The fact that I now have a professional team behind me to make sure that my businesses are in good standing takes so much weight off my shoulders. My agent answered all of my questions and left me feeling so at ease. Getting this done has been on my to-do list for MONTHS. I wish I would have called LegalZoom from the start. Soooo worth the money!
What a scam. Legal service hustlers. No lawyers -just paper pushers - reading a script and selling unnecessary service or charging hundreds to file papers you can for free on any state web site.
They refused and delayed canceling my agent's subscription. They charged $499 to dissolve a corporation. I cancelled it. I called DE state and did it for $110 myself. Now they refused to refund my agent's fee of $299 as promised. What a scam. I cancelled before renewal and got resistance. What ever state or agency you are dealing with call them directly and do it yourself. The refund policy states 30 days.
Courtney is awesome. A lot of customer service reps and salespeople are either badly trained, or they just don't understand the concept of providing good service. Courtney went above and beyond. Courtney is well trained and truly understands the sales process. She also went for the close, which gives a chance to overcome objections, versus simply giving up. She was very knowledgeable of the products and made sure that all of my questions were answered. I am glad I spoke with her and went with Legalzoon over the other company, mainly because Courtney is excellent at her job. Kudos to Courtney.

I had a very frustrating experience with my copyright applications. I had to spend 4 weeks calling legalzoom and still getting voicemails stating my copyright applications had problems and could not be processed, after being assured every time over the phone that everything was corrected. Should have done it myself for less money and stress.

We had use legal zoom 1 year. We missed the notice about auto renewal. But when we got the notice that it had renewed, we called right away to cancel the annual service. The woman said she WOULD credit the 199 dollars, but we never received it, and when we called a month or so later, they said oh, too bad it renewed. We won't credit you the 199. This is a total rip-off as they get paid for no service
The fellow we spoke with chose not to understand the situation and just kept responding the same pat answer. Beware
In the process of setting up my first business as a LLC and I had lots of questions. Not only did they answer them all, and walk me through all my options, but they also handled so much other stuff. Between the IM Chat, Support Numbers, and Email I have never had to wait for help. It's like i have my own in house legal team.
I was blindsided by a registered agent fee. I was under the impression it was already included in the total, alas is was a separate surprise charge.

I paid to register LLC. However they emailed me to ask for materials. I eventually did all the work and registered by myself. I also replied their email to cancel the service and for the refund (within 12 weeks). However, when I eventually called them in Nov 2020 asking for refund, they claim that it already passed the 12 week limit and they did not receive my email to cancel the service. I called several times, one of their staff offered a $50 compensation, which I denied. I need a full refund since I did my job to cancel the service.
This company failed me and never filed the S corp form 2553 after stating they did several times a year later. They would not help after spending 1:20 min on the phone they wanted me to email another Dept. to ask if I could explain my request. Unreal! Told them to refund me my money and I would hire someone else. I would not hire them for anything!

I too would award LegalZoom a zero or better yet a below zero rating if possible. I thought it would be easier to have them handle my LLC, however it turned into a nightmare. They made themselves the Registered Agent even after I explicitly told them NO! On top of that they wanted more money to change the Registered Agent! This may not meet the legal definition of extortion, but it sure meets the man-on-the-street's definition.

I am not having a very good experience with Legalzoom. They frequently do not follow through, emails are not returned and it is taking over two months just to finalize one LLC. The tax consultant was not very well informed and actually told me that I would not need to give vendors 1099-misc., when in fact I did have to do so. I made the mistake of ordering two LLC's in November 2015 and it is now the last half of February 2016 and neither are complete. I will have to call them once again tomorrow.

I will never use LegalZoom again. Not only have my documents been held up three times now, but in the three times I've had to speak to an agent they have turned what was supposed to be a simple process into an ongoing nightmare. Today I woke up to a surprise charge on my account of $249. When I look on my receipt in my account, the charge isn't listed and shows the fee "included" in the receipt. Nice surprise. They have sent communication on everything else, but not this. If you want legal services, go to a real lawyer. It will save you the hassle of the back and forth, misinformation, and time. It will be worth the extra money.
I received text saying my docs were available. Went to biit.ly link and could not retrieve docs from site. Agent could see them on her end, but web site glitch prevented my retrieval. Michelle sent them to me via email which was a HUGE help. Great job!

The site is difficult to navigate to make necessary changes and set up an Attorney Consultation. It took us several hours and several calls to finally accomplish what we had intended to do. Eventually, we talked with a couple of associates who were very helpful and able to guide us through the process we needed to complete.

I bought a will in 2018, and that purchase came with a 30 day free trial of "Legal Advantage Plus." What I didn't realize was that the free trial turned into a paid subscription after 30 days, and since they had my credit card number, they could successfully charge me $15 a month. Its on me that I didn't spot the payments on my credit card statements until now, but shame on them for the approach. You'll note in my image that the cute little free trial is still active (now canceled). They don't even bother showing it as a paid subscription. I'm paying for something they say is free!?
