This has got to be one of the most dishonest companies I have ever dealt with in my life. Web support is dishonest and gives you the runaround. Will make assumptions based on one photo without requesting more information. They sold me a coffee table they knew had issues and just wanted to dump inventory instead of returning the merchandise to the merchant they purchased it from.
This is the most unorganized Company i've ever did business with. Be aware of their Lies about their delivery date.they will take your money and leave you out to hang without Notifying you. Then make you wait to get your money back. I hope you folks listen to me and stay away from this store.
On May 16,2023, we had a dresser delivered to our house. The crew outside dumped an old mattress on the street, next to a tree across from our house. My neighbors saw them and called me but the truck had already left. I spent 25 minutes trying to get ahold of the dispatch. I called customer service. I'm now told the earlier they can pick it up is May 19th. Worse, the crew denied it. These people should be fired for dumping mattresses. Now, I am responsible if we get a fine from City.
I spent over $6000 at Bob's and when I got the delivery notification I called customer service. They couldn't pull up my order by phone number. Red flag idiots. They had my phone number entered incorrectly but the reply said he'd fix it. I told him when I bought the furniture I couldn't take delivery until after 11:15 and they said call in when you get the window and tell them. I. Doing so it was noted not to deliver prior to 11:30. Apparently they showed up at 9:30, said they called me and there was no answer. They never updated my number and called the wrong one. After chasing this for over two hours they sent me a delivery cancellation notice. Three calls later somebody said we can't deliver until 8/18, a month later. Finally after lots of raising came they agreed to deliver next day. I don't even want the garbage in my house. Stay away as they have no idea what customer service is looks like or means.
The customer service regarding the ordering of parts was terrible! A service guy was supposed to come out between 9 and 11 but never did! They never called us to let us know and had no idea what time he was coming if at all!
Bob's Discount Furniture is not a discount store, they're expensive. I purchased a love seat sofa from Bob's Discount Furniture & it's of very low quality & I paid $400 on sale. The sofa is only a few month old & the cushions went flat, the material has fuzz on it & is now very uncomfortable to sit on. I purchased boards to put under the cushions & it's still uncomfortable. Due to the cushions being flat, it's hard to get up. The pillows that came with the sofa are just as cheap. They are flat & uncomfortable. I do not recommend this company to buy furniture.
Bob Furniture will not honor the warranty (Groof Proof) I purchased. Chest has a stain on it. Warrant covers stains. Made claim. Refused it, due to the stain is not from a drink. A second claim, couple years later, warranty still valid. Two knobs on foot board of bed chipped and top came off. Made claim. Refused to replace, because warranty does not cover hardware. (Are you kidding me! You can't have Furniture without hardware!) I was convinced to purchase this warranty on integrity. This is crap! They will find any loop hole to not cover. I will never purchase anything ever there and will make sure people know to beware of fraudulence.
I purchased a couch and 5year extended warranty. Apparently the manufacture of the product is not covered. The only thing is if your child or animal damages it. If the wood, springs or anything breaks after 1 year this extension does not cover it. Our chaise recliner back of couch has been uncomfortable for a while didn't realize it was breaking eventually a spring popped up and we saw the wood was cracked and the entire back had a huge hole. It's nit covered because it was the way it was made. If you bought something make sure you lie and say your dog ripped it or kids jumped on it and caused it to break because if you tell the truth the product just broke down it's not covered, and you have to file as soon as you feel a change. I never knew it was breaking until the spring popped out so I was a late on reporting it. Now it's $500 to replace the piece and the warranty cost up front m. So if you need furniture just for for a year then go for it.
Bobs discount furniture is a bad deceitfully company I purchased over 11,000.00 furniture in 2022 new leather couch love seat and recliner they did not last two years before they started peeling I was informed by Bobs sales team to take the guardian warranty plan that was 100% for any type of damage any after less than two years the warranty was denied I contacted Bobs only to be informed they don't deal with the warranty company totally disrespecting dishonest people look at the photos after left than two years
I've got no problem with the furniture. The prob is their payment program. They encourage you to pay it off in 120 days. If you're 2 days over, with basically a couple hundred bucks left you're basically paying double the original sale price at your current payments which include whatever service they are offering from acceptance now that you'll prob never use.
Do not buy goof proof from bobs gurdwara does not honor what it says when you buy it they turned my caim down for a broken zipper and the stuffing is coming out I was told it wasn't covered on the plan I purchased which I thought there was only one I will not ever shop at bobs again also I started the claim last October and had to keep trying for a answer the turned my claim down last week and won't fix my couch wasted 200.00 dollars guardian has all terrible reviews from better business bureau
We bought a leather sectional from Bobs (actually pleather). We have had 'fake' leather products before, and they were very durable (note - none of these other products were purchased from Bob's). 3+ years into the purchase, the pleather is peeling and separating. And don't expect help from Bob's. You just threw your money away.
