Booked ticket for 3 times. Never confirmed. When I booked 3rd time. They sent me an email that price gone higher. I paid the difference, however after 1 week not received confirmed ticket. I called customer service and asked me to give me the any date any flight. Shockingly, they asked me to book again and pay for it again. A police complaint lodge against this company@ East London Police station. I had to threat them through a solicitor, got refund after 5 months. Do not use this bunch of scammers. Book directly to the airline. Little bit expensive but reliable.
Hired and paid for a car. Booking confirmation said I needed driver's license and international driver's license (if applicable). No details of what "if applicable" means and having travelled extensively in multiple countries for 20 years I assumed this would only be for a license from less reliable countries (not Australia) - I have never needed it before...
They refused to give me the car, refused to let me transfer to my wife (who had an international license) and refused a refund. Criminal in my opinion.
NOTE - I walked 20m to another car rental company who were happy to give me a car on my Australian license so it is not a legal requirement, just a way for them to scam unsuspecting tourists. Wish I could give it a negative star rating
The company will offer you a discounted flight; however, they will sign you up for prime membership and charge your credit card without your consent. Then it will take hours to speak to customer service and cancel the subscription you didn't sign for. You will be promised to receive an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation and to have the charge reversed in 10 to 15 business days. I don't have high hopes that Opodo will reverse the charge. For that reason, I disputed the transaction with my credit card provider.
Opodo's entire business plan: ignore and deflect. It's impossible to get any help. I needed to make a change because my mom was just diagnosed with incurable cancer. They couldn't care less, they just keep telling me I have to deal with the airline, which is an outright lie. They also send fake coupons to try to get you to buy from them. What a joke this company is! I cannot believe it's still operating. BEWARE!
I booked a ticket from Dublin to Dubai. While booking it showed that 1 check-in bag is allowed. After paying the money and finishing the booking, they say that bags are not allowed and asking for more money to add a bag. The flights are long-distance and without check-in bags, I can't travel. These guys are just a total rip off.
Don't book with them. Their customer service is the worst as well. They don't help and you have to wait for a response for like days.
Opodo were honeslty the worst, most stressful site I have ever booked with. They immediately took $700 from my account (half of the booking amount) and stated that my booking was 'pending' and would be confirmed within 24 hours. No response in 24 hours so I called up. It was almost impossible to find a number that was connected and I then waited 30 minutes on hold before speaking to an operator who assured me that would prioritise my booking and confirm it within another 24 hours. No response again, and after another 6 hours the booking was 'cancelled'. I called up again and was told my money did not go through, it was only 'pending' and would be returned in 48 hours. Still have no received the money. Would not recommend
One of the "ostensible cheaper" service. After booking I faced with extra "eDreams fee" which in addition was not refundable. And finally when the airline canceled one of my flight, had to wait half of year for a refund!
Got charged £750 to amend my booking, almost half of which was opooooodo rip off fee for taking advantage of my disability and having to have another operation! Customer service put me on hold for 1 1/2 hours in total! Customer service don't speak or understand English well at all and all in all make it a very disappointing experience and would never use or recommend them!
Never again! Disgusting service, impossible to connect and once you get them on the phone they keep saying that the line is breaking and they dont hear you... when you are asking for the flight cancellation and refund! Even if your flight is with Lufthansa (not low cost airlines!)
They are very tricky - no possibility to change or cancel your flight with al least some refund! Very disappointed!

No user -friendly way of getting back our money, either in £ or in services, from Opodo although they will have got our money back from BA due to pre-paid flight cancellation (12 months on), They sent us a "thank you " voucher for £20 that we can redeem online(who would book with them post Covid?), but the £400 plus we paid for a flights - to redeem our credit, we have to ring them and - surprise surprise - no-one answers
Soul destroying experience. I can usually detect scam vibes but these guys took my money for a flight they couldn't book because the airline has blocked them. Do not trust the prices. This company send you in circles with no resolution and no human contact. I have had to buy an entire new flight. They are a scam and the good reviews are likely planted by them. They are a sophisticated scam so don't be fooled! Book direct with the airline or provider!
I would give Opodo zero stars if I could. I cannot believe they are still able to operate as a travel agent - they are shockingly bad. They took £2000 out of my bank account without booking the holiday (despite sending a booking confirmation) and we only realised when we went to check into our flight. My mother had just died so was keen to book another holiday over Christmas elsewhere (with another company) but they were unable to process an immediate refund so I could pay for something else. They advised 7-10 working days for refund but it's 12 working days later and still no money back into my jaccount. Absolutely disgraceful and complete cowboys.
When we rang them to enquire as to where the money is they have said we need to pay £10 for them to find out the status of the refund. Unbelievable.
Wow. Just booked a flight with Opodo after being screwed by Thomas cook. They took the money from my account (barring in mind my flight is in 24hrs) and the booking status just read "pending". They took the money from my account, held it and then 12 hours before my flight they informed me it was a mistake and the flight was not booked. Forcing me to scour the internet for more flights at the last minute. The best thing is, the money will be returned to me in 72 hours to 10 days. Thanks a $#*!ing lot Opodo. One job you have, book people's travel arrangements. One job. And you can't do that. Joke of a company. Everyone should avoid these. No better than Thomas cook. Absolutely useless. AVOID!
We know what they are doing is deceitful and probably fraudulent. I've just been caught the same way, but as long as people use them in their thousands they will continue their dubious practice.
Has anyone considered going legal? I'm going through the Ombudsman at the moment but the worst that will happen to Opodo is they will have to refund the money they questionably took from me.
How about a class action? From the reviews I've read there must be thousands of disgruntled customers out there. Several hundred going through the courts might get them to change practice, or go out of business.

