I bought some items on sale in November and already they are falling apart. The sales lady talked me into getting an additional discount by opening a card and it's been nothing but problems ever since. Even when you pay your balance in full they keep sending you bills for $2 for months and months on end even when you call customer service to remove it they never do - it's hell. What a horrible way to kill your brand Macy's.

For more than 20 years, she would not remove the negative score on my credit report. It occurred when I switched from a Macy's regular account to a Macy's American Express. I did not receive or accidentally threw away the paperwork and was unaware of the new account. I paid everything in full but to no avail. I am not happy with that kind of business!
I ordered three squeeze toys for $3 each and one showed up broken. I sent 4 emails over a period of weeks and did not receive any response what so ever. They have a phone number on their site that I tried for days and is always busy. Glad it only cost me $3 to learn what a poor company this is, do not buy from!
My husband and I just returned home from a disastrous trip from Macys. It has always been our go to store at the holidays. No longer. First, the store was a disastrous mess! There were clothes and trash everywhere. To top off our shopping experience, in the way to checkout I stepped in dog poop. The clerk said she called housekeeping several times but no response. How sick is that—dog poop on the main isle! Macy's we realize that these are tuff times and it is hard to get quality help but dog poop-REALLY?!
I took off my shed once we left and cleaned them the minute we arrived home. SICK!
The worst service ever. Store manager, sales person, macy's credit card issuer - terrible - They cancel my furniture without my knowledge for days no text message, no call informing cancelling the order. They charge my credit card which is almost 10 days - amount not credited. Every time you call no result. Please keep all your receipt in place if you face the situation like me and be ready to stay on the phone for hours.
For the safety of you and your loved ones, I recommend shopping elsewhere. I purchased a bed frame from Macy's thinking it would be high quality. It was extremely cheap (the actual wood supports and the fabric). The primary support beam broke in just a couple months. Macy's refused to take responsibility saying it was shipped directly from the manufacturer, yet they were also unable to tell me who the manufacturer was. Since Macy's is content with selling dangerously cheap furniture with no accountability, I will not purchase from them again.
I will not be ordering anymore from Macy's. Their method of delivery takes longer than getting something delivered from the UK. They use this UPS innovative which means it will be switched to USPS which delays delivery, also it's a good possibility it may just sit somewhere till room on a truck can be freed up. Why not just mail it through the USPS in the first place? It is Not good customer service to keep one waiting and waiting for their package. Some of these businesses just don't look past their noses. I guess because they don't have enough common sense to do so. This is the reason I will dispute a charge. I get tired of waiting and the change of delivery dates becomes annoying.
I wonder that more people don't shop on line with Macy's. I find good bargains. But it is like any other retailer on-line or brick and mortar. You have to do your homework. I don't think I would buy Black and Decker small appliances from them, just based on price, but I certainly can find clothing and linen bargains. These are only examples, of course, and buying on line is not as fun as the in store experience of being waited on, and exploring items not on their web site.
Ordered item and week after expected delivery date I call. Item had a tracking # but they say it never shipped and is no longer available. They never contacted me or even try to make right. Will never shop at Macy's regardless of price..
Terrible customer service. Unprofessional and rude. Even worst when calling 1- 800 number. Very difficult when trying to discuss online orders. Have had issues with processing orders w Macy's card but not a problem with my personal card. Even billed twice using my debit card and spent more than an hour on phone being bounced around to different departments.
In their contract they say they can sue your for writing a negative review. Well guess what kleargear? I am not a customer and have not agreed to your terms. ANY company that attempts to infringe on American's constitutional rights is a company of the worst kind. TOTAL SCUM! Never buy there!
Purchased a 10k gold beaded ankle bracelet for my wife's Christmas present only to learn that the 10k gold has now turn brown. I try multiple ways to get a credit or exchange but they have told me that they can't after 30 days. This will be the last time I will use Macy's for anything. Simply put, don't get fooled by the low prices and misleading descriptions.
Careful at Macy's: they use outside sellers
( i. E. Commense), a foreign company with moderate prices, and then double that reasonable price when charging the buyer. Subsequently, once caught, they will not cancel the order ( placed six hours earlier); rather they will placed multiple road blocks on the path to a refund. 'You first have to receive said package, and only then might you be able to 'cancel this order'.
'Money charged today'? Oh, the refund will take 7 working days!'
I have shopped at Macy"s now for about 10 years, and comparing these guys to some of their competitors they run rings around them. Price and service they are great, but better still if you have any returns, they never argue and always help.
I gave this a one star due to the item I ordered was sun damaged. I ordered denim heels and received them in bad shape. Packaging should be better and/or taken into consideration of how items should be delivered. Very unsatisfied and will not order with Macy's again.
I bought a stylish Michael Kors jacket for my boyfriend and I paid for expedited shipping on Wednesday. It made me worry because we really needed it by this Friday, but Macy's literally delivered it like 2 hours before we had to leave the house. I'm so, so, so happy it came on time and can't thank Macy's enough!

It has been 16 months since I reported a fraudulent purchase on my account. Every call I make is longer than half an hour, last call informed it was resolved 8/17/2015. Today 12/28/15 the charge is still on my bill. Called again and after 50 minutes on the line nobody could explain why; instead of transferring me to fraud department the customer service attendant dropped my call and didn't call me back. On the phone again... One more try, I need this charge off my credit report.
UPS did not deliver my package on time because Macy's didn't put the suite number on the delivery slip, even though the complete and accurate address was clearly stated at the time of the order.
The only solution Macy's customer service was able to offer was I could pick it up at the UPS depot, 5 hours after the end of work and on the other side of town. This is not acceptable, especially since I live 45 miles away in another city.
So poor attention to detail, followed by shabby customer service. I will not be using Macy's ever again.
