Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

My wife and I love our glasses with their new lenses. The lensabl website does tend to have some significant issues on Safari, so that was frustrating. But we are very happy with the quality of work, speed of the process, and the incredible pricing.
This was my first time ordering lenses to the Boss sunglasses. We wanted prescription to these sunglasses. The glasses came with regular lenses. The website never indicated that my order will be clear lenses and not sunglasses. The Lensabl, support staff was very condensing. Although I spent about $500. I ended up scrapping the order as I didn't appreciate the condensing tone. Guess what! Lenses are not something people know about. So some support would have been appreciated and the website allowed this error.
The process was super simple. I was a little hesitant, especially since I was ordering progressive lenses, and I had been warned by an in-store salesperson that they were trickier to get right without measurement in person. But these lenses are perfect!
Over All the experience was "GOOG" / was not impress with slow responds from the customer service.
The work quality was "GOOD" / was not impress with there shipping / tracking system, which could be
Updated.
I sent them my eyeglasses with case, but the case did not get return.
A little disappointing.
The Good: The ordering process went pretty smoothly. When I did not have an option for entering prism a customer service rep helped me out. The lenses arrived sooner than I expected; my order included tint and mirror that Lensabl warned could be delayed due to COVID issues. I was pretty happy how soon they arrived though. The lenses are perfect and I love them. The price was right.
The Not so Good: After I mailed off my favorite frames to Lensabl there were no updates at all. No "we received them" no "your order is being processed". Nothing. There was nothing on my account that showed me the status. That made me a little nervous considering since these are my favorite limited edition Oakleys. Also, I sent them to Lensabl in my Oakley case that they originally came in. The case was never returned. Sad:(
In total, I would definitely use them again, the lenses are great and a good value. But won't send them my case! Updates should be available with today's technology. Thanks!
Excellent. I was very happy with the website design and UI. It does feel like a boutique optical experience. Providing only lenses is a great service since people are attached to their frames and they know they fit. Very happy with the price on Hi-index lenses, on the turnaround, and the lovely box they came back in. (On a specific note, I would make it very clear on the website that with a +6.50 and up prescription you need Hi-Index 1.74 otherwise, the lenses stick out of the frames no matter how thick your frames are.)
Not having a phone number is probably a good thing for you but what could have been a two-minute clarification on an order update turned out an endless string of emails.
This is maybe my third time using Lensabl for glasses. There is a reason. They have great customer service, easy site to use for ordering, great product. What more is there to say?
I could not believe it, but I could get my Ray Ban sunglasses out of the drawer and get new prescription lenses put in instead of throwing or giving them away. They look wonderful and will be fabulous on the boat this year!
The premium high-index lenses are crystal clear and are well made. However, I had to shape my glasses to correct peripheral distortion in from the nose bridge being a bit "flayed," thus creating a slightly obtuse angle between the lenses. Easy enough to reshape my frames with a hairdryer to heat the acetate and some carefully applied pressure. Look and feel great with minimal distortion now.
The good: The shipping box is really convenient.
The lense prescription is spot on. Would use again. My wife is thinking about doing her pair.
The bad: you used scotch tape in the box. My new glasses were placed in a thin Styrofoam sleeve and then taped up to keep the sleeve on. There was a random piece of tape wrapped around the left arm of my frames. I had to peel it off. You should use painters tape. It is less damaging to surfaces. Also, one of my lenses came with a scratch. I was contemplating reporting the issue and returning them, but I finally got them back and I need them. The scratch is in a convenient spot and not in the center. I was just surprised that nobody in the quality control check of the process noticed as it is easy to see. Again, I love the service and I want to see it succeed.
Well done. Glasses arrived within a reasonable amount of time, flawlessly. The prescription is perfect and the whole process was easy and minimal effort.
Submitting info on-line was well laid out
Price was more than fair- progressive sunglasses
Took what I think was a rather long time to get glasses back- almost 4 weeks(might have something to do with holidays/end of year/C-19)
Disappointed the glass case I sent was not returned-it's pretty much sized for my frames
Will likely use again, as I can purchase unique frames from other sources and have lenses put in
Even though we were dealing with difficult delays, I am satisfied with the final outcome.
I had asked you to send me a box for my eyeglasses. After a considerable wait, I asked you to send me a new one. When that finally arrived, I sent my glasses. I followed up several times, asking when my glasses would be produced and delivered. Eventually your customer service people told me they did not know which glasses were mine because I did not include a shipping order or something like that. I thought I had followed your instructions on how to start the process, but who knows what happened? Finally, after many weeks of waiting, you sent my eyeglasses. I am very happy with them.
I am very pleased with the way Lensbl receives orders and prepares the customer for shipping the glasses for which the lenses need to be replaced. I also appreciate the quality of the installation of the new lenses. I was a bit disappointed with the pace of handling the order once my older glasses landed in the lab. I was especially disappointed by seeing the status line (on the website) "your order is complete and awaiting shipping" for 4 days! I assume that these hiccups may be related to the pandemic and holiday season but still think that the company should focus more on expediency.
The prescription was perfect - love these Bose glasses.
Not very happy that the transition does not completely get clear indoors.
Pther than that - love it!
I sent in glasses for both me and my partner, with different prescriptions that were documented throughout the order. We got the frames back with all one prescription. Not only that, but one pair of glasses has a lens incorrectly placed so it is loose in the frame. I have already contacted Lensabl for help but I am extremely disappointed.
Having purchased contacts online from previous sites, I was a gain expecting delays, and a heavy process. Boy, was I wrong. I had my contacts in my hand exactly 3 days later. Shocked, ecstatic, and happy. I'll be using Lensabl from now on. Only reason for the 4/5 stars, was that I could only do this review online, as the mobile version was not compatible with it being on a mobile and I had to do this from scratch twice.
Lensabl seems to be very disorganized. I like the idea. I sent them a prior set of eyeglasses that did come back with the correct prescription after 2 months. I decided to send them another frame with decayed lenses- it took 5 weeks to get my frame with replacement lenses back and they are the wrong prescription. Fantastically disappointing. To make matters worse, you blamed me for manually entering incorrect information when all I did was upload my eyeglass prescription. Lensabl entered the wrong prescription and want to charge me over for the experience of correcting Lensabl's mistake.
I had a pretty bad scratch on the lens of my glasses. I went back to the optician where I'd originally purchased them and was told the price to replace the lenses would be $350 for basic lenses and $500 for lenses with anti-scratch and anti-glare. I then checked on Lensabl and found better lenses (blue light filter, anti-scratch, anti-glare) for $120. While I was initially hesitant about sending my glasses in the mail to a service I had never used before, the large savings of using Lensabl greatly outweighed any potential risks. I shipped and got my glasses returned in about two weeks and I'm super happy I decided to use Lensabl. The new lenses are crystal clear, the replacement process was super easy and the price can't be beat. Highly recommended!
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
