I love most of my experience. It was easy and cost effective and allowed me to use my current frames. However, the right lens is thicker than the channel it should fit in. Therefore, the frames are spread out and don't fit tight on my head. I cannot wear them if I am running or doing anything physical, which is what I intended to use these glasses for.
I have a significantly strong prescription and, as a result, optometrists charge an arm and a leg for my prescription lenses. My insurance coverage is fine for frames, but lenses are often 3 times more than the frames. I had found a great pair of frames second hand at a great price, but didn't want to eliminate and savings I might enjoy on this pair of glasses by bringing my frames to an optometrist. Lensabl was exactly the option I needed. My glasses came back perfect with a nice new case and excellent lenses. I even added an upgrade to the AR coating that wasn't part of my quote at the optometrist and the lenses came back less than half the price with Lensabl. I save about $200 just on the lenses. It took a little longer than I expected, but worth the wait, especially considering the savings!
The prescription was exactly as it should be but there was alot of delays and you were out of my original materials for the order. Alot of stuff happened that wasn't communicated to me and my glasses were with you for almost 2 months and I wasn't told why until I emailed you guys. And after a week of using them I've confirmed its not the transition lenses that I was ordering, because they haven't gotten darker in the bright sun.
I am new to glasses. Doc said that i need readers. The slight magnification has made the world sharp again in side my reach. However, the off the rack readers are garbage! Lensable has allowed me to track down some slick frames that i feel comfortable in and have them filled with lenses of proper optical quality. All with the covienience of door to door commerce. WE ordered a BOSE glasses product and wanted it to have a bifocal prescription lens, progressives and transitional lenses. I sent in the eye prescription from our optometrist and Lensabl made the lenses. We received them and they are right on! Perfect. I had no idea they would be a good as they are.
It took almost a month to get my glasses. Once I received them, I discovered that the reader part of the progressive prescription is way to low in the lenses. It is so low that in order to read a book I have to hold it against my stomach or I have to raise my head like I am looking at the ceiling or high up on the wall. I have to do the same thing to use my computer - I have to raise my head at an angle that looks like I am looking at the ceiling or high up on the wall. Horrible experience!
My order took 4 weeks to arrive. I understand that the mirror coating I ordered took longer to do. However, Lensabl customer service is poor to say the least. Two emails questioning the status of my order are still unanswered. You can track the status of your order while in production. But that proved useless because at one point it looked like the order was just about finished only to have it go back to step one the next day. Then, I never got an email that the order had shipped until just moments after it had been delivered. It was very frustrating to deal with this company.
I got a pair of Bose sunglasses for my wife and myself and were happy to know they were successful to our eye vision. The shipping was really fast. No damaged box or product. All in all, we are very satisfied. Side note: The sound on these Bose sunglasses are awesome.
The set up for the online store is amazing. Very easy to navigate and understand. Once I had sent my lenses in, however, it took a very long time for them to be finished and sent back to me. Almost a month if I counted my weeks correctly. I did also find a small scratch on one of my lenses. It doesn't bother me too much because I can't see it but it also defeats the purpose as that was the reason I wanted new lenses to begin with. The full mirror transitions have yet to be fully tested but I'm sure it will work fine. Customer service was also very helpful with any questions I had.
I sent my glasses in on June3, I received an email a couple weeks later confirming the style of my frames saying they are ready to send out. A week went by and I never got a shipping notification so I reached out, they said they had a problem with the lens on inspection so they were fixing it and sending them out. A few weeks went by with no update so I reached out, the responding by saying they had broken my frames and I was to pick a new pair or if I had the receipt they would reimburse me (I did not have a receipt). We could not find my original frames so the had me pick out new ones, after some time, I asked for an update and they said oh sorry we can't get you those ones, pick another. So I picked another, I was told they could get those ones and they would send them out ASAP. On Aug 17, I finally received a packaged from them, they are my original frames! This company has extremely poor customer service and I think they are also completely dishonest. I would never recommend of use them again.
Process went smooth... pick-up and return delivery were within tolerable timing. Sweetspot on the lenses, don't overlap well... when right lens is sharp, left is a little fuzzy and vice versa. Since these are progressives and sunglasses, I'm seeing if I can tolerate it.

Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!

In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
