months and countless hours of back and forth between company and shippers - each claiming it's the others problem. No matter how nice the stuff is - it's not worth it!
We bought several pieces of furniture, with a promised delivery in October. They postponed delivery date multiple times, without any explanation. The items appear to be ready since November but they won't deliver or give any explanations. The delivery company they outsource to, Ryder, won't provide any answers and have a messed up system that shows one of the items we paid for as cancelled (it shows as active and at the delivery center in the Pottery Barn site. Have called multiple times, escalated over chat, no one will help. We love the furniture, but the service is really disappointing, we pay a premium for the quality but cannot get it delivered.
I paid $350 for delivery of 5 items, I received 4 of the 5. I had to make several calls for Pottery Barn's mistake and after a month a customer service rep placed a new order. Then I got a notification at 4pm that they would be delivering the next next day but I wasn't available. The delivery service never contacted after that to schedule when I was available. Impossible. If you can't take what you're buying from Pottery Barn, don't buy it. Their delivery service vendors don't care and it wasn't a cheap delivery, $350 isn't cheap in my world. I paid for the product in February and it's the end of June. I was able to get a refund but the time I spent jumping through hoops was a nightmare and I would not want that experience again. Dealing with Pottery Barn was frustrating and time consuming plus they only delivered 80% of my order.
Bought an overpriced dining table that I saved up for. We have never even eaten a meal on it. I went to dust it with a soft cloth as recommended, the cloth caught on a rough spot and pulled a chunk of veneer off ruining the look of the table. Pottery Barn will do nothing to fix it! Dont waste your money on their furniture!
Do not buy anything from this company. I have been on hold for an hour to try to cancel an order because i found the piece on another pottery barn site for less. Finally got a hold of someone and am being told they have no authority to cancel.
Awful Customer Service!
I rue the day six months ago when I ordered a Made to Order king bed from Pottery Barn. Still no product, but they have my money. Two of three parts are in the U.S. I called a few days ago and learned that part three is still overseas. I asked the rep if I had not called would part three still be overseas? Dead silence. Return policy says Made to Order items are not returnable. What if damaged? How I rue that day!
Dont buy the Holman wall mounted wine glass rack; it will eventually fall off your wall and all the glasses in the rack will break. Very poorly designed with inappropriate sized screws to hold the weight of the glasses you see in the product picture. Customer service (to the extent there is any) couldnt care less. This long time Pottery Barn customer is no more. Very disappointing!
I am so sorry to hear your shelf fell! I just sent you a private message with my contact information. I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Brian

I purchased a York sofa and loveseat less than a year ago. I constantly have feathers poking out of the pillows. I open the casing and feathers were everywhere. They replaced them once. Now the second set is doing the same thing and was told this is normal. My fabric is balling up and is now scratchy. Again was told this is normal wear and tear. Please, if your considering purchasing from Pottery Barn, don't. It's not worth the money.
Order several leather dining chairs, one came damaged. Love the chair itself but very disappointed with service and replacement. The delivery men were great, took pictures and submitted a request to have chair replaced. After waiting months I still have not received a replacement. I ordered an additional chair of which the order was cancelled, customer service couldn't give a reason other than the manufacturer cancelled the order. For the price, I am disappointed that I now have no choice but to keep a damaged chair and have no option to order another.
After much deliberation and research, I decided to purchase a sofa from pottery barn thinking that quality would be better than I usually buy. The frame seems to be sturdy but after the first year the cushions look sloppy and sink in where I usually sit. The back cushions also haven't held their shape. So for this reason I would not purchase another one.
Rewards that customers earn are taken/stolen by the company after 180 days. After 5 calls to customer service, several representatives hang up the phone on me. It was impossible to speak to Manager regarding the rewards. I paid Pottery Barn for products purchased in exchange for the products and the rewards. After a few months, they took the rewards back. They don't call the rewards "temporary rewards". The lack of support when I called when trying to get the rewards back was unimaginable. I will never buy another product from this company. They have horrible customer service support.
I was an avid PB shopper obsessed with practically everything the company had to offer. I shopped both online and in store making multiple purchases on a monthly basis. January of 2019 is when it completely went downhill for me. I've had one bad experience after another and at this point I am done with this company. After the first bad experience with an online return and realizing the associates and managers are incapable of problem resolution I gave PB a little break. A few months later I gave them another shot and low and behold more disappointment. Customer service is no help at all, they can only see what I can see when I log into my account and nothing more. I have cancelled my credit card and closed out my account. Pottery Barn has lost a great customer and for their sake I hope they change their ways soon.
I have been trying to reach a supervisor over the last week. I placed an order at the beginning of June because I needed to replace a torn duvet cover before company came. I was told it would be delivered around the middle of June, and now I've been told it will be delivered the end of July. This is absolutely unacceptable. They charge quite a bit for their products, and I thought they were a reputable company. But now I've researched them online and found out that that's not the case at all. They tell you that supervisors are available, and that they will have one reach out to you within 72 hours. But that's not the case.
They also have fraudulent advertising.
Terrible interaction with their furniture division representative. Very poorly trained and not at all professional rude and condescending with my wife. Did not resolve our complaint and when asked to speak with a manager representative hung up the phone. Very unfair business practices. Buyer beware.
We purchased the PB air sofa for a second home which is very lightly used. Loved the look of the sofa, however after less then 8 month use, the frame of the sofa is collapsing, the cushions are flattening out and feathers are poking out of the fabric. Very poorly made. After calling the service line the service rep was beyond rude, told me that she was sorry but the purchase had been made over a year ago, and there was nothing that they could do... and a FAT person must be sitting in the sofa! Really? Why not have warning labels on the furniture explaining that the furniture should only last for one year and please don't have fat people sit on it. Will not likely to either recommend or purchase any furniture from them again. Be forewarned, a good look but that it is not to last. I however had hoped for at least more then one year of use!
I have been waiting months for shelves. Pottery Barn keeps changing delivery date. I HIGHLY recommend buying floating shelves elsewhere. They give you a delivery date, charge your card for that delivery date, and then change the delivery date and re-apply a pending to your card. Mine has racked up. I called customer service today (they were nice but they can't do anything for you) and they informed me over the phone that they were delayed AGAIN for the fifth time to June 9. Extremely poor logistics for the amount of money one pays for Pottery Barn. If you are looking to see your home or area completed- go elsewhere. And if pottery barn is any good and cares to have me edit my review, my order # is 3200 626 694 21
Answer: Same, was told we would have a light first week of October, now December also. I hope they do go under. Don't get me started on the last thing I bought for $999, then the price changed to $499. So angry, will NEVER shop there again.
Answer: We have the same problem. Our couch is two years old and we will need to replace it this year. Back Cushions are rumpled and seat cushions have a ton of little piling.
