All the products in the store are closer to Walmart product now than anything else. Overpriced junk. Great Corporate policy but overpriced junk.
I buy stuff for my house or apartments and if i buy them thru swagbucks i earn points your going to buy this stuff anyways why not be rewarded.
I was in Home Depot in Freeport about a week ago. I was looking for a certain ceramic drill bit. After 30 minutes of not seeing any Orange aprons, that's what their help wears I called the corporate number from the store. While waiting for the store manager, I saw this fellow by the name of John with an apron. I asked him where I might find the aisle I was in the ceramic bit.He shrugged his hands as if to say he has no idea. He walked back three aisles and saw the person that worked in the tool department. He pointed that I should walk to that aisle and find that particular person. Unfortunately having problems walking I couldn't do that and when I tried to tell him that, he walked right by me as if I did not even exist. I told the manager she said she will take care of it however I doubt it happened! I also called the corporate office and lodged a complaint about the store leaving my name and phone number, and no one even had the decency to call and find out what was going on. I now shop at Lowe's and they don't know what to do for you next. If a product is in the aisle they actually walk you directly to the product and help you until you put the item in your cart ready to go to the cashier. They are a little further from me then Home Depot but well worth it regardless of price. I will probably wind up using Lowes to redo my entire kitchen and put down hardwood floors and goodbye to Home Depot. I already have the contractor who I deal with no longer buys from Home Depot and he lives in Freeport. Lowes it is! Try it and see the difference! There's a saying what a difference a day makes, Now my saying is what a difference a store makes. Good luck Home Depot!
My experiences with Home Depot are varied. Like most big box stores, the happiest customers are going to be those that can go in, grab the stuff they need, pay and leave. When you need service then all bets are off. I am building a house so I am a building supply regular, but the pro-desk is where I run into problems. I work full-time and often can't get to the store until 4:30. When I started building, I came in with a material list I wanted a quote on. I was told the pro-guy just left I needed to go to the service desk. I went to the service desk and was told I would have to come back when the pro-desk guy was there. So, I took my $16,000 sale to a lumber yard. I figured if they couldn't handle a piece of paper, they couldn't handle my lumber. Flash forward to last week. I tried the new pay on-line/pick-up in store service. Ordered a water heater and install parts. Rec'd confirmation order was ready. Go to store and park by pro-desk door so I can load up and go. Walk in, see my order but the cashier (not currently serving any customers) tells me I have to go to the other end of the store to get my order (customer service desk again). Walk down there, hand them my confirmation e-mail and tell them i want to pick up my order. Now the waiting starts. The clerk doesn't seem to know how to operate the computer, then calls for someone in plumbing, then tries to get them to pick the order... eventually I sign my paperwork and can go back to the other end of the store to get my merchandise. It would have taken much less time to get merchandise myself, pay and leave.
If you regularly shop at Home Depot, you will probably get to know some of the employees and they can be very helpful. The department with the employees that have helped me the most would have to be plumbing, with electrical coming in a close second. I would recommend trying to shop weekdays and when they are less busy to get the best customer service.
Impossibly bad experience. I ordered 1 washer, one dryer, one stacking kit, installation, 5 year extended warranty.
Waited 1.5 weeks for delivery, at the end of the delivery window I received a call from the driver that the order was damaged. I was on and off hold for over an hour to set up another delivery.
Waited one more week for Delivery Day II, no one showed up. I called Home Depot after the delivery window, I was informed that the delivery was reported damaged again (no one contacted me). No one even called me that they were on the way. I was on and off hold for over an hour to set up Deliver Day III.
Waited almost 2 weeks more, received a courtesy call that the driver would be here in 30 minutes so I went down to meet him because I wanted to see the deliver with my own eyes since that was not an option the previous 2 times. My order was not on the truck. I called Home Depot, I was on and off hold for over an hour. I was informed the "Warehouse Manager" would call me within 48 hours to set up Delivery Day IV. I was told if he did not call to call Home Depot back.
After 48 hours, no phone call from the "Warehouse Manager". I called Home Depot, after being on hold for a time, she came back on talking fixing my order and I said simply let's start with the beginning, why didn't the "Warehouse Mangager" call me? Because we are starting a conversation that I should have had 2 days ago instead of making me wait 2 days from someone that appears was never going to call me. That conversation didn't go anywhere and I was offered to deliver one item and not the other, and I could not place an order yet because it's not in stock but I could place an order in the future. How does my order situation get this bad? I didn't lose my patience until after the last conversation, I was patient for way too long. It starts turning into a game when you are told the "Warehouse Manager" would call you, I ask what if he doen't call?, it's replied "Call us back". It's a different company messing up, Home Depot should be sorting out the problems on my behalf, not leaving it to me and the "Warehouse Manager" that is never going to call me
The staff is nice and all but the products are limited and the prices far from bottom barrel. I'd rather shop local.
I always know where to go and everything is here I need for my home. Only issue is once agian having enough staff around to answer questions
I have bought almost all kind of stuff from here. And that is really have worth for me. I am very pleased that i have chosen this.
:)
They carry garden tools! Got one heck of a deal on a tiller and weed whacker! Now I can have my garden!
I recommend you stay away from buying at Home Depot online, you will be caught in an abuse
I bought a cabinet and a piece of furniture to support the TV screen, they arrived with defects, I requested an email address to be able to make an attachment of the photos, Marlee from the customer services agent told me that they had no emails :) that took almost two hours texting, and then the supervisor MC Kesur Finch took another hour and a half to give me the email, since they said that the photos that I sent they did not receive. Don't bother calling on the phone because no one answers.
In total, the texts last five consecutive hours, I told them that I am a senior citizen with health problems who is exhausted, tired, and very disappointed with the treatment, they didn't care.
I wanted to do a review of the products and the service and my criticisms were rejected 4 times, they do not want other naive people to find out about the poor quality of the products that they offer on their website, the products are really unacceptable, the furniture and the service.
I had to report to BBB, to mediate, and get my money back.
Also, the return of the furniture was another nightmare, they did everything possible in their power to prevent it.
Please check the reviews about HOME DEPOT IN THE MEDIA I made the mistake of not doing it.
I have bought all kinds of stuff from Home Depot. From materials to tools (and even a snowblower!) Great place to shop!
JW floor covering did a great job above and beond real good work and very friendly drove far to do the job
Went to Home Depot to get a nail gun, the employ came to help then left to help someone else while we were still asking questions. Very rude, we left
Lowe's is simply better: friendlier customer attention, support and great prices and products. HomeDepot is simply not what it once was.
A no show/no call for my first install, next day a crew came at 730pm for a 3-5, smell'n of alcohol.
Save time and money and order from another company. Stay away from Home Depot online ordering service
I am glad to saying about Home Depot, I found Home depot best among others. I will sure use again your service. Thank you
Good store inside and online for DIY projects and supplies. They send coupons and text deals regularly.
The Home Depot in Houston, Tx, is a great place to visit. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Definitely will continue to visit.
Answer: Hi Betty, you can also return without receipt if you purchased using your credit card. Give them the same CC and they can tell the price you bought at.
