I didn't have a good experience with the agency because I purchased the ticket, and shortly after, they sent an email saying they had an issue completing the purchase. After spending 30 minutes on the phone, the purchase was finally completed using the same card, but I was charged $50 more because, according to the company, the price had changed. A few hours later, there was a $1,000 purchase attempt on my card under the company's name.
Called three times to confirm my ticket all three people gave very confusing and mixed information. The first person put the phone down me and could not explain in clear cut English what the status was. Money has gone now but will never use again. Staff need to be trained in basic manners.

I bought the ticket in Australian Dollars whilst overseas. Because we had daily limit on our credit card the payment was declined. I contacted my wife in Australia to change the daily limit. After she talked with you, the amount changed into American Dollars, which ended up an extra thousand Australian Dollars. Very shifty.
Smart Fares was clearly not a reliable company for flights, I would not recommend them. They were very difficult to deal with when asking for a cancellation, I had to call many times and they could not provide me anything in writing stating that I would be refunded. They charged my credit card twice for a flight that was non existant, I had to get my bank involved.
We booked flights today for our family, $4500 worth. Received an email right away saying there was a problem and then they immediately called us. They said the airline wouldn't honour the rate they sold us our flights at. We argued they advertised it, that's what we wanted to pay. They asked us to change our flights around on different days. We reported them to Visa, and after much arguing they cancelled our booking. Used FlightHub instead.
I already got my reservation code and I had to talk with a lady. Because she told me that the price of my reservation changed.
First she wanted to charge me 300 usd more and after many situations she charged me 80 usd.
This is not acceptable. I already had my booking reservation payed. Originally was 900 usd at the end was 1020 usd.
They decline your credit card at the price online and have you call in. Then they rake up the price by $400 and force you to purchase on the phone. When respectfully decline their offer. They speak in some other language and hang up on you.

I had problems with my credit card in the payment because of a limit in the first payment that I solved with my bank executive. Then a smartfares agent tried to do the payment but the flight I have reserved was complete so they offered me another flight more expensive. We were in a 1 hour phone call when it was not necessary to be all the time in the call. Then the smartfares agent told me that the new resevation was also unavailable so he offered me another more expensive flight (US$600 more than the first one). The agent told me that I could not cancel the reservation so the only option was to get the more expensive reservation.
I tried booking my airline tickets via smart fares. The process was simple but when it came to making payment it was a disaster. The fares quotes on the web page were wrong and payment could not be made. The call Centre was trying to be helpful but could not assist.
I booked a ticket and trying to cancel next day, still within 24 hours period and I was charged of a fee of $150 when I was suppose to get a full refund.

I paid a change of name fee, told them the name I wanted on their, they put the name in wrong, then refused to change it again because of their mistake. Then they called to add protection on the trip & not to resolve the issue that they had created. Qorst customer experience of my life. If they will respond to my call & fix this issue then perhaps I will take this back. But for now. It stays
I tried to book flights for 5 people. I did not receive a booking confirmation. I tried calling Customer Services but the number was not available since my booking until now. No response or support via email either. My flight option is no longer available and therefore I don't know what option is available to me but don't know how to contact SmartFares.
I got I little bit of confusion about some mails that they sent me but I called and they helped me to clear out the situation in a way, but it was awkward
Answer: Smartfares! They will offer a deeply discounted airfare and send you a confirmation number to your email. The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
