Pottery Barn used to be reputable. Not anymore. Not in my opinion.
I bought this table, or whatever you'd call it in July of 2020. I haven't used it much because it's unsafe. It's mostly been set in an area where it can't fall over. It has several time and it's very very heavy has landed on my feet, and almost on my cat. It's not stable. I saw today an advertisement for it and it's $200. I believe I paid $180 with a discount. The glass does not stay on the stand. Ridiculous. I'm going to try to find somewhere where I can report it.
Oh and they give you these little bitty three round rubber something to put on the glass that don't even stay on because they're round and the stand is smaller than them. It's crazy.
After waiting nearly a month for two pricey curtain panels, I learned that not only did Pottery Barn mail an empty box to me, but they took it upon themselves to return one of the two panels I ordered for no reason whatsoever. So, even if I can get them to re-send what I ordered, I'd have to wait for a gift card (which may or may not arrive), and use it to order again. They are doing nothing to compensate me for their screw-up or the time I've spent with multiple calls and emails trying to straighten this mess out.
It may have been just an isolated case, but it took us almost a year to get a "faulty finished table" replaced. There were lots of poor communications that took place. We love are table, chairs and stools that we purchased. We have many other Pottery Barn items in our home.
This place is great, I have been going here for my home deco for years! Living room, Bedroom, Bathroom, any room you need, they have the hookup! Anything for Kitchen should go to their affiliate Williams-Sonoma they have all the best gadgets and even food! I can't get enough of these people, customer service is great too! Just wish there were more stores in my neck of the woods!
I am reviewing the Comfort Square Arm slip covered sofa. This coach ranges from about 1500-3500$ depending on size and fabric. Utter garbage sofa. The frame of the sofa itself is made of strand board that is fragile and breaks easily. The foam padding is flimsy and doesn't even stay put. One year later and if you rest your arm on the arm rest you can feel the wood frame because the padding has shifted. Finally the cushions themselves are incredibly cheap and compress quickly and do not keep shape. The only positive thing i can say about this sofa is the design itself. I love the square arm and the deeper seats and the width was perfect for my narrow living room. If I could go back I would not buy this couch though. It won't last and I don't have the kind of money where I can just buy a new couch every couple of years. So disappointed. PB couches used to be decent quality.
I placed an order for two closet shelves in March. I only received one after waiting two months. They didn't deliver the second and have told me it's coming, it's coming. After call #8, they now tell me it's coming in DECEMBER.
If you're ok waiting on stuff for a year, no problem, but this is ridiculous.
Cheap products (at not so cheap prices), and horrendous delivery and set up (I had to throw the contract installers out of my apartment when they started swearing at me: I refused to sign the delivery acknowledgment, as the bed was improperly installed and stained by the installers). "Customer service" is also horrendous. They don't keep notes, so every time you call you start from square one. And you can never get the same rep when you call back, as you will have to many, many times, as they screw up every appointment. Even the trade desk (which my decorator called for assistance) is bad: they won't give you their last names or telephone extensions, as if they are in witness protection (which perhaps they should be, given the crap they sell and the awful service they provide). Pay the couple grand extra and use a reputable furniture vendor.
After ordering a couch I received three different emails stating there was a delay. Five months later I schedule a date for delivery (you cannot choose the time.) Apparently I received the email in which they choose the timeframe after hours so when I emailed and called back to change the time to a more appropriate timeframe for me everyone was out of office. I called the next morning and stated the same issue I need the delivery time changed. Well there was nothing that could be done. So I'm short I wait five months to receive my order only for the delivery to be returned. Great job pottery barn your the best!
Delivery of white gloves is done with a dirty hand!
At the store they did not allowed me pick up my furniture! When I finally received the order, I was excited but after so disappointed! They unpacked all on the street, no wearing gloves, with dirty hands! I paid for delivery, they promised white gloves service, approve that everything is okay no stains no damage! Nothing of that! And no one contact me! So disappointed!
It's been four months going onto five since I placed my order, and I still have not received my half of my orders. When I messaged to inquire about why my order keeps getting delayed, the response I received was simply 'sorry for the delay. Oops'. No mentioned of looking into what the problem is or prioritizing my order.
