I have lost a 3 flights because of Opodo misconnection and tried to call then but I got no response. All my time and money gone!
Booked flights on 05 January for £1,287.69.
Cancelled same day but Opodo took more than six weeks to refund any money and then kept £340.17.
Having looked into this further, as far as I can tell, Opodo is just a bit of a scam really. They advertise that you can book the cheapest flight tickets with them and save with Opodo. But they just appear to sell tickets with a large mark up.
Maybe when they first started as a company they had better prices but now they appear to charge about 25% + compared to booking directly.
Just avoid scam companies like this… although it can be difficult as they pay to be top of Google searchers even if you try to search for a specific airline and at first you can think that you are dealing with the airline but actually you are dealing with Opodo.

Later update... on pressing and pressing them further, Opodo said the money they kept split down to:
- Easyjet's fee for cancellation of 49 GBP and the extra fee for booking through Opodo of 44.42 GBP (both non-refundable). Both fair enough. But there was an extra baggage fee of 246.75 GBP that Opodo added and that they won't refund.
So... if you book through Opodo and not the airline, you will be charged extra service fees (that will not be refunded if you cancel) and "additional products fees" that Opodo apply to your booking. Opodo said that any payment for hold baggage etc was a non-refundable element, even though the airline do not take the money.
Just book through the airline. Don't use Opodo. There are no up sides to using Opodo but there are plenty of reasons not to use Opodo.
Unless you really enjoy paying extra money that you may never get back and love talking to chatbots.
Now on to an irritating legal battle.
Bought a friend a flight home as he was in distress and OPODO took the opportunity to charge me with a membership I did't want / need or consent to.

Flight got canceled due to covid pandemic. Over 2 years now and still didnt refund me my money even the airlines refunded the money to opodo.
Every time i call they send me a confirmation email that i will get refund within 7 to 10 working days. Nothing is happening they tell you this bs bank error. We raised a request. We promise u will get the refund. Bla bla bla. Scams n liars dnt book with them.
I was trying to book with them, given I saw some good deals on flights, but they were labelled "prime", you could only get them if you were a prime member. I looked for the cost of prime membership all over their website and did not find it anywhere! I asked in the chat and the chat robot could not reply to my very simple question "what is the cost of prime?"! So you can't get the good deals unless you sign up for membership, but you can't know what that membership costs until after you purchase? (By the way, I wrote a review of that experience on Trustpilot, who replied that Opodo requested my "details", otherwise they'd remove my review. Those details comprised all my personal details. I hope this won't happen here. Besides, it's very easy to verify what I'm saying, just go to their website, and try to find out what the cost of Prime is.
Opodo withdrawed 300€ from my account on tip of the ticket price and even after 4 month of calls (about 30 calls) never returned the money
You will loose your money booking with Opodo, try other trusted websites agencies! No proper customer service to help in case you need changes or guidance.

We paid for XL extra legroom seats, however, on checking in on the flights the flight check in desk informed us that these seats has not been paid for and also been allocated to others. Tried to contact Opodo theo the app without ant success. Calling them from UK is a premium number so more costs without any results.
Will not use them again and will delete the App from my mobile.

