My experience with Hoteling dot com went well, but when I called the hotel directly (*******311) for confirmation # ******* they had not received anything are may not honor my reservation when I arrive on Saturday, April 2nd... Please look into this. I thank you for any help, Jim.
Just like it says in the title. Last night I made a reservation and did not receive an e-mail from hoteling.com so I googled and found this site with all the problems people are having. I contacted the hotel today and sure enough I don't have a reservation. This hotel is the second to last night of a 70km hike over New Years, the busiest time of the year here in New Zealand. If I had shown up with no reservation we would have nowhere to sleep. The hotel asked me to go to hoteling.com to manage my booking and get the documents but when I do it says they are not available (funny that) and to call them. Of course there is no contact number, just e-mail addresses which having read the other reviews here look like I'll be lucky getting any sort of reply. Seriously unimpressed and unsure what to do next.

What can I say? We booked our hotel very quickly and easily with no hassle. The way it should be. Everything was confirmed within minutes of booking by email. The deal was good (we compared the same hotel at other sites and direct booking)

Made a reservation - received a number. Have screenshots.
Waited 5 days - no confirmation email. Called the hotel - they can't find my name or anything at all indicating my imminent presence at their location and are sold out on that date. Went to the site - it can't find my booking documents and asks to "please call." Ah, but there is no number! Only email addresses. Wrote an email - waiting for a response. I can click "cancel" on the site - but that carries an $50 penalty.
This is ridiculous. I am going to write TripAdvisor, Trivago and every other booking aggregator I can think of and demand that this "company" is taken out of their listings. F***ing scammers.

Do not do business with this company. There are several others that are much better. A seven day cancellation policy is unrealistic. We booked a hotel and cancelled within minutes and they would not refund our money.

I was very skeptical after booking with hoteling after reading all of the bad reviews. They are a 3rd party who books through another 3rd party so it takes time to set up the reservation for them. I got a confirmation email right away unlike other people. I was very nervous and contacted customer support who assured my reservation was received and processes. This was booked quite a while back (4 months before trip) which seems to be the best for hoteling. I called the hotel today and they confirmed our reservation and it was all correct!
Advice: do not use hoteling for last minute purchases.

Start with the good, your site is easy to navigate and set up booking. The customer service person I spoke to was very nice. On the other hand though; I do not think it is completely appropriate to keep a person entire payment if the booking was canceled a week from the date. I can understand charging a cancellation fee of some sort maybe around 25% due to administration charges but to keep the whole thing is just greedy if you ask me. Life happens sometimes and plans have to change. Most of us out here don't have money to just give away. I will not be using your site in the future and will not recommend it to me friends and family. I will be more careful and ensure that I don't make this mistake twice, so thank you for the lesson. I booked an all inclusive resort in January for February for my girlfriend's birthday got an email confirmation and we arrived at the resort and they had no reservations for us. I was shocked and embarrassed to go thru what we went through. It took them 2.5hrs to get a replacement accommodation. Definitely not happy and they charged me more than originally paid for. Just booked a night for Nov 21 and the reservation came back Nov 01. Now they are only going to refund me 16. Of the 66 I paid. Beware of this company! I will never book through them again and I will tell everyone I know. Shame on Trivago for including them.

Want to charge me almost $500 to cancel a booking that is 2+weeks away. THe hotel doesn't charge for cancellations (up to 24hours notice). When contacting live chat, I got a "too bad" response. Asked for a manager, and was giving a phone number that isn't in service. Turn around and run way... fast.
Co-workers booked with another site to the same hotel, and were given no question asked refunds.

I am sorry to hear of your disappointment while using our services. Unfortunately, when booking with us our policy apply, so you are unable to cancel your booking with a full refund. According to this, 7 or more days prior to your check-in results in 20% of your booking cancellation. We are able to provide attractive and competitive rates, because of our strict cancellation policy in the contracts with our suppliers. This is why we have to charge the customers in case of any cancellations.
I apologise you've found it disappointing, however there is nothing more we could do in such situation.

But what a scam! Made a booking, but then didn't get an email so figured it didn't go through. Then, a week later, i notice the charge. I called the hotel but of course they didn't have any reservation from me. I simply do not understand why this is legal? They said they are processing my refund but ill believe it when i see it.

Just like everybody else... my reservation was cancelled without my knowledge... have to pay full price for two nights and now, I have to go through the pain of calling up my credit card and ask for a refund. Do not use Hoteling.com... scam, scam, scam!
So I booked through the this company more than a week ago and when I called the hotel they have no record of my reservation and the confirmation code that you get is not related to the hotel so there is no way to track the transaction. Hoteling told me that they have emailed their supplier who would then contact the hotel. This was 6 hours ago. I have again spoken to the hotel in question and they still have no record of my stay which is to start in 6 hours. Not sure what to do. Very unhappy customer. Stay away from this company!!

I booked through Hoteling for a friend of mine last week, didn't receive any email like a lot of the users said, called them up and their CS guy answered quickly and send me my voucher. Sounds good so far. Until my friend show up with her passport's name spell slightly differently from the name that I help her for the booking and the hotel will not accept the voucher since the name is slight different. I called Hoteling hotline and their CS rep Agnes helped me all the way with changing the name and contacting the hotel, at the end everything is fine. Took her a lot of back and forth and I am so relief that it was resolved at the end. Thanks Agnes.

Before vacation
Just like many people, I was charged twice.
So I called them to refund one. (Not done yet)
Called the hotel and realised that there's no booking at all.
Called the agent 4 times, spoke to 4 different people. Finally a confirmation number was given to me.
During vacation
Went to the hotel, realised that they booked bed only instead of bed & breakfast. Not sure how the hotel sorted this with the agent. But I was given breakfast eventually.
After vacation
Hotel charged me for the full price of the hotel room, apparently agent (Hoteling/lowcostbed) did not pay for the room. So I have to pay and dispute the charge with Hoteling.
Overall
Terrible experience completely.
Refunds are still not completed.
I don't get any reply via their support email.
Customer hotline is an international number, I have spent lots of $ on international call to reach them.
Avoid at all cost, trivago should avoid pointing customers to Hoteling.

The hoteling website does not refresh if you are searching various dates and days so when you confirm and pay you may not be getting the dates and days you think you've signed up for. The process to contact anyone for a correction is so opaque that after two days of trying for a refund, contacting my bank, getting a phone number to, get this, Hotel Beds, since it seems hoteling.com is not the primary - it's a thicket of companies which make it impossible to get satisfaction. E.g. Their customer service sucks!

I booked with hoteling.com 5 days ago. I received no confirmation email and was asked to be patient when I emailed hoteling.com after 3 days. Now my credit card has been charged and have still not received confirmation. Further more, other members of my group have made bookings with the same hotel on booking.com and they received confirmation instantly, so I struggle to see what the delay is. Also, they have no UK based contact number! I will be asking for a full refund if my confirmation is not received promptly.
UPDATE: I rang hoteling.com's US contact number and, after spending 40 minutes on hold, I managed to speak to one of their representatives. They confirmed they weren't able to confirm the booking with the hotel, and have offered me a full refund hopefully within 2 days. I can only dream that the refund goes as smoothly as the booking! I shall not be do business with hoteling. Com's incompetence again in the future.

Answer: Yes we received a full refund but only after many emails and posting on as many sites as i could like this and getting onto Trivago as we went through their site. Waited 30 odd days for a booking which was never going to come. Kept in touch with hotel and the booking never came through. It is all a big Scam