Pottery Barn is a scam. Do not trust the estimated delivery dates as two days before the last estimated date they will push the back dates week later. No one knows what they are talking about, you will get bait and switched numerous times, you will get a hundred conflicting responses. I can't even speak about quality of product because at this point i am not receiving it.
I ordered 2 matching chairs but only received one. They delivered one then the second truck came as we were putting the chair in place. They went to our neighbers but left before I could get their attention. They said I refused. Delivery. Not true! Now no one, knows where it is. I waited 5 mo. For delivery then, they lost my chair. Now it's been over a week since they lost my chair. I have called all channels of communications but nothing happens..
Can't even begin to explain all that went wrong in the scheduling and delivering of my nursery furniture items. Items that we spoke about scheduling on the same date were not actually scheduled, items not making it on the truck, delivery to the wrong address, the list goes on. I'm excited for these pieces and in general love pottery barn furniture. My in-store experience was fantastic. But I'd think twice about buying from them ever again after this and definitely won't be recommending them to others.
Sent me a defective product. Couldnt notify them of the problem due to tending to my daughter's medical issues. It's outside their return window so they don't care. So just a warning: be willing to put your family's medical issues aside if you order from them otherwise you'll be stuck with a defective product!
There is NO top end management. No one beside the generic customer service people if your lucky enough to get through. I have waited on hold for nearly a hour with no resolution. 8 months to receive a broken bookshelf. Grease on white upholstered beds. Problem after problem. The worst of the worst. Save yourself the aggravation, It's been just awful
We have been waiting for a 5 piece bookshelf for 8 months now. We flew to Florida to receive it, 1 box came, crushed. 1 box, what happen to the other 4. A waste of our valuable time. I could not get my photos to load
I cannot stand PB anymore. They send incomplete furniture deliveries and keep you on hold forever. They also send the wrong items and just suck all around. I hate Pottery barn because of its lack luster customer service. They should be called Pottery Barn Customer Disservice
If ordering furniture, be aware they use a separate delivery company and there's no communication. If there's an issue, good luck. Customer service sends you on a merry-go-round of calls. Every time you talk to a new agent and they have to read the notes and usually say the last agent did something wrong. I ordered the Soma Brady sectional back in June and was charged in July. They attempted delivery in Aug but clearly one of the sections of the couch was missing and they tried to deliver a different couch that didn't even match. Their customer service attempted at least 5 different replacement but by Dec, still no couch and no eta. And good luck getting a refund - they can't seem to figure it out. I'll probably have to call my credit card company. All in all, I've spent countless hours on the phone with pottery barn and still no refund, no apology, no one trying to make it right. Absolutely terrible experience.
Worst delivery system/service ever. My dining table was ready to be scheduled for delivery but after scheduling it for the third time, it never came. Apparently one of the dining table parts is still in transit which doesn't make sense why the status of the item is "ready to be delivered". Also it's been 8 months since I ordered the item and the delivery estimated date has been extended twice. All representatives have told be different things. My items are no where to be found.
I bought a kitchen cabinet/wine storage piece from these crooks because it seemed like a decent deal. It was an online purchase and when I went to check out, AFTER it had already been sent, then I see, for the first time, that they added a "delivery" charge to the item... and that was on top of a "shipping" charge. Maybe I didn't pay attention in fourth grade, but I thought that 'shipping' and 'delivery' sort of mean the same thing. After the tax and shipping and 'delivery' charges, the item that seemed like a decent deal was more than what I would have paid for it. But all the charges didn't show until AFTER the 'purchase' button is pushed. I don't shop there now. I could have bought a hand made, quarter sawn oak cabinet for about the same price as this particle board, veneered over-priced piece. It's nice, but not worth the price. And they keep the total hidden online until after you press the 'purchase' button. TWO delivery charges?
Trying to buy something online. First I click on a piece advertised via email, and it is out of stock. When I finally find something suitable, I spend an hour trying to get the order placed. My fault in wasting the time, their fault in not designing a system that makes a purchase easy. There are too many other options. They don't get it.
Answer: Same, was told we would have a light first week of October, now December also. I hope they do go under. Don't get me started on the last thing I bought for $999, then the price changed to $499. So angry, will NEVER shop there again.
Answer: We have the same problem. Our couch is two years old and we will need to replace it this year. Back Cushions are rumpled and seat cushions have a ton of little piling.
