I've never been so pissed off in my life. Bob's furniture gave me a time frame from 345 to 745 they didn't show up at my house until 9pm... On top of that they were at the wrong house but they couldn't understand me because they didn't speak a lick of English. They kept asking if I wanted a different delivery day... No I've been home all $#*!ing day waiting for you guys. And I can see your damn truck they were awful never again will I ever go to Bob's
I told a complete sofa set from bobs furtniture at flatbush brooklyn the name of the sales rep was DEMAR. The time while we were purchasing it he told us oll good stories about the goof up protection and oll. We purchaed this complete sofa set. We got our delivered within 12 days the very nxt day of when my got the sofa my side lamp was broken which they got it replaced... Then it was not even a month old my coffe table started bubbling and the wood from down starting cracking oll by it self. I cald the goof up protection and they were like you can send us the images we will have a review & get back to you... Which took a long time after that i finally got a reply stating sorry your request has been denied... Because we think thats your mistake... Cmon how can it be my mistake the furniture is even not a month old i have no childrens at home how can it happend... They use the cheaper quality of wood... They just makng people fool... Please please please people font ever ever thing of goin out there and purchasing anything... Please save your hard earn money... Rather than wasting on something cheap like this... Its better to be without furniture rather than buying it from bobs furniture... Please save your money...
I went to their store and was told that the item was only available online. I went home and ordered it that night, this was a Saturday. A few minutes later, I got a call about scheduling a delivery. It was agreed for scheduled delivery in 2 days (Monday). The next day(Sunday), I got a call that they don't deliver on the delivery date. It was then rescheduled for Thursday and will be notified again 24 hours before delivery. I did not get a call, so I decided to follow-up. I called and was told by their Woodland Hills store that the order was not there. The agent told me that she will check and leave a note that she will call me the next day. Thursday came, I called their CT office to check for the delivery only to be told that the order was cancelled because it was flagged as fraudulent. I didn't get any notification that it was cancelled, I didn't get any email or a call. On top of that, the charge was still in my account. They claim that the refund was issued that Monday, two days after the order was made. To make things worst, if I want to buy that same couch, I have to go to the store, show them my ID to confirm that the transaction was not fraudulent to purchase the couch online again, which I could not do right away because the refund that they claim they did is not back at my account. We had some guest for that Friday, needless to say, we had to cancel it because we don't have a couch in the place that we just moved in to.
My daughter and I went into the Natick Massachusetts store, not hoping for much since my interactions with other furniture stores weren't so great. The salesperson Joanne Sawyer was very helpful and knowledgeable. She was very welcoming and was amazing with my daughter and our needs. I would definitely recommend this location to my friends and family because of the interaction I had with the salesperson
We bought a kids loft bed for our son. The wood split when they were assembling it, we reported it that day. A drawer on the bed is broken also. They had someone come out to paint over the split wood. The paint did not even match. We called and they said they would replace the entire bed. Today they came out had all the wrong pieces my husband said that he thought they were replacing the entire bed he said no just parts. This new rail has a hole in it. This place is a joke. Cheapest materials and the price wasn't cheap. Completely dissatisfied will never shop here again. I wish I could upload pictures.
Bought this sofa over year ago and the memory foam seems to have amnesia, the couch did not hold up very long before deforming and losing it's comfort. I wouldn't recommend this to my worse enemy. Definition of the worse in the industry this product would top the charts..
Though the delivery men did not show up on the schedule date I was called by the corporate offices and informed that my furniture would arrive in a few days. True to their word the furniture arrived a few days later in the early morning hours. The delivery men set up my sofa bed in a matter of minutes and politely accepted the small tip given to them. I will definitely shop at Bob's Discount Furniture again.
