I would rate this zero- but that's not an option. I purchased a printer, it would not connect to Wifi- I've been transferred 6 times with no resolution. I've contacted my internet provider- everything is secure, but I still can't get this printer to connect. And apparently they can't either. I will never purchase another HP product. No one knows what the hell their doing.
This brand of laptops is a joke. I bought a laptop that in less than 1 year started to have serious battery and system problems. After 2 years the laptop had so many problems that I could no longer use it. So in the end I paid 500 euros for some cheap pieces of plastic, pure garbage.
I have used HP printers for over 20 years. Your ink has gone so far down and quality. I bought color and black for 6:40 XL 7200 printer. After I put the color in I found that the package said it was outdated. I printed one page and it's now dead no color.
I have bought three packages each of color and black in order to run the sprinter that I bought last September. Quality of your ink is totally unacceptable. Will not ever buy another HP product.
We purchased a HP printer about 8 months ago and it has yet to produce one printed page. Calling tech support is the worst experience of many bad companies. It is impossible to understand the so-called tech support people., rendering it utterly useless. I will never buy another HP product.
I bought a printer 3 in 1 and it was not working when I took it out the box. Hp customer service was horrible and they never fixed or had any resolve to why... by the way your warranty only is valid when your product is purchased through them directly
Utterly stupid! My printer is WiFi.
My laptop has WiFi! Running Linux?
But I have to carry the laptop to where the HP Wi-Fi printer is situated(connected to my workstation PC) and plug in a USB cable to the laptop in order to set the WiFi printer up for 'WIRELESS' print capability!
Then unplug the USB cable, reconnect it to my workstation
STUPIDITY AT ITS WORST.
BTW, my iPads get it automatically by their WiFi capabilities.
These printers and people are all Chinese. I started receiving multiple telemarketing calls emails and scam emails after using them and calling Thier customer support line I know it's them because my real information anywhere else. I had to give them my real information because the printer was so problematic and they want to send emails and will get your information out especially when you have to sit on the phone with them everyday.stay away unless you like spam!
HP Office Jet Pro 6978 is a worthless piece of garbage. Printer will not merge with laptop and have to reload it every time I try to use it. Scanning will not work. I will be throwing this piece of junk in the trash where it belongs!
Laptop was good right up to the point when it became useless because the charging port is defective. This is a big issue and there are multiple complaints online. Plug in to charge and it starts smoking. All your data on your hard drive is there, but you can't access it because you can't charge the battery, and, of course, it's out of warranty. I'll never buy another HP product. Stand behind your products; don't hide behind your warranty.
This is the worst purchase experience I've ever had. HP delivered my order to a wrong address, I reached out a couple of times trying to resolve their mistake in order to get my order. It's either they care less about the customer or they are incompetent. No one reached out via email or phone as they said. I was the one that kept contacting them. I finally got a call from the person where they delivered my order and drove there to pick it up. Called this morning, the supervisor was saying he is going to waive the restocking fee for me when I return as I was the one that messed up and they are doing me a favor. I will definitely take my business elsewhere and donate or give a way the laptop as I choose not to have anything to with them. Very bad taste indeed
This has got to be the worse printer company ever. They force you into buying their printer cartridges. If you do not buy theirs, they hold you printer hostage so you cannot printer nothing at all. I purchased the printer for me to use not you to track everything that is printed. HP telling me when I need to replace my printer cartridge is none of your business and you should stay the hell of people's business. Feel free to contact me but I know how that will go, absolutely no worry. I will be letting that place wear I purchased this piece of crap what my experience was with this company and I can only hope that they will listen and remove all that they care.
HP used to be old school PCs that had no style but now with all of their new hp envy computers they really have done well in impressing me with both video and sound. Gaming is pure bliss on these machines. I have bought from the site rather than going to costco which did have it cheaper as I was able to buy a 3 year warranty from HP for a good price and I tend to use those warranties since I keep my laptop for at least 2 years. Otherwise you might find an HP cheaper at costco. The other thing is you can customize on the HP site.