Avoid this deceptive company and please pay attention to negative reviews. Upon having to cancel a planned family summer holiday in advance, Opodo assured me the airline would provide an open ticket voucher to the same value. Received email from Opodo confirming this open ticket. No offer of my legally entitled refund. I recently tried to rebook these flights for the summer and was refused. Opodo insisting that flights must be used before March 23. Have also learned that the airline do NOT even fly this route again until April 23.
I hope customers do their homework and avoid booking with Opodo & they are investigated for these practices.
Appalled Customer
I paid £480.23 for booking flight from Luton to Thessaloniki on Wizz air and return from Thessaloniki to Gatwick on easy jet. While I received receipt from the airlines only of £355.98. On top of that Wizz air charged me for £135 for check-in and my cabin bags. Also easy jet charged me £96 for my cabin bags and asked me to put it in luggage while they allowed other people to carry their bags which were bigger then mine in the cabin.
I booked flights and transfers through Opodo for a skiing holiday. The transfer to the airport was also booked through their website but I then discovered that it was their their agents Mozio who handle transfers. How did I discover this? Well, Mozio mistakenly cancelled one of the transfers and then tried to cancel the 2nd all without my knowledge or consent. Mozio hid behind the "computer says no" tactic, refusing to accept liability for their error and only offered a coupon for the original cost of the transfers which in the meantime had risen to twice the original booking price. Opodo would not assist- in fact they are similarly very difficult (and costly) to contact- and stated that I would have to deal with Mozio. Mozio did the same. This effectively cost me nearly £300 and they still refuse to to refund me the cash- insisting that the voucher must be used even though it was their error that led to the transfer being cancelled.
Appalling "service"- incredibly frustrating and stressful to try to get someone to talk to or to respond to emails- I will never book through this company ever again and would suggest that you look at their customer contact page - note £6 for just connecting you to an agent- and I was cut off thereby incurring a £6 charge for nothing. I have almost given up on recovering the £300. But maybe that is what they want me to do?
I'm sick and tired of trying to get my refund for 3 years now - this is ridiculous. Please don't use them to save yourself a lot of time and energy. I'm considering taking them to court.
OPODO /EDREAMS They are a bunch of scoundrels, I have been trying to get my money back since December 2021, a refund that never comes, calling them on the phone and waiting for hours is useless, they are well-structured thieves to keep people's money. Shame of company, scammer.
There are groups of people on Facebook, Instagram, twitter triying to get their money back like me and nothing!

I booked two return tickets to a Wizzair flight through Opodo. The flight was cancelled and Opodo informed me: "The airline has cancelled your flight. As your travel agent we have requested a cash refund on your behalf." I said, that's a shame to have the flights cancelled but at least I will get my money back... Little did I know!
This happened in July 2021.and the money is still not in! Of course, I spoke with their call center immediately after the cancelling about the refund and several times after (even sent an e-mail with all the details as they requested) and I was assured that the money will be transferred as "We are in phase "request pending airline authorisation", and it usually takes 3-6 months to get the airline/ Wizzair approval."
I checked with Wizzair and they confirmed the money have been transferred to Opodo on 31 September, 2021 (!), and in fact Opodo has requested Wizz credits and not cash.;)
So.the money was refunded by the airline but Opodo is blaming the airline (and lying to costumers) that it's because of Wizzair they cannot transfer the money.
The next step would be hire a lawyer as it's also about the money - 600 EUR, but also the ethics.

You will then chat with your favourite chat robot for a few more hours.
You will be told a number of lies.
Like they need to wait 30 days to contact airline.
You will not hear anything from them until after the 30 days you contact them again.
You will be sent fake sincere emails of apologies with a number of excuses.
Like you are not eligible for a refund as the airline cancelled.
Or you flew on the flight according to there systems.
You will think u are smoking crack. Because you sure as he'll did not fly.
You will then give up with the lies and contact your bank to request a refund for services not received.
Your bank will temporarily refund the money.
2/3 months later your bank will notify you that the "opodo" SCUMBAG SCAMMERS have requested their payment.
You will be waisting loads of time and effort and you will be unnecessarily stressed for your efforts.

I booked car for 16 days( 22 november till 8 December 2022)+full insurance. And when I arrived at the airport for pick up my car in front desk it turned out that my documents are wrong (I had debit card) and I can't pick up my car. All money company "opodo" took off 21 December when I was still on my way!
As a result I don't have a car and my money(including money for insurance)!
When I trying connect with company i always recived same answer "this is not in line with company policy" and after this answer blocked me!
Answer: Guys, it would only cost you about £40 to take them to small claims court. Dont just take the loss, these people need to be held to account. Id also contact Rip Off Britain to get a programme made about their tactics
Answer: You can complain all you like but once they have your money they dont give a tinkers cuss. Best form of complaint is social media like this site and face book.