Delivery crew left with a table that wobbled. They sent a tech who fixed the pedestal wobble but the tabletop still wobbles. Tech said he tightened screws and table was fine. TOLD HIM NOT ACCEPTABLE AND HE SAID HE WOULD SUBMIT REPORT. HE SUBMITTED REPORT THAT TABLE WAS FINE___LIE LIE. IT IS NOT FINE AND THEY ARE NOT GOING TO DO A THING ABOUT IT BECAUSE OF TECH REPORT. I was delivered a broken dresser. The company said they will deliver a new dresser a week later. On the day of the second delivery, the driver called and said he will be at the house earlier then expected and asked us to at the home at a certain time. My wife changed her whole schedule to come home early and accept the delivery. After waiting for an hour she called customer service and they said that the delivery was cancelled due to poor weather. No one called and let her know that the delivery was not coming anymore. Bobs prices are decent but the service is the worst I have ever encountered. We have no idea when the dresser will be delivered and if it will come in working condition. I rather pay a little more but know that I will getting proper service and furniture that is not broken.
Do not buy anything from here they have the worst customer service ever. I brought a dinning room table from here and they delivered it damaged. Called customer serviced while the delivery people was there and they said to keep it and they would send replacement arms for the damaged chair and to call back in when i get them and they would send someone out to replace them. Wanted 2 month to get the arms via UPS. Called customer care back to have someone come out and they tell me they one service my area on Wednesday and that they could not come out any other day. So not either i take off a day of work to have them replace the arms or have damaged furniture. What ever happen to the customer is always right will not here it what they say of nothing at all.
Purchased a recliner/sofa in 2015. Have had several issues and after a struggle every time they have fixed the problem. In Oct/Nov 2017 we had seam separation and tears. They said our pets did it, which they didn't. They ordered us a seat at no cost and said they would install it when we get it. Since that time the same thing is happening to the right side and I call Guardian and they state that Bob's CS should handle it and that I paid for 5 years of coverage. Called Bob's. They sent me back to Guardian who again sent me back to Bob's. This is ridiculous, no one wants to help.
Last call this morning said I was no longer covered because I didn't buy extra protection and I could purchase the cushion for $150 and they would install it for a fee once we receive it. This is just ridiculous. I have purchased several things since then and spent a good amount of money. Well I think I need to take my business elsewhere to a company that cares. I will make sure when friends ask a good place for furniture it won't be Bob's.
I call today about repair for my sofa and they told me I have to pay $79 plus taxes because my warranty it was expired May 2017 I thought it was 10 years warranty this is the fourth time I call the come before and they fix the sofa the material theyre very poor the foundation plywood in the sofa it break four times my father is very upset because he buy the sofa and he has to pay! Worst experience I've ever had dealing with any delivery in my house ever. Delivery company scratched my door frame and brand-new screen door delivering the furniture then tried to bully my wife into signing a no damage paper before they left. Bob's furniture told me I had to deal with the delivery company and that they were the ones responsible not Bob's the company I bought the furniture from and that if it was settled that it was their fault they would do something for me later on down the line. After several months of going back-and-forth with the delivery company and then basically being called a racist on the phone by their customer service. I then called Bob's and threaten to call my local new stations consumer alert at which point I was then called back by Bob's and told me that they would make sure that one of the two estimates I got to fix my frame and door would be paid by the delivery company. So after weeks of waiting for the check I realize that Bob's never did anything for all my trouble the delivery company paid me the money and Bob's didn't really care about me as a customer because they won't give me anything for all of my trouble
It's been 3 years since we bought a 100% 3 seater leather sofa and bought 5 year protection. When we bought the sofa, the sales representative clearly told us that any small damages to leather, stitched, accidents will be covered. They said Bob's will come to home fix the issues. There are 5 different areas in my sofa where the stiches are are separated and leather is damaged. The customer care representative came by to home and he reports to the customer care that the sofa is as per standards. He reports that due to the usage that wear happening is common. We paid 1100$ for the sofa set and it's pure leather not used often.
The customer care is rude and hasn't resolved the issue. I wouldn't recommend BOB's.

First time customer at Bob's and I am not going back there. I spent over $1,200 on a dining set plus protection ordered from the Falls Church, VA branch. Pretty decent, solid set which I hope will last. It was delivered without issue but a week after delivery, I noticed that one of the chairs was properly put together and it looked like there was a botched attempt to repair it. The wood was also chipped.
