What the buyer purchases at Lazada when buying Kingston Technologies Product is the Trust in Kingston and the Kingston Warranty on the product.
The Kingston NV2 1TB are relatively new releases and for enterprise users and NGOs they are ideal as backup drives.
These are small devices. They are extremely powerful and fast. I am showing two different fake NV2 / M.2 NVMEs with their labels removed. They are comprised of SANDISK memory chips and 2017-vintage SM226ENG controllers. Compared to the real Kingston NVME NV2 they are slower than molasses.
You can see the fakes only have two so-called NAND chips (they are really two SANDISK mem chips) and a genuine 2017 variant Silicon Motion controller as compared to Kingston branded chips.
A real Kingston NV2 has a 2023 Phison PS5021-E21 controller and usually Toshiba 3D TLC NAND memory chips on the 1TB-NV2.
I am setting out two stores from which I have bought fake product thinking it was real because they claimed to be "Kingston Resellers" on Lazada.
They call themselves "OKc Mall" and "B Shark Mall"
I tried to get a refund; tried to get a return address for the product; tried to execute their "One Year Local Warranty" to no avail.
Since then I have done some digging and learned there are many stores on Lazad in the same gang selling counterfeit Kingston SSDs. They are selling many hundreds and making ₱millions on the phony product, exploiting neophyte computer hobbyists and people who simply trusted Kingston when they say the Kingston Reseller Logo.
Further research indicates that this is an attack on Taiwan. They are counterfeiting product in South of mainland China using Taiwan product as the target and the Taiwan serial numbers. (Photo attached.) Additionally I learned that other small companies making SSDs since 2018 have gone out of business in China, Taiwan and South Korea citing the low cost competition dodging the hazardous materials laws, labour laws, and other costs, and using 7-year-old cheap technology to flood the market with cheap technology under good-looking labels of name brands.
As far as I can tell, the factory making these bogus products is funded by the CCP. Why? Because they are kicking the hell out of the Taiwanese chip foundries.

These devices were to be used for data backups. I set up the devices with good heatsinks and had 600GB data added to each. One lasted 36 hours before it died and the other about three weeks.
I went to Kingston to get warranty coverage after writing many times to the sellers and to Lazada and got the most preposterous runaround imaginable.
Kingston said these are counterfeit and scolded me for not visiting an authorized seller. But the OKc Mall at Lazada claimed to be an authorized seller.
I will be taking additional action.
I got scammed by someone thru facebook by making me purchase lazada gift voucher since I was having a hard time on how I could withdraw my lazada wallet, knowing it could only be withdrawn if it came from a return/refund item. This someone offered a help and upon checking she was acknowledged as legit by several people who had a past transaction with her. She made me purchased these vouchers from lazada gift card and blocked me immediately after telling me my money was being sent from her. I went to lazada live chat to report the case, the first agent I've talked to was attentive and comforting. I told him what happened and provided him with screenshots and he said that he'd make sure that this will be documented. The following day I've sent a message again and another agent talked with me. I've explained the situation again and she made a case regarding my report, I told her that I got scammed and wanted to stop the scammer from receiving it. Little did I know, she didn't fully check my screenshot, I was referring to the email of the recepient which is the scammer and told them that the scammer shouldn't get the voucher. Second agent told me that he'd follow up about the case. All they do was to create a report and mark the status "resolved", third agent told me to wait 24-48hrs. Fourth agent seems not helpful since he thought that I got scammed because I wasn't thinking right so he told me that it's not refundable after knowing what happened. Fifth agent told me that I should wait for the 48th hours while they wait for seller's update and come back after so they could process my refund. I was also told to message the seller to cancel the orders since it was the best option to do so. So I did. But lazada gift card doesn't even read and reply to any of my messages for days now but they're online. I went back after 48hrs and talked with the sixth agent, he told me to WAIT another 72hours more. I don't understand. They could just cancel the voucher so the scammer won't receive it and so that the problem will be solved immediately but all they say is to wait. This is really stressing me out, I've been purchasing from lazada ever since but now, I'm confused whether to continue using or not. The chat agents were confusing and they have different opinions. I don't know what's happening really. I just need my money back before it gets too late.
