Green Motion took 10 euros from my account for an apparent case of traffic violation without refusing to provide any valid proofs of what exactly happened and where. Green Motion kept saying I have to get in touch with the Albanian police and investigate myself. Not only completely unhelpful but also impossible as I am not the owner of the car and only such is entited for such procedures.
Check-in process take too long compared to other Rental companies. Insurance coverage $40 PER DAY! Is unreasonable; company does not honor prepaid discount insurance (avg: $10-12/day) from Exoedia, Hotwire Priceline or other brokers. Nice staff but frustratingly SLOW process - you are better off either Thrifty or Economy car rental if you in a hurry or value your time.

I use Green Motion on a regular basis. I have always found them to be professional and courteous, if people read the terms and conditions before arriving at the service desk and understand that you either need insurance or pay a deposit their would be no problems. People also need to know the difference between a debit card and a credit card, it's pretty simple

Green Motion debited my debit card of £400 in order to secure their Excess Insurance. 19 days since returning the car, I still have not had a refund. I've always been very satisfied with Green Motion in the past, but this time I was forced to use a debit card since my Credit Card was blocked for some reason. Because of this I had to take out Green Motion excess Insurance for £200 even though I had excess Insurance and incurred a debit of £400 on my debit card. When I collected the car, the oil warning light was on, so they changed the car. This car had low tyre pressure light on, which they "cleared" before I set off. 2 days later I realised that one of the tyres was almost flat. Pumped up at nearest garage and reset tyre pressure system. Tyre remained ok until I returned car 4 days later.

Great service - Only after returning the car, getting dropped off at the airport and going through security did i realise that i left my wallet in the car. Upon phoning, greenmotion got my wallet and brought it all the way through the airport to the security check (i wasnt allowed to go back out through security) Security then past my wallet to me. A life saver, as i was travelling onwards and had immediate need of it

I got to the airport late and to the rental booth in the Denver airport garage even later. Green motion is a small operation at the Denver Airport in December 2024. They saved a rental car for me. It was an upgrade to an AWD Jeep Cherokee at the same price. It made driving in the snow a breeze.

As a fairly regular customer of rental cars at Istanbul Airport, i have chosen Green Motion possibly more than other providers. I am generally satisfied with the price and particularly with the efficient and friendly service of the airport staff, both at the counter and at the pick-up/drop-off point. On this occasion I was given a free upgrade which was a nice gesture. My only negative point was that while the car was of a higher specification and more comfortable, it had a quite high kilometre reading and suffered from numerous knocks and scratches. My preference in future is for a car in a generally good condition rather than higher than requested specification. All in all, however, my experience of renting with Green Motion in Turkey is good while in the UK, it is not the case.

Car and office were very good the down side was it was nearly an hour waiting for the bus transfer from airport to office. The driver Dave was very unhelpful as well. We had 2 out of 3 people needing assistance to get onto the bus as the step was very high. He refused to assist meaning another passenger had to help them into and out of the bus.

Picked up the car from the central Sydney location. It wasn't exactly where we had been told, but found it. Car was in good condition. Dropped back and the process was also smooth. Only question I still haven't been answered is how to pay the tolls. No charge yet.

Pickup and drop off process worked well. Car was in good condition. Overall a good experience. The only thing which wasn't clear is how the toll charges would be recharged- I sent an email to Green Motion but no response.
The service here is superb however the after service is where I have my issue. It's almost 3 weeks later and my security deposit is still being held.

Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you.
Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
