Worse company ever

My flight was cancelled on june20 and I am still waiting for refund even after 9 month. Service are really poor -- whenever i call them they escalate my case but didn't do anything. Believe me, don't use this company

Be very careful

Be very careful - advertises cheap fares that aren't. Booked via Opodo - charged £911 - received booking confirmation from Easyjet for £785. Charged £126 - for nothing. I'll take the financial hit and chalk it up to experience, but this is the first and last time I use this site. That's what happens when you trust advertising!

OPoDO = Pay Double
April 6, 2022

Lufthansa fligths from Munich to Berlin and back were booked via oPoDO but soon cancelled. OPoDO hotline stated that flights will go despite the app info. At the airport we had to buy new tickets at a much higher price. Either this fraud is intented or they are not knowing what they do.

Very Poor.

Ive never known customer service like it, in fact its none existent. I will not be using them again, this is before the holiday.
Simply cant check in for our boarding passes, whats lies ahead doesnt bare thinking about.

Scam. DONT GET your ticket from opodo

If you consider booking air tickets *******@opodo website, THINK AGAIN! This company is a JOKE!. I booked tickets up to £1000+ on their website and unfortunately the flight was cancelled. At first I was notified that between 3-6 months I would be refunded. As a result, 6 months have passed, but I have still not received a penny. I contacted their customer service team, which felt like I was speaking to a computer, even though I was forwarded to an actual person. He said that it can be refunded within 30 days, as a result, 30 days have passed, and STILL NO REFUND. I contacted their customer service again, and was told to wait, again, for a reply within 72 hours from their escalation team. My patience is waring thin. £1000+ that I can't get back. I hope you will seriously reconsider if you have any any plans to book with Opodo.

I wouldn' t say that it trustworthy company at all. Last time we've ordered tickets from them and had to cancel them due to double booking. Until now no refund was issued and it been over three weeks past by. Their customer's service representatives don't seem to be qualified enough to provide a reasonable explanation for such delay despite the request for cancellation was applied within one hour after charge.
So, I definitely would talk away a friend from buying from this company.

Avoid Opodo

Booked flights in January to attend a family wedding in Sicily on May 30th, the airline have put us on a waiting list which is no good so we have been trying to cancel the flights with Opodo and get a refund, they make it so difficult to contact them, the phone line won't accept our booking ref even though Opodo have said its correct. 5 chats with online agents result in them saying there is a technical issue as soon as i discuss a refund, 3 emails to customer service go without reply. How are these scammers still allowed to operate, they have also moved the business to Spain which makes the process all the more challenging.

Awful experience- missold a flight to Manchester that had already been cancelled. Airline says no money received and yet 9 months later opodo's awful customer service can only say they have requested a refund from the airline. Would never use them again. Never

Do NOT use Opodo! I would put 0 star if I can. They charged me ANNUAL Prime membership without giving a warning that the free trial period is ending soon! That's GBP 60!
Cancelling the prime membership took many clicks. They are really trying to trap as many people as possible with this scam method.
I tried contacting them via Chat with an agent, but it was a chatbot that kept making me go in loops without solving anything! And they said they are a global site but their customer support number is only a UK number! This is really frustrating!
I bet you this would be the similar customer experience service if you have trouble with the trip. Definitely do NOT recommend Opodo.

I never used Opodo, nonetheless, they took 74.99€ from my bank account. They aren't supporting in clearing this up and helping me to get my money back. The worst customer service I interacted with so far

I made 2x one letter spelling mistakes on a booking for 7 people flying Manchester to Miami. Opodo will not help and the airlines BA Virgin can't because booked through agent. Not due to travel until December but very worried, been trying for 5 weeks to find out how to solve this. Understand there will be a fee, happy to pay it, but have no way to do it.

Awful service with contradictory answers and no solution.

I booked a return flight for three people - two of them having the same name. Opodo reservation system added a suffix "Jr" to one of the passengers, while "Jr" is not in the passport. All this WITHOUT us putting "JR" in the reservation! The airline informed me that that passenger will be denied boarding.

