Bob's has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. There isn't even a close second. First, they delivered the mattress and were to remove my old mattress. After paying $176 for White Glove delivery, they left the mattress and footboard in my driveway, leaning against the light pole which they broke. No one did anything after 8 phone calls and a visit to the Farmingdale store. It was there for 8 days
I then had a problem with the mattress and went to the store to exchange it for a different type. The new mattress was order on March 2. Delivery was about 30 days out and they scheduled it for Easter Weekend. I called them last week to tell them that we are not available those days and needed to delivered the following week. They refused and told me I had to "wait until sometime in May because they only delivery in my neighborhood once a month." After telling them that I had broke my back and spinal surgery and MUST have the mattress ASAP, they said they'd call me within 24 hours to reschedule. 4 days later, no call. I went on their chat line and went through the entire dance all over again. They simply refuse to make the change and cannot tell me when someone would call me to reschedule the delivery date.
AVOID BOB'S DISCOUNT FURNITURE AT ALL COSTS. SPEND A BIT MORE MONEY AND YOU WILL SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION AND ANGER AND HAVING TO DEAL WITH THEIR TOTAL LACK OF CARE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS
Bobs seems to have a great selection of furniture and so far I love the product we purchased from them. However that is unfortunately the only positive comment I can give regarding my experience. The customer service I received at this location was absolutely appalling. The salesman and manager that I spoke with were incredibly condescending during my whole time in the store. The salesman did not seem to know anything about the furniture he was selling and kept asking me for the specifications of the entertainment center I was buying as he did not seem to know anything about it. When he finished his part of the sale, he brought his manager over to "double check" the sale, and then they both proceeded in trying to pressure me into things I had already said I did not want to purchase. For instance, I was very confident in my husbands and my ability to pick up the furniture and put it together ourselves, but the manager and salesman were very doubtful that we could do this and tried over and over again to tell me how difficult it would be and get us to buy their white glove service. They also said if we picked up ourselves it would take 3-4 weeks longer to come in than if we had it delivered, which ended up not being true at all.
Then we were told our entire set had come in when actually only half of it came in. Once we received all the pieces we discovered that they had not given us all the screws we needed. We wanted to call the store and tried at least a dozen times over several days to get ahold of someone at the store and no one ever answered the customer service phone. We even called the corporate office and had them transfer me and I was never able to get anyone to pick up so we just went to a hardware store to find something that would work.
They have great products, but I will never shop there again.
I WENT TO BOB'S IN MILFORD CT AND WAS HELPED BY WANDA SHE WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. WOULD DEAL WITH HER AGAIN.

Bought a sofa, love seat, ottoman and coffee table in the beginning of December, 17, was told everything was in stock and would be delivered on the 6th, I took the day off of work for the delivery. I received a call saying that the sofa that they just told me was in stock, was not available until the 12th. When it will definitely be in stock, so they delivered the loveseat, the ottoman and the coffee table on the 6th, the coffee table was very damaged, looked like a used table, like a return from someone else, not happy about that. I took off on the 12th expecting delivery of the sofa and the new coffee table, just got a call today the 8th saying the sofa will not be available until the 14th now because it is not in stock. Called customer service, they said there was nothing they could do, they do NO type of compensation for the complete inconvenience that they caused for their customer, and when I told them I would NEVER shop at Bobs again, it seemed like they could care less. We will see what happens on the 14th... this is the first time buying anything from Bobs, such a shame, what an embarrasment
Was sold a more expensive couch cause it was in STOCK but it wasn't. Management refused to admit the mistake. WARNING DON'T BUY at BOB'S!
Cheaply made leg broke on sectional. Zippers broke on cushions would not recommend to any. Stay way from this trash furniture store!

