Went in to get a grill and the website said they had it in store, they did but it was on the truck, went back the next day to pick up and said I really should be compensated for having to make a second trip. No questions asked he just gave me 10% off a pretty expensive grill, nice customer service move from Home Depot!
I ordered washer and dryer and microwave. Told they would deliver on a Friday. Called for window of delivery that morning. Told 1-4. I CALLED at 3 pm as to when products would be delivered. Told around 4:30. I never received a call. I called at 5:45 and told that the truck broke down. I had cancelled clients' appointments and scheduled loading dock for the entire day. Terrible business. I called their main corporate office in Atlanta, GA and will file a complaint with that State's proper offices.
Hello all,,, I am writing this review because I am beyond mad! They are horrible with delivery and customer service please stay away go to lowes for all your home needs! They think they are doing you a favor buying off of them!' No Home Depot I will never ever return!
A few weeks ago we purchased a microwave from home depot. We also signed up for installation from one of their subcontractors. They were supposed to deliver the microwave today, with the installer scheduled for tomorrow. They never showed up and they're now promising to come tomorrow. However that means the installer has to reschedule, so the microwave can't be installed for another three weeks. So... no microwave to help get Thanksgiving dinner on the table. I'll never buy anything from them again. Worst service I've ever experienced.
We have always used Home Depot for most of our home and lawn products. We usually get free delivery and if not we pick up are items. There products are high quality and when we have had any issues they have taken care of them quickly and efficiently. When this cabinet arrived it was damaged. After contacting Home Depot they sent out a new cabinet which also arrived with damaged parts. This time we asked just to sent out replacement parts for the damaged parts. Which they did and it was no fault of Home Depot, but that of UPS as they did not handle the packaging carefully. As we had video of the driver delivering the item and just tossing it on the front deck. As you can see the cabinet looks great.
Home Depot is my go-to destination for all my home improvement projects. The store's vast selection of tools, materials, and appliances makes it easy to find everything I need in one place. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, offering expert advice and guidance. Plus, the prices are competitive, and the availability of in-store pickup and delivery options adds convenience
True, Home Depot has ALMOST everything you need. However, customer service is lacking! Unless you know exactly what you want, you will have a problem. Perfect for the all around handyman and contractor. Not so good for the novice homeowner
I always find Lowes to be overall cheaper on the same items. Usually Lowes gets my business, if not Home Depot works. I think Lowes needs more employees and Home Depot. No one ever seems around when you need them!
Never ever even think to make a house renovation with Home Depot. They will scam you all the way! My family paid 3 times higher price for everything they did. And we were waiting for them almost 8 (!) months. When they promise you life time warranty, that means you will call them during all your life and will never get any help.
Home Depot can be very price competitive on what it sells, but if you are looking for an exact replacement part you may have to settle for a less perfect universal fit part and hope for the best or shop at your local hardware, plumbing or nut and bolt specialty store to get a fair price on just a single or small number of nuts, bolts or screws.
I have a high opinion of the Rigid (house brand) tools that Home Depot sells along with the brand name products. I have never had one fail, but I have had to replace some tool batteries, but none sold today last indefinitely. I highly recommend the Rigid tools. You can get the best deals on tools just before Christmas if you can wait that long.
I placed a 2800 order for delivery. They flaked twice for delivery from the store. Both were no call no shows. They told me it would cost $90.00 more if I wanted the delivery that week. I was sent poorly packaged and damaged goods from their distribution center. I spent over seven hours on the phone trying to get my money back. This is the most pathetic Home Depot I have encountered. I would not even recommend it to someone I do not like.
They are now calling me to change my reviews but they wont refund me for the items they did not deliver. They are stating that they did make the delivery.
In Redoing my bathroom, I explained totally what I was doing. On the walls I needed 1/2 inch concrete board and was sold 1/4 inch. I was already half way finished. With this bad advice I have had many problems. Wrote to Home Depot... pretty much too bad so sad. YouTube has given me better advice than Home Depot.
The sales folks at my HD in S. Chesapeake work very hard to please the customer. I am amazed to see people treat them so poorly. Its a tough job my hats off to those sales folks who have to contend with the abuse these folks do. On the up side I hear the company does "try" to take good care of their employees.
Store #0975 went to pro desk at 3:00 and was told that the person was clocking out and no one was coming to replace her. I called the next day and took 30 minutes to connect to place order for bid room
Once bid was received it took 3 more tries over 2 days as after 30 minutes each time back and forth on hold I gave up finally today I was able to place the order - It is not like calling any of my other suppliers that understand that builders are to busy to deal with amateurs
HomeDepot has terrible customer service; it is like trying to pull teeth to find anyone to help you when you have a question or need assistance. Additionally, they do not willing stand behind what they sell. Lastly, if you attempt to obtain assistance through their customer care, everything is automated; there is no option to actually talk to a human being. If you call Home Depot Corporate, you can take to a person, but they have no commitment to resolve your issue. Worthless!
Their stores are huge, so I recommend you find someone with an orange apron right away and ask him or her to walk you to the product you're looking for. Once you're there, it'll probably be there too. I mean, the stores are working warehouses. And since their buyers buy in BULK, they pass the savings on to you.
I know people who saved thousands on their kitchen design and cabinets over boutique kitchen designers.
Why the hell should I pay 22$ for speedier shipping for a product that takes 11 days to reach me, 3 days longer than originally estimated by them. It ships from a state that is run by illegal invaders from Mexico so that would explain it. Asinine. Paul Williams, NY
I'm starting to suspect that Home Depot has a policy of not posting negative product reviews. I've tried to leave a less than flattering review of my experience with an Ego battery powered yard tool. I have tried to post the review several times and even gotten emails from Home Depot saying that the review has been posted, but it has not. I will no longer assume that items with a large number of positive reviews can be trusted.
They screwed me out of $3000. I ordered a rug waited about three months for it to come in when it came in it was defective they promised that they would replace it, they even wrote it on the paperwork and I never heard back from them. The installers they sent out did not know or speak English they were obviously illegal and we could not communicate with them. Bad place to do business with stay away from them!
I have exemplary credit and without notice, Home Depot cancelled my card due to inactivity. They say they sent a letter to warn me, but I didn't receive it, it went to an old address. They received the undelivered letter back. And although they had two other means in which to contact me, they choose not to bother. Too bad for Home Depot, I just built a new house and am about to purchase large appliances to fill it.
Do they not realize that there are many other places to buy the wares they have to offer at the same prices! Oh well Home Depot, my appliances will be purchased elsewhere, along with anything else that I might have purchased at your stores! Keep it up and perhaps you will be the next in a long line of stores to close down due to your own poor policies.
Answer: Hi Betty, you can also return without receipt if you purchased using your credit card. Give them the same CC and they can tell the price you bought at.
