MyTAXPrepOffice

I prepared about 220 returns for 2021 tax season. 80% were 1065 and 1120 forms. I was able to meet every requirement and file all the returns more quickly than with my old professional software.

This software is cheap and you definitely get what you pay for - cheap crap that doesn't work. Even worse, the customer support and service is atrocious. After spending less than 4 weeks with this software, I encountered numerous issues. The software was constantly crashing and not saving my work, my clients were complaining about the portal to upload tax documents not working, and the software itself is just tedious and not user-friendly at all. Finally, I decided to request a refund. I had to contact customer support 5 times to finally get a response, and after 4 days of waiting and 3 phone conversations, they denied my refund and cited their illogical return policy - even though their servers were malfunctioning and I never filed a single return. And to add insult to injury, customer service insulted me, basically called me a liar, and pretty much stole my money - which just shows you how desperate they are. If they really had a good product, they would not be so unwilling to give a refund when it is completely justified and the product was not used to file any returns.

I have a lot problems whit my system but the IT personal support are very patient with me and kindly helped me to resolved all my question and they are very professional guide me into the system. Thanks a lot for you support. TOMAS ORTIZ

Customer support is appreciated. Software can be accessed from anywhere. Easy to use.

I would like to thank MyTAXPrepOffice and their employees. Great customer service and continuing advancement in tax preparation has helped me when I needed it. It has made my job a lot easier.

I have been preparing taxes (Tax Accountant) for many years both as an employee of the companies and as a self-employed person. I won't say how many years because you will guess my age, however I remember preparing personal returns without computers. I have worked in sales tax, payroll tax, income taxes: Federal and State & Local. I finally retired from corporate world and ventured out totally on my own as an Enrolled Agent. The first software company I used left me high and dry during tax season. I found MyTAXPrepOffice software and never looked back.

In my career I have used some of the top software companies to prepare sales tax, income tax and payroll taxes. I have spent many hours on the phone waiting to get results on return errors. Sometimes it took weeks to get an answer and sometime the answer was not correct. Every year the prices of tax software can go up by hundreds of dollars. MyTAXPrepOffice software is very reasonable in price and support has been great.

I am very happy with MyTAXPrepOffice and I will continue to use them in the future.

I have been using My TAXprepoffice for 10 years and have gotten EXCELLENT service fron ALL areas! From the beginning till the end. Always polite and professional, and definitely up to speed on the technical side. And the service doesn't just stop at the end of tax season, they are there for you till the next seasons begins! I was just on the phone with Jesiah with tech support. I have normally always had great help from others on this team. Today Jesiah helped me get to the bottom of a line issue I was having on a schedule. He was direct and helped me resolve this issue. I felt that he really cared about me.

I'm a new user of the My Tax Prep Office software. I feel using it will be easy & productive as I have been a user of Pro Series since 1986. Most of the features of Pro Series have been incorporated into
The My Tax Prep Office software so that is very satisfying to me. I am the owner and President of

This will be my third tax season using this software. Thankfully I have not had the problems that many of the reviewers have experienced. 2017 was very frustrating but with their help I made it through. My main complaint is the State. It is always so late being approved and you have to really check the calculations closely. For Virginia, it often miscalculates the allocation between the Spouses. I had several returns last year that calculated a state refund and taxpayers received a letter from the State stating that their return has been corrected. Very embarrassing to a Tax Accountant with over 40 years experience. I always used Drake which in my opinion is the best you can buy. However I am now semi-retired and only prepare less than 100 returns. Drake would be too expensive for me now. My biggest concern is the State portion of the software. I am expecting 2019 software to be much better, but you can bet I will pay close attention to the calculations which really slows preparation down. I would suggest that they hire more people who understand taxes to answer chat. Sometimes takes a while to get an answer. If this year causes the same problems, I will return to Drake for their pay per return for small businesses and pass the cost along to my clients.