I have had numerous HP laptops. One would think that I would have learned my lesson after the first one lasted a little over a year, but sadly, that is not the case. I currently have two HP laptops in my home which stopped working shortly after the warranty ran out. My current HP laptop is in for repair for the second time in less than 4 months. Naturally, my warranty runs out at the end of this month. The customer service is absolutely awful! I have literally spent hours on hold, with little or no resolution. So please learn from my mistakes and DO NOT purchase from HP.
Bought a laptop from HP.com less than 7 days ago, today, the same laptop was listed for $300 less. Customer Service would not refund the difference. As a long time customer ordering quite a few laptops, found this very poor service. They would not entertain swapping for a higher price laptop, credit on a future purchase or other solution. HP.com customer service communicated it would be subject to a 15% restocking fee if returned.
My laptop has a hardware problem and it has nothing to do with me. We called and they told us we can pay over half of what we paid for the computer originally or buy a new one. They told us "this is just how it is." I have only had this computer for a year and a few months and it already stopped working and won't turn on and they will do nothing to help. I am a college student and do not have the money to buy another laptop, but now I will have to since hp has no interest in helping me. Customer service is extremely poor and my family has owned many hp's and has had problems with most. I would not recommend this brand.
I bought a laptop. A hard disk broke and I lost all the data. Opening a program causes CPU's temperatures to rise above 90°C. Few keycaps broke. A battery's capacity went down a lot and soon after the battery stopped working and now won't even charge. There's some more bad things about the laptop but there's just so many that I don't even remember them.
Great laptop but horrendous customer service (India again) and poor sales persons. I came very close to mailing my $1265 custom laptop back to HP due to the salesperson lying to me and having to purchase additional items to install what they sold me. 1. The salesperson lied about the number of CD/DVD slots I would be getting. They told me 2 and there is only 1. I wanted two for copying CDs/DVDs. 2. He assured me that customer service would NOT be India but the Philippines. It IS India and twice I could not understand them and they could not understand me. 3. The salesperson sold me a "kit" to put a second solid state hard drive in my laptop. When I received it, I realized that I now had to purchase an installation kit. 4. HP does not publish adverse reviews, so do not go to their site for reviews. They cherry pick what they want you to see.
The computer gets 5 stars while sales and customer service gets 0 stars. This averages to 3 stars.
I bought a laptop for my kid with a higher speed processor and nothing else. To make matters worse, when I realized it will take until July 20 I called to cancel. I talked to a "Walter" and then his supervisor "Lisa" who was unprofessional and even dared to say "let me educate you". Well, I have a grad degree in software engineering and even a patent (google it) and someone who does not even speak English properly dares to "educate me" is really ridiculous let alone helpful. Good Bye and I will make sure my member friends in my PTO as well as workplace know about my disappointed kid.
It has already been more than a month and they still have not shipped my product, it was promised a week ago to show up. Now they are saying it will be another month. It will take at least 2 1/2 months for my $1500 computer to even be put on a truck and at this rate my product is worth $150 less already. Never order from HP ever it is not worth your time or money
We have had horrible experiences with HP products and even worse with so-called "product support." Tried to get help on a supposedly top of their line computer that completely crashed after only a couple of months; the only reaction we could get was that it was a "throwaway" and they would do nothing to support the warranty. Bought HP replacement ink for an HP printer, the printer said it was defective. Spent about three hours on their online "support," and they agreed to replace it. This took two weeks, and they sent the wrong ink cartridge. Just spent another two hours on the phone with them, got shunted to five different departments, and was asked at least half a dozen times if I would please try to force the wrong ink cartridge into the printer. They are supposedly sending another replacement in another two weeks. We are never, never buying HP again.
Answer: Impossible by phone since at least December 2023. ( May be before)
Answer: I'm old and remember the HP of 20 years ago. Boy has time changed this company.
Answer: Lenovo is similar to HP, though the performance of Lenovo's computers is complete crap, the upside to it is that they at least have good service.