Wish I could give ZERO stars. The worst experience ever. Not only was I waiting for over an hour for them to pick up- then they lied to me that TAP Portugal is not allowing to book an extra luggage any other way than via them because this is what some airlines do. They wanted £215 for check-in bag plus £45 service fee! When I said I called 2h ago and price was £135 the rude guy said that this is HOW market works and I have to pay twice as previous price and that I am the one to blame as I surely was informed about that during my first call. What? I certainly was not. What kind of company does things like this? After that worthless phone call I checked TAP Portugal website and I was able to add baggage to my booking for £122 so half of the price plus no £45 fees! So thank you for lying to me bunch of thieves. Never again. Be aware people. This is my first review ever - this is how disappointed I'm with this service.
Worst company ever. Just so useless. Customer care is terrible. Booked a flight with Opodo. Checked in the night before and confirmation from Opodo. Arrived at the airport to be told by the airline I wasn't on the flight. Opodo kept me on hold for an hour and told me to book another flight instead and I would be refunded. At the airport spent 300 on another flight that day. Opodo ignored my claims for a refund and told me to resubmit my claim even tho the agent said he got the receipt and my previously submitted claim. Furthermore he said it's not their problem. Reported it to sky scanner and then Opodo began to respond. Asked for bank details to refund my money nearly 6 months later. Just check out their facebook page all the bad comments under posts are hidden. Absolute fraudulent company. How is this company allowed to be in business. Avoid is company at all costs. They make it difficult to get a refund or even contact them in an effort to make you give up.
I booked return ticket with Opodo from London to Vilnius, flighing on 12/03 and returning on 14/03. Checked the dates 3 times (as I always do) and clicked thr "pay" button. Couple of minutes later received the confirmation from Opodo with return date on 04/04. Their customer service must be receiving complaints about the wrong flight dates all the time because when I called them they said (of course) it was my fault, I must have selected the wrong dates, yet offered refund straight away.
Reading google reviews later I realised how extremely lucky I was. Other travellers who had the same issues with Opodo only realised that they had the wrong dates in Opodo confirmation email when they tried to check in. By that time it was too late and Opodo would refuse any refund.
Don't think I will ever try my luck with Opodo again!
Waiting time is like hell and they don't solve your problem they ask me to tell the airline to get in touch with him I don't understand what they are getting paid for as they don't do there job properly I have already contacted the airline and they are ready to give full refund but this people really ridiculous and frustrated
Please do not book with this company, my flights were cancelled due to covid. I am still waiting for my refund over a year later. They have lied all along the way, my refund status keeps going back stages. It was we have sent your claim to airline. Now has gone back to processing your claim. They blame the airline but they have my money. Please they are thieves who steal from people. I will make it my life's mission to make sure people stop wasting their hard earned money on them. Please do not book through them
Booked flights for next year a few weeks ago. Got an email today saying the flights were booked for this month. Called customer support to change the flight, they said there were no other flights so nothing they could do. He then said he could only refund me £80 (we paid nearly £400) even though it wasn't my fault. I had to argue with him for about 5 minutes before he agreed to put me through to a manager. The manager then disconnected my call. I called back again and spoke to potentially the only helpful person in this company who after about 15 minutes on hold said he could refund me £219. I have spent an hour and 40 minutes on the phone today. Lost nearly £200. Will not use this company again. Will warn everyone I know. 10/10 stay away from this company!

Answer: Guys, it would only cost you about £40 to take them to small claims court. Dont just take the loss, these people need to be held to account. Id also contact Rip Off Britain to get a programme made about their tactics
Answer: You can complain all you like but once they have your money they dont give a tinkers cuss. Best form of complaint is social media like this site and face book.