HASSLE FREE?
A stern warning to those contemplating ordering electronics, read about my experience:
I ordered a Smart TV urgently needed for my work...
1. The order took 6 days to arrive - although merchant claims to have handed over goods to their delivery partner, no "proof of delivery" paperwork from delivery guy, when asked why it took 5 days for 10km delivery route, I got only a blank stare.
2. The unit was a Russian (Netflix restricted) model, wrong power plug, and this was apparently not disclosed, and was mfg. Over a year ago
3. Free Shipping was prominently shown as part of the offer during 9/9, but I was charged about 700 PHP (I felt cheated and deceived)
4. The unit did not power up, the Merchant "GamExtreme" showed little interest in resolving the obvious "dead on arrival" situation - I had offered to accept a replacement
5. The merchant even asked me to send a video on how I powered on the TV (as if I was an idiot), after 2 days of not responding, I had already boxed up for return
6. After lengthy communications they agreed to take it back, but asked me to drop it of at J&T, so I had to carry this huge box over 1km despite the Covid restrictions
7. The delivery J&T Express refused to accept the return, citing their Volume Metric restrictions on Lazada returns. I explained, that this is not part of my problem, they had signed a contract with Lazada to take back returns - after 45min they took pity on me and accepted. Their service attitude was actually quite good.
8. Lazada acknowledged the return within hours and promised a refund a day later
9. Refund did take 3 days total, but at least it was a smooth experience on that
You decide if you want to be tortured like this or go straight to your local Electronics where you can buy the goods likely for the same price (the 34% discount on Lazada was on an inflated price). Local store, updated, tested and made sure TV was fully operational - what a treat!
Needless to say, I canceled my already substantially loaded shopping cart and I will no longer buy from Lazada after this nightmarish buy experience. I probably have to remove my apps to stop the daily promotional offers. The overall experience with GAMEXRTREME has severely damaged the Brand appeal of Lazada for me.
Merchants are allowed to sell old electronics and foreign models (without disclosing). Maybe was a black market product even?
Be aware of such practices an Lazada and consider buying from a local store which can respond quickly to problems and honor the brand with good service.
Don't be blinded by the fake discounts and false promises of free deliveries.

I am a regular shopper with Lazada Philippines, I gave up hope of receiving any competent conversation from their Customer Support long ago, and here are just some of my recent experiences that not just serve to demonstrate their incompetence but that they are also dangerous instructing their customers to transport hazardous materials regardless of what the consequences may be.
One … I had ordered an 'American Legacy' brand of convection oven and I particularly wanted the American Legacy model, I specifically paid more for it, because I knew it to be one of the best models available. What the seller actually shipped to me was a 'Micromatic' branded model and when I complained they lied to me that both brands are exactly the same model and it, Micromatic, is the only model that they stocked, when I subsequently checked the then American Legacy brand listings they were all fraudulent, thay were actually for a Micromatic brand.
So getting on to Lazada and going thru all the questions and answers, pictures etc. they asked that I return the item, I live on an island where we only have one branch of LBC and the tricycle fare to/from is PHP500 so we don't want to be wasting journeys to and from.
I agreed to return it so asked Lazada for a 'Micromatic' returns label which they couldn't provide because I had never ordered a Micromatic, I had only ordered an American Legacy, I explained that LBC will not accept such a fraudulent discrepancy but rather than act to avoid such a situation they encouraged me to commit fraud by taking it to a different branch of LBC, we only have one branch!
Lazada simply cannot provide a returns label for an item that wasn't ordered.
Two … Similar to above, I had ordered 10 x 16 meter rolls of electrical tape but what the seller shipped was 10 x 8 meter rolls, they had tried to cover up their fraud by concealing the description on the item label but the barcode identified the truth.
Once again Lazada asked that I return, I explained regarding the discrapancy between return label and actual item that I knew the local LBC wouldn't accept and to cut a longer story short a refund became discussed.
50% of the order was equivalent to PHP110 which I told Lazada I was prepared to accept, they tried to fob me off with just a PHP100 refund and it was only when I stood my ground that they explained that they couldn't refund me the exact amount, that they can only refund in multiples of PHP50 so had to refund me PHP150, is this stupid or what!
