Booked a return flight. Never got confirmation. Took the money so presumed it was ok. Tried to check in at the airport, was told I had no reservation. Called them from overseas, "it's been cancelled" had to buy a super expensive flight. Only got an email saying booking cancelled AFTER my return flight was scheduled. Ridiculous!
Avoid Opodo. Avoid! I went online. I chose the British Airways option for the 07/08/15 to 24/08/15, with a 20 minute stop over in St Lucia. After taking my payment of almost £1400, I was sent confirmation for 01/03/15 to 24/08/15 on United Airlines with a 5 hour stop over in Miami. Then I was charged £250 to cancel the booking 2 hours later. They claimed it was my fault and could do nothing. I feel mugged.
They said they will steal my money for an airline which is closed and they did not offer any alternative to move us on another flight.
Avoid this company.its the worst one.
I am still an hour waiting now for the alternative on a call. They keep transferring call. Also they overcharged my card with extra charges 26 for no reason.

OPODO IS A SCAM IN MY OPINION! You might think that you're getting a cheap flight, but they will automatically sign you up for an OPODO Prime subscription that will cost you £69.99 per year. And be careful, because its on an auto-renew, so unless you cancel OPODO Prime, you'll be billed again next year. Even cancelling the subscription is difficult

I used Opodo to make a Maggiore (Italian car renting company) booking for a city car (Open Adam) to collect In Florence and drop off at Pisa airport. I'll never use Opodo again.
The supplier charged us £300 for a barely visible scratch on the car.
It was supposed to be covered by a damage excess of 800,00 including tax. (Collision Damage Waiver (CDW))
Opodo customer services were absolutely awful when I complained on my return as I tried to claim the money back them (rentalcars). Entered the official claim on their website. They came back to me telling me they asked the Italian company to provide the documents but more than a month after I still haven't heard back from them.
I emailed twice. Still no response.
Never use Opodo - go straight to your supplier of choice.

This company should just close. They didn't warn us about the flights cancellation even though the airline claims that they have informed them. I had to buy new pair of tickets twice the price. Not only they never paid the difference, it has been 6 weeks that I haven't received the refund that the airline would have issued within a week. Never again I will deal with them.

I've been waiting 175 days for a refund and I'm still waiting. Contacting customer services is a nightmare, they can't/won't do anything to assist further and I've been lied to numerous times in regards to my refund status.
I would recommend that you never use Opodo and book direct with the airline, because if something goes wrong they're a nightmare to deal with and you're left stuck in the middle
Took out "any reason guarantee" but when I needed to claim on it, I had to keep trying for ages on the phone from abroad to get through - long wait times, and when I finally got through and they promised to email me the contact details of the refund team, they did not, which meant even more waiting on hold from abroad. I will never use them again. Be warned!

Booked flights as was overcharged £205 rang them up and took a screen shot of the price breakdown they first said that's the price then said after seeing the screenshot they would refund me but it would take up to 20 days I said can I have this in writing they said they cant send emails... don't believe anything they say cowboy company

I just booked a multi-city flight with Opodo yesterday and today got an mail that two of my flights cannot be confirmed and was asked to call them to solve the problem. However non of the phone numbers provided works and wherever I look, I cannot find a phone number or and mail to the customer service. Now I am afraid that I have to pay for new ticket. Quick enough to take your money, customer service absolutely disgusting. Opodo are third party booking agency, I contacted my carrier direct their customer service endorsed that they have a lot of trouble with Opodo. I believe Opodo are based in Belgium not in the UK. Avoid!
Son and his mates booked flights for a trip abroad when they finish college in the summer but realised the next day they had booked the flights for the wrong day so needed to change the day to one day earlier, immediately contacted Opodo (less than 24 hrs later) who were not interested, not in the least bit helpful and quite frankly don't care as it is in their terms and conditions... Eventually got them to say yes they would change but the lads would have to pay extra £25 to Opodo and a change fee to the carrier. To make it worse depending on who the boys spoke to this has varied from £80 to £150. Seriously! Where do these cowboys get these costs from? It would be a 10 minute job on a computer to change the dates yet they charge what is essentially a rip off price with impunity. Why is the travel industry allowed to get away with ripping people off at every opportunity and why in this day and age do companys offer such poor customer service still?
In a nutshell, I booked a flight with OPODO including insurance attached in case i need to cancel, when i did need to cancel the process is to phone takes about 30 minutes and costs a bomb to tell them you want to cancel as its in the states. Then i have since had at least 2 months repeatedly trying to get my refund, again you have to wait for ages to speak to anyone, to make it worse they ask you for your bank details on a no reply email! Never ever will go anywhere near this company again!

