After I received the ticket information, one person whose name Erwin called and emailed asked for my consent to charge to my credit card for the seat selected. The way he asked seems to be obviously that I need to pay, not ask if I wish to pay or not. If I want to choose my seat, I would have done it when I bought the ticket. Why do I need to wait for Smartfares agent to select and give me the option? I do not like the way SmartFares approach the customers like that way. I bought tickets with different agents but no one did that.
SmartFares made booking my flight quick and simple. The prices were better than most other sites I checked, and the process was smooth from start to finish. I received my confirmation right away, and everything went as planned. I'll definitely use them again for future travel deals and bookings.

I will never in my life use this service again you guys need to scam persons of their hard own money, you guys took my money and never booked my flight
I made a big mistake using smartfares to book my trip, the process has been very painful and time consuming. I was over charged for my bag which I then had to get refunded and will have to pay once I get to the airport. The seat assignment is not done until 1 week before the flight and I have little control over what seat they give me. Plus I have somehow ended up with the lowest fare level meaning that I cannot have a carryon bag and I will be the last person to board the plane (plus who knows what other trouble).
I could have booked the same flight directly from the airline at almost the same price with a better result and possibly even for less once all the additional fees kick in as things go. It would have taken me much less time as well, since I've had to contact them twice already with more interactions to go.
Overall then, a very poor experience and one that I will do my best to avoid in the future, starting with not using this company again.

L received quick feedback from customer service as they were so helpful and it has been a pleasure getting assistance from them. However there was an issue with additional charges that l encountered ontop of the fee that l was supposed to pay for the ticket in relation to airline fee changes which was not updated on the site which led to the cost of ticket become more costly.

I was booking a flight for me and my 11 year old daughter. The drop list won't allow me to choose 2013. I tried numerous times as a child, youth or adult. I won't allow me when I called in the operator women was rude, I tried again I got a gentleman and was going to book the flight for me for 700 and he was rude about it. I told him no thank you

I found my flight through Kayaak and paid extra for a carry on. On my smart fares ticket, it didn't say anything about a carry on. I called the airline and Kayaak, and both told me that they could not help me. Porter told me I would have to pay extra for baggage again. I'm hoping SmartFares will call me back to try and resolve this issue. Also, I saw online that SmartFares has a student discount, but I couldn't get it to work. Not sure if this is true or not though...

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!