I carried the chair back to the store a week later (this is two weeks after delivery) to show them the issue. "That's a pity", the guys says as he is writing down a number. "Here, call customer service". That was when I learnt the hard way all the stores do is to take your money. Anything beyond the sale needs to be directed to customer care. I will share here two statements from officer and store manager at Falls Church VA to give you a sense of what to expect:
1. Sorry but Bob's is not a mom and pop store. It's an institution so I cannot just walk into the store for support. That is not the company's policy.
2. Sorry, you have your views and I have mine and we are not going to agree on this (this was when I was protesting that they need to do something).
Now I am waiting to see how the drama unfolds but can you imagine if this firm grew as big as Ikea for example? I need to make time to receive a technician to come evaluate the situation. Then I will be told what to do next. All for a $100 chair... I now understand all the negative reviews. I should have done my homework first but I am not buying from them again. You are better off with stores with good after-sales service. Hayneedle was quite good supporting me with my last issue. IKEA has always been very good.
Secondly, the goof protection is over-sold! What the salesman told me was very different from the terms and conditions in the contract. Again, I should have known better. I was talking to a salesman afterall! I bought it because I have kids and, in the words of the salesman, the warranty was for ANY damage except intentional damage. His explanation of "intentional damage" was very different. Please ask for and read the terms and conditions of the policy and I am pretty sure you can find better use for your money.
I had 2 wonderful experiences when purchasing furniture from Bob's in Wilmington, DE. I first ordered furniture from Samantha. She was polite and fun to work with. It helped that I went online and looked at everything prior to going to the store (bedroom set, dinning set, living room). I had pictures on my phone and questions that I wanted to ask. Samantha was able to answer my questions and showed me a different sofa based on learning about my likes/dislikes. I ended up going with the sofa she suggested. After delivery, I realized I forgot to order a piece (the sideboard to my dinning set). I went back to Bob's and worked with Wesley Garnet. Wesley was professional and courteous. He was even able to schedule my delivery. The delivery men were also nice, set everything up, and continued to check that each item was where I wanted it to be. Bob's does offerer furniture protection (Goof Proof) that is good for 5 years. The price of this is based on each item. I only got it on the sofa. I do recommend getting the Bob's fabric spot treatment cleaner. I got a small stain on my sofa that came right out.
Sofa broke after one month. I purchased the warranty but they would not repair or replace! Do not buy from this place
I bought the wing recliner I love it. Fit perfect in the space I had for it, love the fabric. It is a very solid chair and the price was great! Big Bald Dave was the nicest salesman... I will definitely shop there again.
Bought a sofa, love seat, ottoman and coffee table in the beginning of December, 17, was told everything was in stock and would be delivered on the 6th, I took the day off of work for the delivery. I received a call saying that the sofa that they just told me was in stock, was not available until the 12th. When it will definitely be in stock, so they delivered the loveseat, the ottoman and the coffee table on the 6th, the coffee table was very damaged, looked like a used table, like a return from someone else, not happy about that. I took off on the 12th expecting delivery of the sofa and the new coffee table, just got a call today the 8th saying the sofa will not be available until the 14th now because it is not in stock. Called customer service, they said there was nothing they could do, they do NO type of compensation for the complete inconvenience that they caused for their customer, and when I told them I would NEVER shop at Bobs again, it seemed like they could care less. We will see what happens on the 14th... this is the first time buying anything from Bobs, such a shame, what an embarrasment
Product quality is poor and there is no customer support. The faux leather covering on two club chairs we bought literally began to crumble. Customer service was contacted and did send a rep to examine the items. The rep agreed that the product was defective and that we would be contacted by customer service to have it fixed. Customer service did not call, but I called them only to be told that nothing would be done, because we were not under warranty. Bob's would do nothing to fix the problem. The identical situation happened to a similar piece of furniture bought from Bob's by a friend. The furniture's covering disintegrated. Bob's would do nothing to make repair it or make restitution. Obviously, furniture bought at Bob's is of poor quality. Save yourself time and aggravation. Make your furniture purchase elsewhere.

Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Michael Skirvin the CEO is a jerk and a poor man's 2-bit used car salesman.

Answer: We purchased a couch from Bobs 1/19/20, the couch had issues from the start but with the pandemic we did not feel comfortable having technicians n the house. Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
