Today is November 1,2015. I wrote a 3 star review back on Oct 18,2015 titled "Foreign credit card billing address is a problem for Lazada". I went back and changed to 1 star. I originally gave 3 stars because I THOUGHT that their issue with processing USA credit cards would eventually be resolved. Well it now looks hopeless and I have spent an estimated 10 hours trying to order one cell phone to prepare my partner in the Philippines for an important job. If I could find a competitor with the product I would use them for sure instead of Lazada. This has revealed how incompetent Lazada is at their business.
Since my Oct 18 post they have improved their system by adding a provision for foreign credit card addresses, but they forgot to include a field for Zip code, which most businesses know is required info for card processing. I find this humorous and very "third world" technology. Well, I found a work around their system error trying multiple credit cards and multiple transactions and finally got it processed by putting my "Zip" into the "City" field and bingo, my bank card approved it. Contacted my bank to make sure they approved and they said yes "waiting on Lazada" to approve on their end now. Now 10 hours go by, then I get an email from Lazada saying my order was cancelled. I have received six of these. Yes, this is identical cancellation #6 since Oct 18. Yes I am persistent... perhaps insane. I have completed 6 orders for the same cell phone and it's been cancelled 6 times. Each time I get the same COPY-PASTE reply from support saying I need to correct my address matching. Well I have tried 5 different credit cards now from 3 different banks, and my address given works fine all over the world, except at Lazada.
Dear Lazada supervisor: You guys have a serious problem. If you ever find this message, please review ticket #'s *******, *******, *******, *******,*******,*******,*******,******* and see if you can figure out a way to stop the clerk that cancels my order. They must not understand how to interpret approved bank transactions. Just tell the clerk to accept my payment and hit the APPROVE button instead of the CANCEL ORDER button.

I am trying to reschedule my orders' delivery date to on or after AUGUST 19,2018. I already texted LEX (which texted me after I already left the house this morning going to tge airport). I got no reply from LEX at all. So I chatted with a Lazada live agent this afternoon, but got no reassurance that the redelivery will take place on or after Aug 19. The live agent just said that s/he will "coordinate" with the courier (LEX) regarding my request. So this late afternoon, I called Lazada's customer service hotline & requested again that my orders be redelivered on or after Aug 19. The agent kept rudely telling me that there is "NO ASSURANCE" that the courier will be able to redeliver my orders on my requested time frame (on or after Aug 19).
Don't know what is so difficult about rescheduling my orders with Lazada. A company as big as Lazada should have efficient coordination with their partner courier/s and other departments.
Good thing my orders are COD, or else if redelivery fails & I had already paid ahead, I will surely have a very hard time asking for my money back. (Based on so many Lazada bad reviews.)

I have been a long customer of Lazada however that will end now as their new shipping policy is a total SCAM!
I ordered an item and paid for it outright and paid an extra for a standard shipping which cost double compared to an economy shipping, cause it would only take 3 to 5 days.
I have been tracking the order from their website and found out that on September 8th LBC already has the item. Which on my estimate should be delivered right on time.
I would always contact lazada's customer service to make sure that it happens. They always assured me that it would be delivered not later sept 13. They assured me to ignore LBC's promise delivery date of september 21 to 27 which is showing on lazada tracking site that contradict on the item order page.
Now comes september 13 and the order is not delivered yet, i have not receive any indication from lazada's automatic notification and the courier that it would be delivered today. I had reach out to the customer service only to find out that i had to wait again for 24 to 48 hours for an update. Just an update and not the delivery. Thats a total BS and a SCAM. You are paying more than the regular price of shipping to get your item in earlier time and Lazada is saying ohhh thats not gonna happen is a SCAM AND BIG BS!
THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS IS ONE SIDED AND ANTI CONSUMER. ASKING FOR AN INSANE AMOUNT OF SHIPPING FEE AND NOT GIVING THEIR CUSTOMER A GUARANTEE.

I ordered an irig voice microphone using my lazada app. It said that it was in stock. After i place the order, i waited patiently for it to arrive. I was not able to check my email but when i did, it said that i was cancelled due to it being out of stock. But a package arrived and it was labeled as the irig microphone but the content of the package as 2 shoeracks! How the heck did that happen? Im not sure what kind for brains their quality control has but a lot of them are slacking off or just plain dumb. It was a shame that i didnt receive the package personality. Our househelp received it and paid it. Now, i have to wait for them to refund the money. It took a while for me to wait for the package and now im going to wait again for my money wc i paid for an item i never ordered. That was my first and that's going to be the last that i will order from lazada ph. I hope someone from lazada reads this and does something about it so that this will not happen to the other would be consumers. But i will never recommend anyone i know to buy from lazada. Never...

Answer: You can't tell from online usually. It's why have to purchase from reputable reliable vendors. Someone selling knockoffs, counterfeit and fake products will usually use the OEM specifications and often use the original OEM photos. I always read comments, reviews and most anything else about a seller/vendor to get an idea about what previous buyers had to say. I also look at the OEM website for a list of authorized dealers. Of course there is the "gray market" as well. Vendors who import authentic phones but they are not authorized so they wont have the OEM Manufacturers warranty. Many of these sellers/shops offer an in-house warranty and will repair phones in their own shop. Just realize they won't stock parts so even if they are decent people you may wait weeks for repairs to be completed. Most authorized dealers and repair shops will often just give you a replacement phone (usually remanufactured in pristine condition) or, if a simple repair, may have the parts in-stock. So your best bet is either use an authorized dealer or research to find one of the reliable 3rd party sellers. As the old adage (saying) goes "if it looks too good to be true, it probably isn't. If the price is well below what an authorized dealer or reputable shop, then it's likely it's not an original phone. You may have to save up a little longer to buy but in the long run its usually worth the extra money. Finally, I often look at the OEMs who either sell directly or use one of the bigger retail or online websites (for example, Lazada selling Xiaomi smartphones. At least you are dealing with a seller with written guarantees and refund/return policies that (somewhat) protect the Buyer. The only alternative is to either buy the lowest cost phones that won't break your savings if they break quickly OR buy from one of the Mobile Carriers (Smart, Globe, etc) Hope this helps. Good luck.