Do not buy from Bob's! This should be 0 stars! They ruined my holiday and my child's birthday! We ordered furniture in October. Was told the furniture would be on back order until mid December. We were fine with this. I called the first week of December to get an idea when the furniture might be in. We were told all the furniture was in and they had us scheduled for delivery on 12/15. I moved the delivery until the 19th since the 15th I was working. On the 18th I received a text that not all the furniture was in. After waiting on hold for an hour, I finally got a customer care rep on the phone. I was told the furniture would not be available now until the 26th. So we rescheduled for the 26th. Now we have NO furniture in our living room and I received a text Christmas morning that not all our furniture was available. I couldn't call because it was Christmas and this morning the "partial" delivery arrives. The delivery driver comes in my home and tells me all the furniture is damaged and he was NOT unloading it into my house. I went to the store and they tell me there is nothing they can do. And my furniture will not all be available until the end of January. Again we have NO FURNITURE! I took a full refund and now left to search again for furniture! Absolutely HORRIBLE! DO Not buy from Bob's!
WOW. Just Wow. I really have ever been screwed over more by a company in my life. Ordered a love seat for my new apartment. Paid $100 delivery fee. Got delivered. Guys refused to bring it into my apartment. Left it blocking the stairs to the building prohibiting anyone from getting into or out of their apartments and preventing the front door from being able to close. Had a neighbor help me get it into my apartment. GOt it in only to find that they delivered the incorrect pieces. Two left sides of the couch. Waited on hold for 45 mins for customer service. Got connected with someone who said they would help me on Saturday(4 days after the original scheduled delivery) Then I'm like ok well at least I can sit on one side of the couch... take the plastic off only to find that one side of the couch is stained and the other side is ripped. Call customer service back only to wait on hold for an hour and a half and have my call disconnected. Sent several email requests called several times every time with hour or longer hold times that I couldn't wait. FInnally FINNNALLLY get in touch with a customer service representative who then puts me on an additional hold for another 30 minutes while she's trying to get approval from a supervisor for a refund. I get in contact with said supervisor who tells me that BObs does not do refunds and that they can't help me. Then proceeds to tell me that they can't even come replace the couch for another 10 days. I AM BEYOND ENRAGED BY THIS TRASH COMPANY. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! 1
Purchased couch, love seat and matching leather chair.
Delivered as promised but love seat was missing four center support legs. Delivery team also left a mess outside my home. I discovered problem minutes after delivery truck left. When a person sat on the love seat the frame bowed downward toward the floor. Store could not communicate with truck and they mailed two support legs weeks later. Manager of Union store determined love seat should be replaced.
Replacement love seat arrives weeks later. Delivery team # 2 does a good job installs all four support legs and L brackets supplied with love seat. Team # 2 also inspects couch and chair. They advise L brackets are missing on couch and single recliner. This is reported but problem never addressed. Team # 2 leaves.
After sitting on love seat we discover recliner feature on love seat # 2 does not function properly. Store notified. Repairman arrives weeks later. Within a minute it is determined it is "a manufacturer problem" and love seat # 2 needs to be replaced.
Weeks later love seat # 3 arrives. It is discovered in driveway that love seat # 3 damaged. Torn leather. Delivery not accepted.
At this point I ask that Bob's take back entire set and refund my money. Bob's agree to refund but pick up date has to be a week later.
Pick up team arrives: They do not have tools needed to remove legs so furniture can fit
Out the door. I had to supply tools to remove legs.
When they attempted to remove couch legs it was discovered that one leg was cross threaded when it was installed. It was not fully tight and could not be removed.
Removal team scratches hardwood floor and puts a one inch notch in my front door.
Happy day all Bob's furniture returned.
They requested my credit card number the day before pickup and said I would be given a full refund on my credit card as soon as the furniture was on the truck.
When I called the store they now state it will be five business days before the refund is posted. So far two days no refund and credit card company reports no posting of refund.

Refinished our house with different items from Bob's big furniture from a mattress to living room furniture, barstools, etc.
Our reclining couch has broke, with two hours on hold, and having the good proof protection our couch has not been fixed after 3 months of waiting, a technician came buy and said he had the wrong part and left quick. Still waiting.
The living room chair is made so bad we are nervous to sit on it.
We ordered online At Bob's discount furniture, four barstools. When we tried to put them together the screws would not tighten into their threaded holes, very poor craftsmanship, we had to re-box these four barstools and ship them back, we have not received our money back for these barstools it's been two months. At this point we realized we need to cancel the mattress immediately which was a king size and the best brand. They were fighting me all the way, Insisting that they were going to send it to us anyway, however I told them we were to not except the mattress On the attempted delivery and we did get refunded. Our lamp finally showed up after a couple of months it was cracked and the box was crushed,?
We did get a wooden end table for the living room and so far it doesn't seem like we have any problems with that, so far
Overall the experience has been horrible and can only hope that this reaches at least one of you that are smart enough to just take our word for it. This is not about you reading this and Savng you money, really, it's about taking business from Bob's discount furniture as they don't deserve it and as you can read there are many that feel the same way.
They are awful. There is a huge difference between what they say and what they do. It's easy to pay but hard to get your furniture. Avoid them!

We furnished our whole home using only Bobs. PLEASE DONT WASTE TIME AND MONEY and DO NOT ALLOW THE MANAGER TO CONVINCE YOU TO PURCHASE INSURANCE. The manager that charged us told me to purchase it because for barely $100, i can get the whole thing replaced. In this case i purchased a mechanical 3 seat recliner. So i thought alright, things happen, might as well get insurance.
Its had mechanical problems since week 1, my cat teared up some of the leather, and when the manager at the Bobs on 22 (in NJ)sold it to me, he told me i should definitely purchase the insurance since i do have a pet, and any little incident will be covered, i can get a whole new couch at any given time in the next 5 years! I opened 3 claims on the same couch, with 3 different problems, and they denied the 3. Its a SCAM. Its mediocre furniture so you get what you pay for, but don't fall for the insurance scam. I hate that the manager there pushed the insurance on us, promised us we can get a replacement just because, in the next 5 years... its never ok to fool your clients into buying into a scam He even said I can go there in person and speak to him, that's a lie. Made himself seem available and approachable and honest. Bobs wash their hands and tell us to call the insurance company, since there 2 separate departments. The insurance might me a scam, but why push it on clients telling a web of lies to sell it? The insurance is a huge scam and im a bit mad about it. None of my family and friends will be returning. Hope i save soem of you time and money.

