Do not buy this pile of garbage chair. It is over $500 and lasted less than 1 year. The construction is very substandard. It would be okay for a $99 chair that you trash after a year, but the list price is $800! The welds on the steel between the base and the seat were incorrectly and incompetently done and the piece failed within one year due to the substandard construction and use of substandard materials. Pottery Barn's response? Sorry it is unusable, but the warranty was 6 months. Please recycle it rather than placing it in the dumpster. Would you like 10% off another chair from us?
I ordered a headboard and bed frame in January 2022 which they split into two deliveries. The metal bed frame which literally fit into a really small box took 3 months and two attempts to deliver it… the first time my delivery got cancelled through a text after waiting all day and they rescheduled it for the next day without even reaching out to me or asking if that would work for me. They claimed their truck broke down and how could Pottery Barn have just one truck that delivers, really? I was supposed to receive my head board this morning with a scheduled delivery time and when the truck arrived my head board was not loaded on the truck from the warehouse so I stayed on hold for 20 minutes with customer service without any resolution and no head board. I can't cancel the order because it's a custom order but I am cancelling ever doing any kind of business with Pottery Barn that requires a delivery.
HORRIFIC! Customer service is awful. I ordered a bed a year ago- they lost it and didn't reimburse me until January. Then I tried to order a different style and they delivered headboard and footboard twice and no slats or side rails. It's been a total disaster. Don't bother buying from them
Do not buy anything that needs to be delivered. Worst customer service. Waited months to find out order was never processed. Other piece on back order but never informed. They will not allow you to speak directly to a manager. Lynnfield MA location was not able to help as they knew less than we did as the customer. Over priced, horrible service. Take your hard earned money to another business that has customer service as their top priority.
I purchased a Hart Round Reclaimed Wood Pedestal Extending Dining Table last year (6/21). Since then the table has lost screws, the leaf no longer extends properly and the wood is chipping which has become a hazard for my children. I contacted customer service and was told that because I was passed the 1 year mark there was nothing they could do to help. I explained that the table had starting falling apart months ago but I was unable to contact sooner because my babies were in the hospital and that took priority. I never wanted a replacement, only someone to come out and repair. In my opinion the table is a lemon and for almost $2000 it should not be in the shape it's in. I am beyond disappointed not only with the product, but more so with the company's lack of responsibility or compassion for being unwilling to help. I will not be shopping at this company again.
I got a sofa and love seat Oct. 2017.
As of Aug. 2018 the feathers are flying all over the place.
Cushions have big indentations. This was supposed to be top of the line.
The sofa cost 3099 the love seat 2799 dollar.
Complained my warranty expired.
I looked how long a sofa is supposed to last, 7-15 years.
Not so from Pottery Barn. I can not even give one star.
I shop at Pottery Barn quite often for home accents/bedding and their quality is superb! I had an issue with a comforter about a year ago and they replaced it without any hassle. Definitely a company you want to deal with.
I love to buy stuff from pottery barn, but service is horrible. I had to wait for delivery of multiple items forever. Never open credit card from them, will charge you all kind of fees you are not aware. And when you call credit card company to complain they simply say we have no idea, call pottery barn customer service. Products come broken, stretched and takes months to get new one. Customer wait time can take forever and they can just hang up on you.
I ordered a dining table, it arrived damaged. Reordered a second and third time and they were damaged as well. My experience with Pottery Barn is frustrating and unpleasant. Bad quality, no communication, staff inefficiency, no solution. I just want my money back and after more than a year I can't get it.
They sell stuff and promise delivery in 3-5 business days. And then they delay shipping for weeks or even months. And still they keep selling the item on their site, promising new unsuspecting customers the same 3-5 day delivery time. This has happened repeatedly to me. They are absolutely awful. Dishonest.
We paid over $14,000 for our furniture and it already looks old. My sectional is pilling and uncomfortable. My marble hall table is cracked. Our chair is pilling. Not worth it to buy from pottery barn. The shipping is outrageous! They quality has gotten worse. They are using cheaper materials that don't hold up.
