My account was blocked for no reason, apparently there is "security" risk. Although when I had account only open for a day. No login using vpn or any other IP address. They won't provide any reason why it's a security risk and simply said sorry and permanently blocked. Worst mailing service EVER
They suddenly block ur account for no reason. All the emails are lost. Contacting them is useless. AVOID mail.com
I am trying to make an account at the request of an employer. The mail service seems a little sketchy since every account I have made is blocked within minutes. I have only created accounts using my iPhone, although I feel that shouldn't make a difference. Additionally, if the other issues people have had with this company occur frequently, then even if I can create a successful account, it may get blocked the moment I log in on the wrong Wi-Fi, server, or device. Their AI is so sensitive to any possible threat that, essentially, using their services means that, eventually, your access to important emails will be compromised without any hope of recovery. However, if you pay for their services, they may be able to help you; however, there is only a contact form for those who don't pay. An update: I was able to make an account using a Windows machine. It seems that their security AI sees Apple devices as a threat and will block all new accounts made with my Apple devices.
My mail. Com email, which was directed to their domain instruction. Com, was discontinued without notice the second week of April 2025. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! This seems to have happened several times in the past.
I would give zero stars if possible.
If I could go lower than one star I would. My email account was recently hacked. Someone changed my information, including my recovery email. I contacted support multiple times to try and resolve this issue as I need access to my email for work purposes in a medical office, as well as personal. I was sent a questionnaire which I completed to the best of my recollection (asking when I registered the account was a little unfair, who actually remembers that when it has been over 15 years?). I attached a few pictures of the questions they asked. I received this in response:
"Please note that the information does not match with the one on our files and we were not able to identify you as the rightful owner of the account.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you access to the account as we take the account security of our members very seriously.
Please note that this is a decision made by our abuse department and we do not have further information we can provide to you."
Whatever information did not match is probably because some HACKED ME AND CHANGED IT!
In response and in order to further prove my identity, I forwarded a copy of a form I had to complete, along with a copy of my drivers license, which I had to send to 23 and Me in order to change my email with them. I have not had any reply as of yet.
This is absolutely unacceptable and it is beyond the worst customer service EVER to not be able to speak to an actual person. I asked several times for a real person to contact me with no response.
I now have to try and change my email with over 35 places that I do business with and try to verify my identity with each one. It has taken hours and I am not even halfway through the list.
I would NEVER recommend this mail service to anyone.
Just opened an account locked and blocked out a few hours later. I believe this could be a potential global security breach. In which they are able to gain access to accounts and personal emails without our knowledge and or consent. DO NOT USE!
I regret using this service and want to warn others about my experience. Their lack of accountability and transparency is appalling. Without any valid explanation, they abruptly banned my email. This occurred shortly after I signed up on their website, and fortunately, I didn't use their service. I can only imagine the frustration a longtime user must feel upon discovering that their email, which they have relied on for so long, has been banned with no way to recover it.
Why would a company offer services just to revoke them without reason? This shows a complete disregard for their customers. Their support team provided no justification and seemed indifferent to the inconvenience they caused.
Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere—this so called "mailing" service is not worth your time or money.
Account was closed by their mail.com system with out any notice and all of our emails and data were cancelled
I wonder how can they stay on the market with such a miserable service
Perhaps they pay some freelancer from india, balgladesh or pakistan to code their mail.com webmail
Maybe that's a love story between mail.com and the pakistani programmer? And perhaps they don't want to hire anyone else?

I had two mail.com accounts. I was eventually locked out of both because of some unspecified suspicious activity. Customer service was slow to respond and generally unhelpful. Finally managed to recover both accounts, mostly on my own, but by then had already moved my email subscriptions elsewhere. There are far better free email services out there.
If I could give zero I would. I opened a new mail.com email account to replace another mail.com email account which no longer had a relevant username. I transferred some key emails from the old account to the new one, since I had some emails from a charity that I needed to respond to. In the new account I contacted everyone I deal with to tell them of my change of email address...suddenly...bang...both accounts were then blocked for "impermissable" activity. So now I have no access to any of the emails for my charitable work, and cannot continue work I was doing on their behalf. And now presumably everyone I deal with is getting bounceback unavailability emails from the very address I just told them to use. It reminds of the saying "no good deed goes unpunished". This company has ruined a good piece of voluntary work I was doing, tarnished my reputation, making me look foolish and I don't even know why.they won't say. All I did was transfer some emails from one account to another new one. I can't urge you strongly enough, do not use mail.com.
Been with them for years. Notified them tens and tens of times of on going slow server problems, just to name one. They blame your internet or something on your end, and never fix the problem. They make you end up being stuck with them because you don't want to change your email address!
Worst customer service, ridiculously vulnerable safety system and incredibly spamming ad. Even if your signed up account will disappear/blocked for no reason. If you want to torture yourself, then sign up with them!
This is not worth using. Tried to get password forever and they must have only one person working. I am buying me a. Email from a reputable company,
I choose this as a service for applying and receiving communications for new jobs. I had it for 4 days before they said I had irregular emails and locked the account. I sent out over 200 resumes that now no one can reach me. NEVER EVER USE THIS SERVICE!
DO NOT TRUST OR USE THESE PARASITES. You will lose all your data when they choose to simply block your account for no reason and will then simply ignore you. BE WARNED.
They keep screwing around with the email login screen. They hide. They want you to join their premium services.
I don't understand the negative reviews listed here. I've used Mail.com for a month, and haven't had any issues mentioned at all. I'm not a business, just using it for my personal and genealogy use. I like the clean and organized interface, the presentation of the service, the ease of use, lots of features for a free account.
The things I don't like about it, s the service will log you out after a small period of time of inaction. It's a bit cumbersome to get to your email box. It also provides unnecessary messages, such as leaving the email site, informing you're waiting for more than 3 seconds, "click here" option. It seems to me they gear a lot of that for beginners. About 99% of people don't need that handholding.
With that, I would never use this service for a business or business related use, as it doesn't provide encryption the emails. So for someone who wants an nice email service for personal use for friends, clubs, and bloggers, this is a great option.
I signed up for my account, received confirmation that the account is now active. The first attempt to sign in, I received an error message we have detected a suspicious activity on your account and blocked it
Never could get back into it
They gotta be the worst email service in the whole goddammit world. They started off OK but really suck. Can't get into my emails for hours with these guys. The worst service in the world. This must be a China website. Why I say that is because they don't care if you can get in your emails or this sounds like your idiot $#*!ing president shot head Joe Biden. That's what this website reminds of
I was using Mail.com for work purposes and was all of a sudden not given access to my account nor can I speak to anyone. The email I received when questioned why was that there was a security breach on my account. Like other servers, the only security breached is my own as they now have all my work files that I can no longer access and hindering my business! If I could give them less than 1 star I would. Completely unethical the way they operate. DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE!
Dear Rich,
As we mentioned before, the decision was made by our security department and it was decided that the account in question will remain blocked, please note that the creation of accounts with suspicious names such as anonymous or some similarity are considered as a spam accounts. We do not have further information we can provide to you. Also note that they reserves the right to share further details of its decision.
We understand this is not a satisfactory answer but we ask for your understanding that this is the only answer we will give you.
Best regards,