Three … I had ordered a spinning mop & bucket that was to include two additional head refills, it arrived missing one refill for Lazada's response to be, as per standard, to take a picture, I had to question of Lazada if they were serious, that they expected me to take a picture of something that I don't have.
They decided upon a partial refund instead!
Four … And this is a classic:
I had ordered 3 x 405g jars of a vinegar based pickle but what the seller actually shipped was 4 x 270g jars, regardless that 3 x 405g = 1,215g whereas 4 x 270g = 1,080g, a shortfall of 135g for which the seller offered no apology or recompense and instead suggested that I should consider myself lucky that I received 4 jars rather than 3, but the seller had inadequately packed and all 4 jars were leaking, even as I unwrapped the package the stench of vinegar was overwhelming.
So it was back on to Lazada who, as per standard, insisted upon a return for me to explain that there were two 'stand out' problems regarding that, (1) that they are unable to provide a returns label for 4 x 270g jars so LBC will not accept and, (2) that vinegar is an acid, a hazardous and corrosive substance and LBC will most definitely not accept a package that is leaking such a corrosive substance.
This has already been going on for some two months already and it seems that each time I contact Lazada's 'Muppet Show' I am asked to take pictures, it is explained to me that the returns window has closed and time and time again I find myself needing to explain.
I have asked of several Lazada 'Muppets' if Lazada has provided them with any training whatsoever regarding the transportation of hazardous material and to a man every one of them has declined to answer with, most recently, the muppet of yesterday terminated our chat rather than answer the question, they are clearly under a directive not to discuss the training that they have and/or have not received.
Somewhat fortunately for the nation of the Philippines I am trained regarding hazardous materials, not immediately but if an accid such as vinegar leaked on an airliner then it could eat its way thru some cabling or serve to weaken the airplane structure and, thru a lack of training, Lazada are encouraging us to transport such hazardous materials, telling me that if one LBC branch won't accept it then to try a different LBC branch.
This dispute has been going on for some two months already, I actually have it in an email from LBC that they will not accept the leaking vinegar, and still there seems to be no resolution in sight from LBC.
LBC aren't just incompetent, THEY ARE DANGEROUS.
Lazada Customer Service is absolutely the worst! I requested a return and got rejected for a wrongly chosen item. Called Lazada since May to resolve the issue and till date it is still not resolved. Checked every week with the Lazada Hotline (All Phillipinos), Customer Service and Resolutions Team and only managed to have some progress. Lazada said they called me on a certain date but I checked my phone missed calls yet there was no missed call from them at all. Simply making up stories. I called again and the Customer Service guys told me will schedule a timing for the CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER to call me back. Guess what, NO BLOODY CALLS at all. I called in an rant about the situation today at about 5:40pm till sometim after 6. The Customer Service Operator told me she can only follow up etc. and then told me "IT"S ALREADY 6:05PM AND IT"S PAST OUR OPERATING TIMING, THANKS FOR YOUR CALL.", AND HUNG UP! Abosulte worst Customer Service EVER. The Customer Service Operator's name is ACE. I must say there are still some good customer service operators that speaks in good manner and advises what to do but NOTHING IS DONE. I even requested the Customer Service Manager to drop an email if there's difficulty in contacting me but NO EMAILS as well! Customer Service Manager's name is Kristine as I know of, I am even wondering how she became a "MANAGER" with no courtesy or contact the customers. You call that "Customer Service"?! When I was hung up by the Customer Service Operator, I was on loudspeaker and my wife was also with me. She was also surprised how can such bad customer service exist. Is Lazada sending a message to all customers that Customer Service Operators will hang up your call once it's past 6pm?!?!?! THE WHOLE LAZADA CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT JUST GIVING EMPTY PROMISES TO CUSTOMER AND SIMPLY IDLING AROUND! WITH NO FOLLOW UP ON EMAIL TO UPDATE WHATSOEVER!
One Star? I'd not even give any stars if I can.