I have been trying to solve this issue with Opodo for a month now, no luck and no answer from their customer service. The customer service is absolutely incomptenent, cant even properly read messages, does not solve anything, promises solutions and does not deliver. My parents, who are travelling with me and know no foreign language, are in bad luck because of Opodo's mistake I will not be able to travel with them shall this not get fixed soon.

Steer clear if you don't want to lose money on someone else's mistake.

Never again.

When I booked the flight the price was 605 euros, however my card was charged 655 euros and the customer service can do nothing about it. You should never give your credit card details to this company!

Usual trickery of marketing tactics. They will advertise that only for few nominal extra money one can upgrade to a flexible ticket with free of cost change of date and no airline fare difference. But then comes the term and conditions which is obviously not mentioned along with the advert that it is only valid for 1 way travel that too till 24hrs before your first travel date. So basically not applicable on your return date. When one complains their usual answer that the terms and conditions were emailed to you. Yes they were but only after purchasing the flexible tickets and paying extra.
Again they will advertise as to take up prime membership for cheaper tickets but if you want to cancel then it is difficult to find the cancellation process.
One can get cheaper tickets on other websites and also without buying any memberships. Do not waste your hard earned money with this websites as you will feel cheated.

Please think twice to boom your flights or anything else on that website. My dad book his vacation through that website, not only that they are cancelled his flight back home but also they are not even trying to communicate. The customer service is the worst, I texted them 100 times, called them, nothing came back. This website is so confusing it should be illegal even to book anything with them.

Worst booking agent ive ever dealt with! After being on hold for three hours, the agent lied to me and got aggressive.
He advised to call virgin, knowing that they couldn't deal with my flight change. They ate very shady and when adding things like the free cancellation option to your booking, its only valid for a few days after booking- which means they just take your money with no refund, even though you paid to be able
To cancel.
The agents on the phone are rude and argumentative. The last man i spoke
To literally shouted at me after asking what their policy was just to get me off the phone.
I have the cancellation policy in writing which states i am eligible to change my
Flight however Opodo just lie their way through to get your money and care about nothing else.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
November 21, 2019

Had a trip booked to Daydream Island in January 2020. We were meeting our daughter who is in Australia. On 11th November a truck hit her and fractured her femur and pelvis. She will not be okay to travel for at least 6-12 weeks. We asked to cancel our booking and get refunded and Opodo has flatly refused. Will never use them again and will make it my duty to warn everyone I can. Atrocious service.

Horrific! Booked a place to stay in Ericeira, arrived, had no contact details at all, just an address, could not get in and no info available at all, had to drive back to Lisbon and book a B&B with two small kids, thankfully we hired a car, if we'd had a hotel transfer we would have been left on the street overnight!
Opodo didn't want to know! I booked somewhere else through 'booking.com' who I've never had a problem with. New place was great.
On return to UK, I spent hours trying to get through and explain my complaint to try and get money back, after numerous long message threads explaining the issue, all they came back with was, 'the accommodation gave ample details, we should have contacted them! How could we have with no phone number, email or contact at all. JUST THE ADDRESS!
I absolutely hate Opodo! I will never use this travel again!

I opened an account with them for 2 days trial, then after i decided to cancel the account, i still receive promo emails + they tried 6 times to charge my credit card. Where is the GDPR? Why they use our personal data without our consent? Why we cant talk to anyone on their chat(?) service? This looks pure scam

Booked ticket for 3 times. Never confirmed. When I booked 3rd time. They sent me an email that price gone higher. I paid the difference, however after 1 week not received confirmed ticket. I called customer service and asked me to give me the any date any flight. Shockingly, they asked me to book again and pay for it again. A police complaint lodge against this company@ East London Police station. I had to threat them through a solicitor, got refund after 5 months. Do not use this bunch of scammers. Book directly to the airline. Little bit expensive but reliable.
