Please beware! If you purchase an h p Printer and it ends in the letter e you will be sorry. These printers are very problematic and the software Is also problematic. H p is more concerned with collecting your information than making good products Like they used to. The quality and complexity has gone downhill significantly. If you look for the overall ratings and you google it you will see why many people have had Horrible experiences and people need to buy elsewhere to teach h p a lesson. I am a computer consultant and I used to very much like hp products. But now I prefer brother As all of the online nonsense that hp uses wastes time and if you ever run into a situation where you are not able to connect to the Internet? You will not be able to solve the problem... Many sales people are not aware of this because they do not do the installs... I hope that you found this informative..
Stay away from HP products. I bought my daughter a laptop for college, within a year the motherboard went bad. It was still under warranty so I sent it to HP they replaced the motherboard free of charge. So I am thinking they fixed the known motherboard problem and I have a good motherboard without the known issue.
I was wrong, they gave me a motherboard with the same problem and of course in about 8 months the exact same thing happens. Now it is out of warranty and they washed their hands of me.
I am doing the same thing with them. HP will get no more of my or my company's money. I would suggest everyone do the same.
Absolutely the most difficult printer to install! I had to pay a computer expert to install this piece of crap! It only worked for 2 months! Will be putting it out in the garbage tonight and purchase a Canon printer!
Had to call five different numbers for technical support on obtaining a new driver. Was not able to ever talk to a live person. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. The rating would be lower than one if I had that option
HP pretends that it cares about the environment by allowing you to mail back your used toner cartridges at their expense. In reality, they make it completely impossible for you to print a mailing label in the hope that you will give up and just toss the cartridges in the trash, saving them the mailing costs. To simply print a mailing label, they make you jump through hoops --- creating an account and giving up personal info and even so at some point you'd still be stuck (what the heck is a customer ID and why do I need that just to mail back the cartridges?).
After experiencing a boot up problem with a recently purchased up all in one pavilion, we shipped the computer to ho for repair. A month and a half later, they shipped it back, with a broken screen. We refused to accept it, and have been unable to get ho to resolve the issue peaceably. After 3 months of the run around, We are now filing a lawsuit in small claims court to resolve the $645 issue. See you there boys an girls
Have been using my HP laptop pavilion series for 8 straight years. Still with the original hard drive, processor, ram, webcam, and everything else. Recently upgraded it to windows 8, still working smoothly.
What more could you ask for!
Worst customer service. Virtual "advisor" could not understand questions. After almost 2 hours reached a live person overseas. English was 2nd language and did not understand or listen. All I wanted to know is what product to buy to increase storage space. Won't be HP brand now or ever again.
HP has truly slipped the wig since the 2020 Covid. Their Support no longer mans the website as my account still shows the same info from 2018, when I just bought and registered a new PC and printer this June. Their notifications still show the same lame warnings from 9 months ago. Its a waste of time using the lame Digital Assistant which will only bump you around to other 'support' options that are outdated, or plain do not work.
They USED to be tog dog...
HP had me send my brand new computer with a cracked screen for repair. It was not covered under warranty, I had never used it. I paid over $400 to have my new computer fixed. They assured me that my repaired computer would be back to me in less than a week. Three weeks later. They called wanted me to pay another $400 for a new computer, because my repair was complicated. They refused to send my computer back. I am frustrated beyond belief and will NEVER purchase HP again.
Stay AWAY from Hp's laptops. This is one of those companies that don't care at all about customer service or quality of their product, they are just in it to make profit.
I purchased a laptop from them which within a month started to overheat so badly that the plastic actually melted around the fan. I couldnt get it in to be fixed for a few months because i had too much work stuff on there, when i finally was able to they tried to tell me they wouldnt do anything about it.
Please allow me to add my voice to the chorus of 1-star reviews for this company. We have an OfficeJet Pro 8600 (4-in-1) printer. The printing and copying functions are fine. The fax function is obsolete at this point, but that's not HP's fault.
What HP is responsible for is some breathtakingly bad decisions regarding the scan function. It used to be extremely easy to scan a document with this printer: just place it on the glass and press scan. Not anymore. HP reached (virtually) into my scanner without my permission or approval and literally changed how it operates.
Now it ONLY can scan thru an application on my laptop - and even requires users to set up an account! Way to shake customers down for their big data, HP. Even worse still, the scan function went from something that took seconds to literally several minutes per page. It is just painful to create even a 2-page document. Very disappointing. Not buying this brand again.
The main issue they are building and shipping directly from Shanghai. They are not allowing you to cancel due to their unreasonable timelines. May 16 tried to cancel and was denied. May 20 goes into shipped status. May 22 goes into delayed customs hold in China. So now it will flow through California on its way eventually to Georgia. When I then have to promptly turn around and begin return process on a laptop I DO NOT WANT. I have already purchased a brand new one from their competitor and received the very next day better specs for less money! Lesson learned HP is a garbage company now.
I bought this one 2012 and still going strong without a glitch. The HP support people have helped me install my printer online and help me with other problems that were probably my fault. From the reviews of the new laptops HP seems to have gone downhill. I hope not as I have had such luck with these machines. I am not kind or careful either, often just throw the thing in my purse without padding. Right now it is lying sidewas on my living room floor.
I've been purchasing HP laptops and printers since 2000 and in all that time, only experienced 2 issues. The first in 2001 I had a P3 laptop fail and it was serviced promptly under the warranty. Two weeks ago, I sent a ZBook Studio in for repair due to a graphics issue and it still remains unresolved even after I e-mailed the C.E.O. Though the response I received indicated that someone from the executive team would reach out, they have yet to do so. I'm very disappointed and am reticent about purchasing further HP products. They can and must do better.
I purchased an HP Envy printer. The set-up was quite complicated. I had two of my "tech savvy" friends help and finally got it working. In no time I was getting a message that my printer wasn't connected to my internet. After many attempts at fixing the problem I kept receiving that message. After paying the Geek Squad I discovered that HP was causing this fake error because I did not renew my ink subscription. I was shocked that they caused this issue. I will never purchase another HP product and urge all potential purchasers to beware of this scheme!
Bought a brand new laptop 18 days ago had nothing but problems software and hardware they are horrible honoring any warranty or replacement especially bought from third parties! Be careful of their warranty they offer it's not worth the money in all honesty HP is not respected or worth company
Multiple transfers with disconnects during transfer. Simple issue never resolved. Ultimately, after 2.5hrs of wasted time they sent me back to the department that started this vicious game of hot potato. Makes me never want to by HP again! Seriously the worst customer experience ever!
If you do NOT purchase the company's ink plan -- they are connected to your new printer and-- they
Will remove the print word and replace it with save or cancel. Your printer no longer works! This should be against the law! I was forced to buy another brand of printer and it works! Do NOT buy a H P printer!~~!
Answer: Impossible by phone since at least December 2023. ( May be before)
Answer: I'm old and remember the HP of 20 years ago. Boy has time changed this company.
Answer: Lenovo is similar to HP, though the performance of Lenovo's computers is complete crap, the upside to it is that they at least have good service.
HP has a rating of 1.2 stars from 520 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with HP most frequently mention customer service, tech support and instant ink. HP ranks 201st among Laptops sites.
