I've had to call them 5 times each time over an hour, and they kept messing my reservation up and cancelling it. Literally not worth using because they are the worst. You will go on multiple calls with different people overseas and they will not admit that they made mistakes so that you'd have to go through your credit card to dispute the transaction. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. DO NOT USE. EVER. EVEN IF IT SAVES YOU MONEY!

After spending some time researching hotels for a Las Vegas Trip I entered all my credit card information to book a hotel and the website orbitz.com. After a couple of days with no email I had checked my orbitz's account and nothing was there under my file. They had never sent me a confimation number or sent me an email. I login on back onto my account after I refreashed my account as they said to do and NOTHING was in my profile account regarding my reservation! I called the customer service number and they had nothing listed! It was a total waste of my time! I will NEVER use ORBITZ.COM again!

Disappointed!

I had rented my rental cars via Orbitz (Enterprise Rental, Hertz, Alamo) for many years now and have had great experience! I recently gave Sixt Rental a try via Orbitz but didn't realize I would be penalized for weeks in advanced cancellations! Orbitz Customer Service tried to contact Sixt and so did I but no one would return any email response. I tried calling Sixt to ask for a refund directly as I'm new with them but no phone service available from them at all! Sixt Rental is a ripoff, terrible rental policy and no customer service at all! I requested Orbitz for a direct refund as I was not aware of the Sixt Rental penalty which I didn't hear back from Orbitz either. I'm very disappointed about that!

I tried to book a flight and car the system told me it didn't go through so I had to restart. I was able to book the flight and car the 2nd time for $661.49. The next day I check my bank and Orbitz had hit my bank with a total of $1730 between deductions and Pr-authorizations. I noticed that everything was doubled and some didn't make sense. I called them they said I double booked but one didn't go through(the one with system error, was understood by software it didn't do anything). I told them to cancel everything because their service wasn't good and it was a huge hassle to deal with them. I got the refund emails and they totaled 402.49 that is correct because others come from the airlines. Problem is they took out 804.98 and kept arguing with me about that fact and tried to convince me that only 402.49 came out. They refused to let me speak to a supervisor on the phone and online chat. I am going to have to go through the bank to get my other 402.49 back. I would never use Orbitz again, worst customer service ever. Very rude and wouldn't even listen barley let me try to explain.

Made $6k air reservations under Orbitz 24hr policy. Charge to credit card was immediate. Cancelled within a couple of hrs. Now Orbitz says refund takes 7-10 days: "Standard Orbitz policy" is apparently to use the unknowing customer's money as long as they can. Now I have a problem with booking new reservations, because I don't walk around with an extra $6k in my pocket, so the 24 hr policy should CLEARLY disclose that the customer does NOT get their money back promptly. I WILL NEVER USE ORBITZ AGAIN AND SUGGEST THAT YOU THINK TWICE BEFORE RELYING ON THE 24 hr policy!

They appear to book flights, you will get confirmation email and ref no. However they fail to release the eticket to the individual airlines. Couldn't get flights to Atlanta, spent from 7:30 to 3pm on my mobile to their ' customer care ' service and got flights rebooked for next day. Turned up at airport and same problem, I could have cried as again they kept me on hold but failed to sort out. If this company is owned by Expedia I will never use either ever again as they cost me a fortune and 2 days of hell for me and my 2 young kids. Lies lies and more lies is all they tell you, they will accuse you to avoid costs for their mistakes or are they 'mistakes' as 2 days running appears to be fraud to me.

The Orbitz treats its frequent flyers with special consideration. Their bonus points at time gives you a full ticket too. That's why I prefer traveling with Orbitz.

I booked a 2 family trip to cancun for all 10 travelers to be on the same flight the agent told me ill put you all on the same flight and i trusted him 3 days later i look at both family tickets and both families coming back to new york are different called orbitz they say there is nothing you could do there is no refund! IT WAS ALL THE AGENTS FAULT! THANKS FOR RUINING MY VACATION NOW ORBITZ WE DONT EVEN WANT TO GO ANYMORE!

Took forever to talk to a person that could help over a reservation they screwed. I did finally get it resolved but only after speaking twice on the phone on two separate ocassions and with the wait time i was on the phhone for over 3 hours. Way too long to fix a simple issue. I am beign generous with three

Then there is the price baiting issue that othhers have compalined about. Try to buy a ticket at a certain price press the buy button and the price jumps. Not cool

Found out that eaven though i had bought a ticket with orbitz to travel with american my wife and I were actualy traveling stand by. I had to cancel a trip that I had purchased the 45.00 dollar insurance for through orbitz found out the emengency I had did not qualify My guess is that is most often the case. Dont buy the insurance and dont use orbitz they will not help

They straight theive from your credit card. I had my phone giving me text alerts from my credit card in the middle of the night after I had checked out of the hotel I used it at 2days ago. Still haven't received my money back yet. 5day wait still nothing.

Always good to check around at a lot of different websites before clicking the pay button. Orbitz has some good deals sometimes, but I usually can find better prices on PRICELINE. If you can't find what you need on PRICELINE, then I definitely say you should try Orbitz next -- but just make sure you check at least 3 or 4 different websites before you just buy something --- you never know when somebody will have an amazing special running that can save you a lot of money

Never in my whole life have I experienced such TERRIBLE customer service on not one, but TWO occasions. I've spent over two hours on the phone with them collectively making this the single WORST travel booking experience I've ever had. The customer service representatives I had on both calls were rude and didn't listen to anything I said, asking me to repeat the same information numerous times... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again.

We purchased flight tickets through Orbitz for our Christmas family visits three months ahead of time. Shortly after the reservation was made, the airlines changed the flight schedule to a day prior to our original flight schedule. Orbitz did not notify us of the change and we missed our flights.

Orbitz refused to replace our tickets to send us with another flights on the day of our scheduled flight. As much as we brought evidence that we did not receive notification, the customer service refused to believe us. We purchased four additional flight tickets with high price on the short notice to go on our trip, our young children were able to get together with their grand parents. We did go through a lot of trouble to make this trip happen.

Since then our numerous calls to Orbitz was answered with lies that someone from legal department will be in touch with us shortly. No one from Orbitz has contacted thus far. I sued Orbitz in a small claims court. Orbitz shamelessly ignored the court; even more four months after the court ruling and the judgments against Orbitz, the judgement hasn't been paid.

It is quite frustrating to see how customer service at Orbitz having the training to lie to the customers with polite, calm voices, who are from somewhere outside the united States. It is also sad that the laws do not go far enough to help average citizens like me to help to collect the damage from large corporate.

Due to this Coronavirus paranoia which led to a change in policy on flight permissions for my wife's job, we weren't able to use my American Airlines flight that we booked through Orbitz. They refused to make accommodations for this case and kept $200 for a $900 ticket and credited the rest for an American airlines flight, which will require a $200 fee for rebooking, so in essence, a ticket we paid $900 for can be used now ONLY through American Airlines for a $500 ticket.
So it seems that using this service effectively doubles the penalty if an emergency arises and their customer service doesn't care about the customers expenses or whether they have returning customers. We won't be using their service again!

Such a Pain!

When searching for FLIGHT ONLY they'll display reasonably priced flights and when you click on it it forces you to get a hotel room in order to get that price. I would let you know if I wanted a hotel in the search--get that option off of the screen if I am unable to just get a flight as requested.

Site is garbage.

This is the best darn air fare page ever! It allows you to search for airfare with flexibility around your dates. Been using this page for years now and it still comes back cheeper than all the other sites.
