I bought a ticket luggage included. Once I paid I ve been told " maybe there will be additional charges for luggage, please visit the website if the company" which I did. No informations about this. At the airport, I had to pay 100 dollars. Never ever again.

Got my confirmation fast, and everything was good to go for my trip. Customer service hit back quick too when I had a question. Would def use it again when I travel next time.

We are just waiting for the tickets to arrive in our email box. It did say it could take up to 72 hours since we booked on the weekend. I booked a flight from Arusha to Zanzibar, using Smartfares because their cheapest fares. A couple a minutes passed before I received a call from Smartfares, telling me that there was a mistake and I had to pay 62% in addition to the original price. There was not any other alternative, but paying that extracost, which was immediately charged by them to my credit card without my confirmation. It was a terrible experience, the first and the last one with Smartfares.

Simple to use so far. My only concern was that I was quoted a price in NZ dollars and charged one that was higher. I suspect that because it really charges US dollars that the exchange rate used in the quote was different from the actual exchange rate. I don't have a seat assignment yet nor was there anyway to specify a vegetarian meal on the long haul section of the trip. These are going to cause me to search out how to do these things (and will probably cost me money for the seat.) hence the 3 stars.

I was looking for a flight below 800 euro with one stop. All flight where above and the only available one was two stops at 778 euros. I decided to take it even though I didn't want two stops but I made do because of my budget. To my disappointment I was debited 828 euros for the flight instead of the 778 euro. I am really upset because I could have paid that amount for a one stop flight with Qatar air instead of two stops on different flight. I definitely won't be using smart fares again.
Booked international flights through SmartFare and received confirmation that my flights were booked. I was then able to find my record on the airline's website and select seats. So, all seems to be in order for now.
Very unhelpful and can't resolve any issue. DO NOT USE! I've been trying to get a refund, but they don't care or call me back. Lack of English language on the phone causes more issues.
Wouldn't use Smartfares! We recently booked two business class tickets for specific dates and carrier through a comparison site from Australia to Spain and was redirected to Smartfares which we purchased after checking if they were legitimate. We booked, paid, received confirmation and within an hour received a call from San Diego saying there weren't any more seats on the day/flight but if we could switch dates, they could book seats BUT more expensive. Long story short both through the comparison site, direct to the carrier and on Smartfares the dates we originally booked continue to have cheaper fares listed, with "only four seats left" on Smartfares and this is over a week later. We've complained on the same day and asked for the difference in fare cost between what we paid and what's "still available" but nothing except "I've never seen this happen before" from the call center guy.
So reliable and a very good deal. At first I did not trust the website. But I took the risk and everything went well.
The second time I gained confidence because I traveled without any stress and all my bookings were straight.

Fares displayed were not available when we went to pay. Clearly a way to get people onto your website to pay for more expensive flights. I do not appreciate my time being wasted and will NEVER purchase flights from your site.
I didn't have a good experience with the agency because I purchased the ticket, and shortly after, they sent an email saying they had an issue completing the purchase. After spending 30 minutes on the phone, the purchase was finally completed using the same card, but I was charged $50 more because, according to the company, the price had changed. A few hours later, there was a $1,000 purchase attempt on my card under the company's name.
Our first reservation was on hold for many hours and in case we had not called there would have never existed an issuance of the tickets. We had to make an international call as Smartfares only informs a toll number (later we knew they have a 1800 toll free number). After the verification charge that was positive, issuance took time and thanks to Aish it was successfull.
Called three times to confirm my ticket all three people gave very confusing and mixed information. The first person put the phone down me and could not explain in clear cut English what the status was. Money has gone now but will never use again. Staff need to be trained in basic manners.
Answer: Smartfares! They will offer a deeply discounted airfare and send you a confirmation number to your email. The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!
