Had a flight cancelled by the airline from Valencia to Lisbon under booking *******4914 and to this day I'm battling to get my money back. Called numerous times, sent numerous emails including the CEO Dana and I am still waiting nearly a year later. Please AVOID this company AT ALL COSTS. They are ok if you don't have any issues with your travel but if something happens to your flight or holiday you won't get your money back. Their HQ is now based in Spain and no longer part of the ATOL Protection scheme leaving the UK consumer powerless. Check reviews and forums before booking.
They seem to have 2 Trustpilot set of reviews now so PLEASE PLEASE check before booking your holiday. This company is scamming customers. They keep blaming the airline for not passing the money to them, excusing themselves from the transaction. Please protect your mental health, family and your money. I will now be taking this to the small claims court.
Booked a car, payed for prime insurance. End of the day I was late to the desk and haven't got the car neither any refund or discount for a new booking. Stuff by the desk wasn't interested in helping or solving the issue. Great start of the holiday.
- Booked a flight via Opodo and short time before the flight, they notified me about the flight being cancelled. Interesting enough, the airline never cancelled the flight, probably Opodo just sold seats they did not have. I also had to book another flight on my own and having to do that just a few days before the flight date, I do not need to mention how expensive that was.
- 2 years later and NEVER received my money back, regardless of how many times I requested it. Time lost doing so should not even be mentioned as their customer service would never respond to your chat if you use "Refund" as a reason. If you use something else, they will say that you reached the wrong department and they will transfer you, and nobody will answer.
- Only once I managed to get an answer from them saying that I should request that from the airline and that being said, they will close the ticket because they consider it solved. Needless to say, airline's feedback was that if you booked via 3rd party, that party is the one that is in charge with paying you back the money.
- There are so many social media groups where people are complaining how they never got their money back that actually makes you wonder how is it that this company hasn't yet been closed by the authorities and the owners arrested. It is a very-very shady one.
They're a scam! Don't be tempted. You'll get their "free month" membership plan, but really, they charge you for the entire year in advance and refuse to refund upon cancellation. They will however cancel your membership - without a refund. Not worth it, big scam. Stay away.
Not happy with service. Kept calling me a lier and refused to help me. All I want is my refund which the company is liable for as I received NO contact from them to inform me of flight changes.They lie to say they contacted me on my BIRTHDAY March 31st but this is NOT true. No contact was made and NO Email received. I am very upset with this company as they left me stranded in Kathmandu Nepal. I then had to pay another company to get home. I will never book with Opodo again. It even still says that the flight is leaving at 20:20hrs but it left at 18:00hrs! Proof in picture. Would NOT recommend using this company as they will take your money and mess you around just like they did to me and many others. 4 times they changed my flight to Nepal and not once did they tell me about the flight changes for my return flight. All they say is not liable for a refund as part of airline policy. They won't help you. Don't book with these people.

Per non parlare della presunta app con la quale millantano che l'utente possa effettuare il cambio da sé: la richiesta viene ignorata. Ogni operatore dispensa info diverse. Alla fine non hanno cambiato le date e ho perso il volo, nonostante abbia impiegato ore al telefono, inviato decine di email, solleciti e reclami e fossi garantita da una polizza di flessibiliá.

I hired a car through their website only to find out that after I had made my payment there was a £1205 deposit to pay on a credit card when I don't have a credit card so I tried to cancel and they tried to charge me more than what I had paid for the hire this is a joke considering I'd only made the order an hour before
So after opodo looked at my review they decided to put the blame onto the hire company and to contact the hire company when this was the first thing I done the hire company informed me that any refunds would be down to the 3rd party opodo I highly advise anyone to stay well clear from this booking site the customer care is awful and lots of hidden charges plus after my review they are still emailing me trying to sell me products