On January 19,2020 I purchase a mattress at Bob's Furniture Discount located at 2146 Bartow ave Bronx NY ******* for the amount of $507.00. On February 25,2020 I walk in to a Bob's store at located on 250 E Rte 59, Nanuet, NY ******* requesting a refund for the mattress because I was very unhappy with it. A young lady at the store took all my information as well as my card information and stated that I will see in my account within 8-10 business days. On February 28,2020 approximately around 2:00pm the Mattress got picked up by bob's team. I patiently waited days before I reached out to customer services. A gentleman in costumer services stated that he doesn't know why I haven't received my refund but that he was able to see it was process. He also stated I should wait. Today I spoke to costumer services again and they kept placing me on hold trying to find out where was my refund and again no answer. Then I was transfer to the initial store where I purchased my item and the person on the phone was very unprofessional and again was unable to give me any answers.
My wife has searched for a stand for our 65" HDTV for more than a year. She finally found a piece she really liked at Bob's; a LACY 4DR/4DWR Console In Chadwick White ($624.33, delivered). The first one delivered was damaged (it looked like someone had tried to repair damage on one of the rear corners. They left that piece while we waited another week for a replacement piece. The replacement was also damaged. My wife spoke with customer service about her frustration. We were willing to keep the first piece if Bob's offered a reasonable discount; they offered $149.70. That was almost enough to cover delivery and taxes; we declined. We were then told that that they would make a "special" delivery which would involve examining the piece before placing it on the truck for delivery. Because of the special attention, delivery would take 2 weeks instead of the usual 1 week. We would rather wait than get another damaged piece. The delivery was very annoying; using Bob's delivery tracker, we saw we were stop #4, but they were at stop #5. When I saw them at stop #8, I called to find out why we were skipped. It was very frustrating time trying to get someone on the phone, then we were told the driver's could deliver in whatever order they felt was better (so the tracker can be useless. Te piece arrives and at first glance, it looked okay. Then my wife started to wipe it down, as it was very dusty. Only then did the damage become obvious. There were at least 6 or 7 issues. We called and told Bob's we wanted to come back, get this piece, and refund our money. They wanted to send someone else to fix the piece or have us come in and pick a different piece. I told her, we don't want another delivery, another piece, or wait until another 2 weeks (the earliest they could send a repair technician) to have someone come fix it. She told me they couldn't refund our money, but offered store credit. There's no way I'm ever going to buy anything from them when they couldn't deliver the piece I wanted undamaged.
Bob's Discount Furniture has been sued across the country several times for discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and more. See Vizzaccaro vs Bob's, Arbouin vs Bob's, Outlaw vs Bob's, Nunaley vs Bob's; just to name a few. There continues to be an all-white store in Shelby Twp, where all of the African-American employees were fired, harassed, transferred or quit because of the extreme prejudice from former Manager and current employees. Bob's claims they did not fit into the 'culture' of elite Shelby Twp. Now Bob's is trying to get into sealed settlements to cover all of this up. They have been reported to the EEOC, ACLU, and soon to the DOJ and the AG.
I really wish I would have read the reviews before ordering any furniture from Bob's. We ordered a Bedroom furniture set, a side chair, and a bar with 4 stools in May of 2022. The first furniture to arrive was the bedroom furniture. No issues with those (hence the 1 star). Then the chair for that room arrived... with no legs. A few weeks later they showed up with the legs, but then no hardware to actually put the legs on. Then they showed up a few weeks later with a whole chair, an invoice for a second chair. THEN, the stools for the bar show up, 2 legs on 2 of the chairs are completely split down the middle. In regards to the bar, every month I received an email stating the delivery has been pushed back to the following month... FOR 8 MONTHS I received this email. Finally, I found somebody local to build the bar but it cost me twice as much. I just wanted it done and Bob's out of my life. Their customer service agent told me to call back and ask for an "accommodation" for my troubles. Called the store "the most we can give you is a $100 refund to your card you used for payment". Three weeks go by, no credit. Called again... "the most we can give you is a $100 refund to your card you used for payment". Another three weeks go by. Called the 860-812-111 number and was told it wasn't a refund to my card, it was a gift card and that they would not be giving me any type of credit towards my account for my troubles. This company is complete garbage just like their furniture. Not only are their employees liars, but they really just don't give a sh*t about customer service. You can take your $100 gift card and shove it.

Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Answer: We purchased a couch from Bobs 1/19/20, the couch had issues from the start but with the pandemic we did not feel comfortable having technicians n the house. Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