LAZADA PHILIPPINES IS THE WORST ONLINE SHOP I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN MY 12 YEARS OF ONLINE SHOPPING! I've purchased from ebay, amazon, olx, awok, souq, desertcart etc., but by far this Lazada is the MOST TERRIBLE SCAM SHOPPING SITE I've been to.
Firstly, THE APP/WEBSITE IS TOO COMPLICATED TO USE. There's too much graphics going on in the screen. For first timers and not familiar with online shopping, it will surely give them a headache, not knowing where to click with the heavy distractions popping out here and there. The site is too stressful to look at.
Secondly, THE CHAT BOX FOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND INQUIRIES IS UTTERLY USELESS! AND THE LINK CUSTOMER HELP IS HARD TO FIND AS IF GUSTO TALAGANG MAGTAGO. For 3 days in a row, I've been sending messages to the chat box so I could speak with anyone about various inquiries. But until now, I haven't heard anything from them. You see, I've ordered several times. ALL MY ORDERS WERE CANCELLED WITHOUT NOTIFICATION IN ADVANCE even after orders were made several days ago, even when the first order was to be delivered already. First three orders were COD. Ok, I let it passed since no money was involved yet. But on my 4th order, the app (or the seller) sent a notification that my order is low in stock. They said to ensure to get my order, I must pay within 48 hrs. Because I really need the items I ordered, I opt to pay via Lazada wallet thru SM payment.
The next day I left my busy work to fall in a very long line at SM to pay. Before giving my payment to the teller, I even rechecked and rechecked my app for the correct account number and also if there are any new notification about my order. RIGHT AFTER A MINUTE of completing my payment, upon checking again my app, I was shocked that my order is now cancelled and my payment is on REFUNDED STATUS. I AM REALLY REALLY DISGUSTED. Para bang pagkalapag mo ng pera sa kamay nila bigla ka na lang tinakbuhan kasama ang binili mo. Would you imagine how angry I am, after all the time and effort I've gone through just to pay this at SM leaving my work, all my effort was useless because of this USELESS & DECEIVING LAZADA SHOP.
I'm a first time user of Lazada, I came back from overseas so I don't know yet how the system of this site works. But oh boy, I AM TOTALLY SCAMMED BY LAZADA. I thought lazada mall flagship stores would be a competent place to purchase things from. Lazada overseas and other online whopping sites were spot on. When i ordered from an independent supplier last year, they were able to deliver right on time, so I thought, "the flagship stores of their mall should be better". NOT TRUE! MUCH, MUCH worse! The store directly connected to lazada (Lego btw) did not verify/ confirm the status of my payment until I messaged them and even if the payment already went through to my credit card 4 days before I contacted them (mind you, they have a 72 hour confirmation policy, if the item is not available or anything, they're supposed to fully refund me).
I kept on bothering the chat agents (coz apparently this is the only way you can talk to them) to please contact the seller to confirm my payment and shipment, they said they can't do that, that they can only TRY to rush my delivery when it gets to their shipping facility, from the seller (who is btw, a flagship store of lazada) to the shipping facility there's no way to assure and check the status and delivery of your items :(. Finally, my payment was confirmed (1 day before the deadline of my delivery) and transferred to the shipping facility (exactly on my due date) and their website FINALLY updated my delivery status (1 week later than what was promised to me and 5 days past my event :( ) Now, they're hiding behind holiday policies so you can't contact them thru any means > :( :,(.
So basically, they can't assure you of on time delivery (especially during peak seasons), they can' guarantee availability and they can't track your item :(. . So what exactly is this online store for? I can't even chose my mode of delivery :( in other countries I can opt for stuff like DHL and lalamove :(. If my item was available on shopee I would've bought it from there :(.
They made 3 promises that it will be delivered on time and nothing happened. Then they made a promise that it will be delivered 2 days later than the promised date because they will make it a priority that didn't happen (just a little note, I ordered 2 items 2 days later from a none flagship store and those came in earlier, the second item was actually at the LEX facility on the same day as the LEGO but the LEGO will only arrive 5 days later than that item :(. SO yes, they did not make good on their promise of prioritising the item.
I dunno if I will ever use lazada philippines again, if I do it definitely won't be with flagship stores :(.