I am an Opodo Prime Member and booked 4 flights with BA through Opodo.
BA cancelled the outbound flight on the night we were due to travel and waiting in the airport so my party had to travel from Heathrow to Stansted and travel with Ryanair to reach our destination. More cost, more inconvenience.
I raised this with Opodo next day to get my refund who told me to contact BA. I contacted BA who told me to speak to Opodo.
I am due a refund which should legally take 7 days, I'm then told it will take 30 days, I'm then told it will take 8 weeks and I'm then told it will take 10 days. Go figure.
I have been told the refund has been requested but nobody can provide any evidence to this effect, all I have is an online chat and call agents telling me that is what they can see, but they can't tell me when it was requested, when it will be paid or how much the refund will be.
Effectively, this is all a scam as the airline keep your money for as long as possible and Opodo renege on doing the decent thing which is refund their customer (me) whilst they seek the refund from the airline. However, they can't do this as apparently Opodo don't know how much BA will give them back. In short, what you pay is not necessarily what you get back.
It's a pretty good scam.
I also discovered that since Brexit, Opodo moved their HQ to Spain so they are free to operate with much lower standards now that they are no longer a UK based/owned company. Wish me luck getting anything back at this rate.
Further to this, I have since booked other travel elsewhere due to my concerns with Opodo (once bitten twice shy) and I discovered that booking direct was much cheaper than the so called benefit of being with Opodo.
Therefore, the Prime membership is more like a set of shackles and its makes things harder for you to resolve matters when things invariably go wrong.
In short, look at the negative reviews on here for Opodo because I believe the majority of complaints are by decent people like me who paid a small amount for a premium service but actually got hoodwinked into a scam that not only leaves you out of pocket but also on your own when things take a turn for the worse.
Come on Opodo, just do the decent thing and give me my refund on my flights.
One of the "ostensible cheaper" service. After booking I faced with extra "eDreams fee" which in addition was not refundable. And finally when the airline canceled one of my flight, had to wait half of year for a refund!
DO NOT USE OPODO TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS! 1 star is not low enough for the terrible customer service we experienced with Opodo. We arrived at the airport to find out there was a £110 charge with Ryan Air because Opodo had not provided the correct email address. After requesting a refund from them they denied this saying that we should of contacted their customer service line. This was on a Sunday and the customer service helpline for Ryanair and Opodo were closed so there was no way that we could contact anyone. Absolute rip off! DO NOT USE THEM!
The company will offer you a discounted flight; however, they will sign you up for prime membership and charge your credit card without your consent. Then it will take hours to speak to customer service and cancel the subscription you didn't sign for. You will be promised to receive an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation and to have the charge reversed in 10 to 15 business days. I don't have high hopes that Opodo will reverse the charge. For that reason, I disputed the transaction with my credit card provider.
Usual trickery of marketing tactics. They will advertise that only for few nominal extra money one can upgrade to a flexible ticket with free of cost change of date and no airline fare difference. But then comes the term and conditions which is obviously not mentioned along with the advert that it is only valid for 1 way travel that too till 24hrs before your first travel date. So basically not applicable on your return date. When one complains their usual answer that the terms and conditions were emailed to you. Yes they were but only after purchasing the flexible tickets and paying extra.
Again they will advertise as to take up prime membership for cheaper tickets but if you want to cancel then it is difficult to find the cancellation process.
One can get cheaper tickets on other websites and also without buying any memberships. Do not waste your hard earned money with this websites as you will feel cheated.
Hired and paid for a car. Booking confirmation said I needed driver's license and international driver's license (if applicable). No details of what "if applicable" means and having travelled extensively in multiple countries for 20 years I assumed this would only be for a license from less reliable countries (not Australia) - I have never needed it before...
They refused to give me the car, refused to let me transfer to my wife (who had an international license) and refused a refund. Criminal in my opinion.
NOTE - I walked 20m to another car rental company who were happy to give me a car on my Australian license so it is not a legal requirement, just a way for them to scam unsuspecting tourists. Wish I could give it a negative star rating
I have been charged for the last two years £59.99 membership fee for Opodo prime without my authorization. Although we have purchased a flight ticket from them 3 years ago and entered the prime free membership trial. However we were not informed that the automatically membership fee of £59.99 applies for then onwards. I have tried to contact the company in anyway possible, but there is no phone or email address for their customer service. This is a daytime rubbery for the service we never used ever since. The information on their website is really poor too and the online virtual chat with "kris" is absolutely useless too.
Do not use company opodo, with them easily and quickly only during the sales stage. Further, they only imitate customer assistance. If you have problems through no fault of your own, you cannot contact them, either by e-mail or by phone, their website is useless just to spend time. The airline I was supposed to fly cancelled the flight and sent a refund of €353 opodo 15 days ago. Opodo has not yet transferred money to my account, this is just a deception used on the Internet
If I could give zero stars I would...i booked flight and received confirmation email, today I open app and I saw that my flight was cancelled. I called them to find out what was a reason, and they told me it was cancelled by my bank. Just wondering how they can send confirmation email with flight details and refence number, if they didnt get money?

Horrific! Booked a place to stay in Ericeira, arrived, had no contact details at all, just an address, could not get in and no info available at all, had to drive back to Lisbon and book a B&B with two small kids, thankfully we hired a car, if we'd had a hotel transfer we would have been left on the street overnight!
Opodo didn't want to know! I booked somewhere else through 'booking.com' who I've never had a problem with. New place was great.
On return to UK, I spent hours trying to get through and explain my complaint to try and get money back, after numerous long message threads explaining the issue, all they came back with was, 'the accommodation gave ample details, we should have contacted them! How could we have with no phone number, email or contact at all. JUST THE ADDRESS!

Requesting invoice for the purchased flights, already more than two weeks, the replies on the chat and call center is always: it's on its way, check your spam, you will receive it in 24 hours.
Today they said 72 hours
I won't give up on my invoice but will never use Opodo again
They offered a price freeze for a £75 flight for £7.50.
However, the full price of the flight is now over £150 with all kinds of extras added.
I then found out that a subscription was set up without my consent and had to instruct the bank to put a block on any future transactions and had to cancel my debit card as a precaution.

Answer: Guys, it would only cost you about £40 to take them to small claims court. Dont just take the loss, these people need to be held to account. Id also contact Rip Off Britain to get a programme made about their tactics
