I had two experiences with your live customer reps, both were horrible even though they were different people. 1st time I made on online reservation but my credit card was declined. The payment I made was not credited fast enough for the transaction to go through. I called your customer rep just to ask him to run the payment again because this time I had enough available credit on my card. He refused. Instead, he tried to sell me a different reservation that was $300 more expensive. I already had a reservation at a contract price. He just had to execute the payment. The tickets were already reserved! When he couldn't convince me to pay $300 extra he told me that the best he could do was to bring down his quote to $250 extra. I explained that I only paid enough into my credit card to cover the quoted price on my reservation. I didn't have any extra available credit on my card. So he gave me a warning "this is what you need to pay, this is your last chance" when I explained again that I didn't have any extra money to pay a higher fare he said "ok so I am going to cancel your reservation". HE NEVER ATTEMPTED TO JUST RUN MY CARD AGAIN. He was just so focused on getting his sale commission that when he couldn't meet his quota with me he decided to totally screw me and cancel my reservation. I was forced to go back online and rebook, but of course this time the fare I found was $70 more expensive. I saw a pop up stating "Call us to get cheaper fares", so I did call, for a second time, and spoke with a different agent. AND AGAIN! That agent started quoting me prices that were $200-$300 more expensive than what I was getting online. I was tricked into wasting my time for a lie. I was not offered anything cheaper AT ALL, it was the absolute OPPOSITE! And I was so so so upset, even angry. I politely turned down his quote, hung up, and went back to the webpage to book online. Smartfares consistently gives me the best airfares. That's the entire reason I always book my tickets with Smartfares and I will continue to use Smartfares. BUT I WILL NEVER CALL YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS WHO JUST WANT TO RIP ME OFF! They are too greedy about whatever commission they are making off of the customers that are calling in that it's best to keep them away from me at all costs. It's too costly to call your reps for help!