I booked flexible ticket through opodo prime. On my return journey the airline postponed the flight twice on scheduled date. But, opodo instead of helping me they charged me with penalty twice (£320+£320). Every time i call them to rebook they pretended like they are in contact with airline to rebook the ticket. But, that was their tactic to frustrate me to force me to pay penalty. Many days were wasted in waiting and i finally paid penalty twice. Once i returned back, i filed formal complaint, they opened a case to investigate but they never replied even after i sent many follow up emails and waited for a month. Absolute scammers. I will avoid next time, also advice others to avoid booking through this company.
Our flights were cancelled by the operator, and I have been waiting for a refund for 6 months! I have called over 10 times - they dont call you back, and no e-mail updates. The original re-fund took so long, the card used for the booking expired. Despite having provided them new account details four times, they are still trying to refund to the same card! Avoid...
The review system works! Thank you all who have taken the time to expose this company for what they are. I was about to book a flight to Belfast and decided to check these people out before I did. Thank heavens I did! On the strength of everybody's comments I would not give these clowns the time of day, let alone my business. Thank again everybody.
I will never use Opodo again. My experience over the past few weeks has been awful. I needed to change an earlier flight to make a connecting flight. I made numerous calls to Opodo, was kept waiting on hold for ages, passed from department to department and was cut off several times. In spite of assurances from Opodo that they would would deal with the issue and get back to me they did nothing. In the end I had to contact the airline myself to change the flight.

I bought air ticket for £815 from Opodo, biggest mistake ever. The Airline cancelled the flights, Opodo asked if I wanted a refund of credits. I took the credits, booked a new flight, thought all was well. Never received a new flight, had to re-book with the Airline direct. I was constantly on the chat service, only way to reach anyone, most of the operators don't have a clue, just seem to hit random copy and paste answers, then pass you on to a special team or expert team, then say they will get back within 24 hours by email, no one ever contacts. You go back on the chat, then it gets escalated for another 48 hours, then 72 hours, back to 24 hours you end up going up and down the escalator and merry go around. Then you realise you have been scammed and will never get your flight or money back. The company should be closed down as fraudsters. Don't E-Dream of using them.

I would not advise using this company to book flights, unless you are using a Mastercard debit card. You will be charged at least an extra 7% without, as far as I could see, any due warning. I was really surprised when I realised that I had paid much more than I was expecting to pay, so I wrote to Opodo immediately. I finally received a reply, saying, "When you reach the payment stage, if you enter a card different to a Mastercard Debit, then the price will change to the new price for the service charge, plus any credit card fees (charged at 2.5%). This is still before you commit to 'Buy It Now'. As we have offered the opportunity to view the pricing before you select your flight and again before the flight has been confirmed for purchase, on this occasion, we are unable to offer you a refund of these charges.
I do not find this acceptable. So, if you do choose to use Opodo, just beware of this before you do.
Paid for return flights. Only to be emailed on the day of flying and told the return flight isn't booked and they will refund the return flight. They then refused to acknowledge how they have made it difficult to take this trip and then tried charging me 3 x the original cost to book the same flight we were returning on. It is disgusting at such short notice and they refuse to recognise how bad are. I want compensation for this

Answer: Guys, it would only cost you about £40 to take them to small claims court. Dont just take the loss, these people need to be held to account. Id also contact Rip Off Britain to get a programme made about their tactics
Answer: You can complain all you like but once they have your money they dont give a tinkers cuss. Best form of complaint is social media like this site and face book.