Lots of negative reviews on BBB and Trust Pilot for Bobs discount furniture. Many are from people who even bought their goofproof warranty coverage. Many of those reviews were about not having their claims honored. Lots of hidden print on that one.
My recommendation: it may 'seem' like a bargain, but buy from Costco or someone else who will stand by their products. I will never buy from Bobs Discount Furniture again.
*** Update - after fixing several more sections, we had enough and sold the sectional for $150. Paid 3K. Lesson learned - for us - we will not buy from Bobs ever again.
The couches look good but they are cheap material. After a few sits the cushion flattens. After 2 days it ripped, called customer service and was on hold for 2 hours just so they can tell me to take a pic and send it to them. It's been more than week and no one has contacted me! I will not recommend Bob's to anyone.
I bought a living room set two years ago and now my couches look terrible. The fake or as they call it bonded leather has peeled all over. I have to buy a whole new set and Bob's told me since I did not have the goof proof protection I am not eligible for a trade in or credit. Whatever you do, dont trust the leather sofas get cloth. This is the worst $1,000 I have ever spent. Bob's is a horrible company.
I paid for "White Glove Treatment" which involved assembly of my furniture on delivery. Nothing of the sort occurred. Instead, they simply leaned my furniture up against the wall. Had Bob's given me the courtesy of leaving the hardware, which they didn't, I could've assembled it myself. I called to voice my displeasure and they said they'd return the following week. Translation: I was being held hostage for another weekend while I waited for them to return and do their job. They never returned, so I ended up going to Lowe's to buy the hardware and assembled it myself.
I've called my credit card company to dispute the "White Glove" service charge that I paid and will never recommend this outfit to anyone, much less use them myself EVER again. I still have 2 large rooms to furnish but Bob's will not be given consideration. If you want a horrific experience, this is your best choice for a customer service nightmare.
I am extremely disappointed in our purchase from Bobs. It is the Monroe couch. The cushions were already breaking down within 8 months. Most recently our foot of the couch got pushed up into the broken, poorly made frame f the couch. I don't know why this happened since we rarely sit on this part if the couch. I turned it into the goof proof and it was denied because I stated that I don't know how it happened, it only covers accidents. Well I guess it was accidentally made like crap. Can I say that and get some help. They referred me to the store to use the manufacturer warranty but since it's 4 days after the 1 year mark they can't help me. So now I am stuck with a broken couch, thanks. I will never go here or refer anyone to bobs
A few years ago I bought a couch with power recliners at Bob's. After a few days I noticed that the footrest on one side of the couch was bent. I called and they sent someone out to look. He said it couldn't be fixed and that they would replace the couch, and they did. Great!
The other day the power recliners stopped working. I was out of warranty so I paid the $85 dollar fee to have someone come out and look at it. He said the transformer was shot and he might be able to find a replacement for it. When he called the store they could not find a record of my purchase or the replacement that took place a few years earlier. They had no record of my purchase even though they had replaced the couch. They basically told me I was lying and had never purchased the couch from them and to go away!. UNBELIEVABLE! So I'm stuck with a non-reclining recliner and no way to have it fixed.
Let the buyer beware, they are rude and can't be trusted.
This review is for The store located at 6701 Fallbrook Ave West Hills CA *******. I purchased about 7 thousand dollars sofa and dining table and I paied all cash right away at the store. It is 4 months already passed and I have not received my item. Every week I am calling the store and they tell me I have to wait 4-6 more weeks. Do not trust this company. They are so bad with costumer service and they just get your money and not caring if you will receive your item or not. The first thing that this company teaches the employees is to not tell the truth to costumers. If you buy something from a website that is not even popular they bring your item based on the estimated date of delivery. After 4 months they still do not have the estimated date of delivery and saying we do not know when this item will be delivered.
Constantly tightening things weekly. The assembler stripped some of the bolts in the bunk bed and the chairs to the table. I literally have to check these things weekly. Huge hole in couch also after only a year. They did replace a kitchen chair, but again it keeps coming loose. The prices don't match quality
Worst quality furniture. I bought a modern white leather sectional from Bob's Discount furniture. I also got the goof proof warranty. The leather started flaking off the furniture after a short time. I tried calling bob's but kept getting put on hold with no one helping me. Do not buy this furniture! It sucks!

Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Michael Skirvin the CEO is a jerk and a poor man's 2-bit used car salesman.

Answer: We purchased a couch from Bobs 1/19/20, the couch had issues from the start but with the pandemic we did not feel comfortable having technicians n the house. Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
