I purchased shoes for work six months ago and they have completely fallen apart. The right shoe heel has a hole all the way through it. They're claiming because it's been over 45 days they can do nothing about it. I just want a new pair of shoes.
How much worse can the service get? Is Macy's striving for the worst service/store record? I think they got it!

I ordered the Candace queen bed (on sale of course and while on the surface, the bed did look good, until further inspection after unpacking it, I noticed the following issues. The bed arrived with a big hole in the back of the headboard as well as the wood on one of the legs was chipped off. Apparently Macy's QC team and Factory inspectors need to be retrained on looking for defects in their product because this bed should not have left their warehouse in that condition. And as I left this same review on their website over a week ago, Macy's has not posted so this is why I'm posting it here.
You can shop almost any clothing brand at great prices at Macy's. Sometimes when I go to the mall right on woodside New York and cant find an item my size, Macy's.com tells me which stores could have my size.
Decent offerings and sorting make this site a once or twice a month shopping experience.
Their preview of merchandise is not always clear on differences between similar products (pants, for example).
Their sales codes are always spot on (when these don't work elsewhere, it troubles me).

Love their free returns! Don't have a Macy's store near me, so this gives me the freedom to order risk free. Always happy with purchases or i print free return label and send back for full credit. Awesome!
I love getting beauty products there because its like always free shipping over 25 bucks, beauty items only! But a lot of times they will run free shipping no minimum order on beauty items and they sent me a goodie bag with the last 2 orders filled with expensive samples. More than sephora. Their other clothing and bedding and stuff can be pretty pricey for my liking so for that I'll take off 1 star but they have never disappointed me and have excellent customer service
Macy's does have great sales and customer rewards but their customer service call center is awful! You get nowhere with the people that take your call. They need way better training. "Sorry ma'am" is their fave phrase yet no resolution
They randomly cancelled two of my orders. Then repeatedly called. And told me I needed to call a second number. Which I did. And they still didn't ship it. When it works, I love it. But two out of three screwed up orders is disheartening. I like to shop gifts here because my NY relatives can make returns easily. We'll see if my nieces and nephews get their Christmas gifts. That'll be the deal breaker. Oh, and they still charged me for one of the orders. So I had to figure out how to dispute that. Waiting to see how big of a hassle that refund will be!
My online order was just cancelled twice for no reason. I have learned that many people are having that problem with Macys online orders right now.
Over the years I have found Macy's website to be very challenging to place orders through. This time, at first it seemed to be better, although I noticed that they had neglected to give the full name/description of some clothing items as they appear elsewhere, leading to some confusion.
The big drama at Macys Online is whether or not your order will go through. The methods by which they scuttle orders has varied, but the basic problem remains. After the first cancellation I found Macys had an outdated phone number for me. I fixed that and put the order through again. It was cancelled again. They said they were unable to confirm information about me. The rest of my information looked okay. I don't have this trouble elsewhere. Others online were mystified by their orders cancelled by Macys, which grabs defeat from the jaws of victory.
Not too satisfied when products delivered on different dates even it was ordered on the same day. Especially during the Holiday, they need to improve their delivering operations. Due to this, I have stopped ordered online but go straight into the store.
On August 20,2024 I placed an order for a blue pair of Levi's® Women's Classic Mid Rise Straight-Leg Jeans and a black pair of Levi's® Women's Classic Mid Rise Straight-Leg Jeans. Instead of sending me what I ordered, they sent me the blue jeans and a denim trucker jacket instead of the black jeans.
On August 25,2024, I called customer service. I was told they would send me the black pair of jeans, and I would not have to return the jacket I didn't order. On August 27,2024 I received yet another stupid denim trucker jacket. Again. I did not order it. NO BLACK JEANS.
On August 28,2024, I called customer service a third time. They wanted to send out yet another pair of "black jeans" (aka trucker jacket). I refused it as I did not want a THIRD jacket. So I asked for a refund. Unfortunately, I was told that *I* would have to return the two trucker jackets that I did not order. So between the original order, unpacking jackets I did not order, lots of time talking to customer service, and packing this crap, I have already wasted two hours of my time. Now they want me to waste even more time.
What did I learn by this experience? 1) Macy's hires the worse of the worst. People who are obviously are not "clear minded on the job". This applies to both the warehouse and customer service. 2) Because Macy's hires a LOW quality workforce, expect to, as a customer, have to spend your time cleaning up their mess. Want to see a movie with the kids? Nope, sorry, expect to spend at least two hours calling their customer service, running to the post office with returns, opening packages of stuff you never ordered. I will never buy from them again. Once is a mistake, twice incompetence, and the least they could have done was have UPS pick up the jackets THEY sent me in error instead of forcing me, the customer, to be further inconvenienced. Luckily JCP and Kohl's are great alternatives.
Macy's charged full price for the shoes but sent me a reimbursed pair.
The upper and heel have wrinkles, the soles are gray and even one sole is attached with two staples!
I am not in the States currently, so the shoes have to be forwarded by international shipping. I don't even know if it is worth returning them by paying an international shipping fee again.
This is my first time shopping at Macy's online store and will be the last time.

I purchased an item online and had to return. The item was received and marked accordingly. Their policy that pops up says refund will be issued in 3-5 days with no specification on type of payment. I called because it had been over a week. I was told that was only for Macy's credit card purchases and any other form if payment would be 10-14 business days. I used a Discover card so I am supposed to wait 3 weeks. That is absurd and unacceptable and not what the return policy states. I will never shop online at Macy's again
I've been shopping at Macy's for years. It's a high-quality department store and I'm very happy with it. The furniture is an always the best quality it's medium. But certain brands are very high-quality and they have sales on those items often. It's important to always check out the companies and Macy's will return items and they also give good shipping rates if you live into places and you need furniture in another place. We live in Orlando and we are in Vermont. I just recently bought a really nice living room set. Very pleased with the quality!
I ordered 2 shirts 2 weeks ago. Advise shipping would be 12.1 it is now 12.5 and they still have not shipped merchandise I called and was advised it would be sent out that same day. Well 3 days later they only sent label my even is over and had to purchase something else. Their customer service is the worst
Bought two pieces of jewelry at the end of November. Next day they went on sale, Family and Friends sale 30%off. I called customer service for a price adjustment and stated she'd credit me the difference and would be on my credit card, never happened. Called Macy's Customer Service again, 3 people later who I could barely understand promised another credit to my card again. This time only partial credit received! It's not that difficult! I'm not calling a fourth time and staying on hold again for 45 minutes as I get transferred from one operator to another. I won't be shopping Macy's anymore. A simple call for a price adjustment turned into a very difficult task apparently.
I made an order of 2 pairs of shoes in November 2021, Unfortunately, I receive just one pair. I made follow up emails several times, calls but nothing has done yet. The customer service promised me to refund but nothing yet. I'm very disappointed with this site since it was my first purchase. For Christmas I made a purchase at Macy's and pay extra to get my kid an expensive toy, so it was the only gift that I can buy for him. Now Macy's say we are sorry but it's not going to be here on time and also, we can't refund or even made a good discount for the inconvenience. I bought it with time, but now I don't have the time to get the only toy that he wants for Christmas. This is incredible that this company after a mistake like this can't even made nothing to repair the damage.