We purchased the Chatham patio collection, We spent over $5,000. We recently had to call them in order to purchase replacement wheels for the chaise lounge. They do not offer replacement parts, I found that ridiculous and alarming. After about a year the wheels broke. This was PB's response. SO please do NOT waste your money;
" I am so sorry to learn that you never received the new wheels and that an update was not provided. Upon review of the issue, I found that a new shipment of wheels never arrived from the manufacturer, and they are no longer available. I sincerely apologize for the disappointment this has caused.
May I suggest that you check with your local hardware store? They may be able to provide a replacement part that will stabilize the chaise"
While I like their actual products, they have a serious delivery problem. I paid a high delivery fee because they advertise arrival for Christmas. Well, now it's the day AFTER Christmas and still no delivery! I've learned that this company is unreliable! Never again!
If you expect to receive the furniture you ordered don't order from this incompetent useless company! Customer service tell you nothing but lies if and when your call is answered. If I could give a negative star rating I would!
We purchased a table from Pottery Barn and received it in February. By April, the table was showing discoloration and the finish appeared to be coming off. We contacted Pottery Barn as we wanted to return the table. They said they would not return or exchange. Based on this, we will not be purchasing from Pottery Barn again and were very unhappy and surprised with their lack of customer service for such a huge company.
I am currently on the phone with customer service for the 4th or 5th time TODAY trying to get an update on an order placed in November 2020. The expected delivery time frame was 5 weeks at the time of order; it's been three months. Delivery window has been pushed 3 times since, and each time I call I'm told that it's being delivered by an outsourced hub, my order is sitting at a warehouse, and there is nothing they can do about it until that hub calls to schedule delivery. My call is never answered when I am transferred to (or I call the number I was given for) the hub. They should take some responsibility for a) the reliability of their local delivery service, b) the delivery estimates they post/provide and c)how and when they are willing to compensate their customers for their failures. The bottom line is that I would have ordered another product if I had know it was going to take this long. Customer service is a complete joke. Will never order furniture from PB again.
I ordered a TV stand with a fire place. Actually measured and discovered the item would not fit in the space I had planned for it. Customer service hung up on me once. Two other calls customer service said they were going to cal me back and never did. It took me 4.5 hours on the phone with one customer service agent to cancel this order. This company is the worst - STAY AWAY!
Purchased a wood outdoor dining table and chairs from PB. After one season the table started to warp. PB refused to repair or replace it claiming it was our fault that we left this outdoor table outdoors exposed to the elements because we allowed it to get wet in the rain and other ridiculous excuses not to stand behind their product. Worst customer service and attitude. Would not buy from them ever again.
I ordered a "Grey Kids Anywhere Chair for my nephew with his name LEVI monogrammed in navy blue". I sent it to him for Christmas. He is 2 years old. When my sister and her husband opened the box they were in disbelief/speechless. As well as everyone else that was at their house for Christmas. I seriously can not even believe that Pottery Barn would mail something that looked so terrible to a customer. It's not just the cover either. The whole entire chair is lopsided. I called customer service, (which I was not rude or frustrated) since it was not the lady who helped me who monogrammed it. She was able to see the picture of it in her system. She said, "It looks like they were sleeping when they monogrammed it" she kind of laughed, however, I dis not think it was funny one bit. She offered to send a new one and I said I wanted a refund and dis not want another one. Then, she had the audacity to ask me to mail the chair back. I'm sorry, call me rude, a $#*! etc. I am.not mailing anything back. First of all, I do not have the time, second, it was not my fault, 3rd it is there fault. In all honesty she should have offered to send a new chair and given me a refund. Wow wow wow! We are still shocked!
In 100 years I would never thought about leaving a bad review for Pottery Barn, but never had to contact Customer Service before. I have had the worst experience with them, and still waiting for the issue to be solve, after 7 calls, 15 representatives and one supervisor, now, waiting for them to call me. It has become a personal issue because companies this big should honor their employees word to their clients. I have been a loyal customer, cardholder and lover of this store for years. Sadly they have shown me their worst now.
Answer: Same, was told we would have a light first week of October, now December also. I hope they do go under. Don't get me started on the last thing I bought for $999, then the price changed to $499. So angry, will NEVER shop there again.
Answer: We have the same problem. Our couch is two years old and we will need to replace it this year. Back Cushions are rumpled and seat cushions have a ton of little piling.
